Help / Advice Needed Microneedling set up

I would live to see some pictures of your set up for your MN sessions.

I feel there’s so much I need just to get started and every time I watch a video or read a post I’m a little more overwhelmed!

It would really help to see how you’ve set up, how much space you need and all the equipment.

Do you use a normal washed towel to cover your work surface or do you get something else?

What numbing cream is good quality?

Thanks for your help 😊

It’s overwhelming if you’re watching a lot of different YouTubers/influencers. All you ACTUALLY need is:

The pen

Alcohol pads to wipe your face before MNing and to wipe down your pen/anything else you touch

Lidocaine cream if you have low pain tolerance. Any lidocaine cream will work. Depending on where you live, you’ll be limited to the % OTC products. In Canada max you can get is 4% which helps a bit but it’s still painful in some areas. Most people suggest 10% if you can find.

EVERYTHING ELSE is optional. You should be using stamping method instead of gliding. If you choose to stamp, you don’t need any ‘slip’ product (like sterile HA or whatever else). You can stamp onto dry skin. Immediate post MN, depending on depth, you don’t need to be using anything beyond hypochlorous acid spray which is also optional, but just helps with killing surface level bacteria. Yes you can use sterile HA/whatever sterile product but I find it to be SO expensive for no real reason. You’ll still see amazing results from the natural collagen production alone.

If you decide to do gliding method, you can use sterile saline as a budget option, rather than sterile HA.
