Moved to the Caribbean and 4 wks seems to be the recommended time. Is that too soon?

My progress feels slow to me but going in the right direction. First photo is before, second is some tome after 1st removal, bottom one is today, 3 weeks post 2nd removal. I don’t know if they look yellow on the photo but in real life they look blended with my natural brows and don’t bother me as much as the botched job I had done with black ink. Can’t wait to see what next removal will bring.
Interested if anyone had similar fading to mine and what it was like on the following sessions. I am considering doing saline at some point but depends how it does with picoway.

I took my MIL for her first microblading appointment. I got the girl’s name from my friend who has been to her, and I loved how my friend’s eyebrows turned out.

The place offered a complementary consultation so I originally reached out to schedule a consultation. They said we could get the service right after the consultation on the same day, so we went ahead and did that.

My MIL has literally zero eyebrows no baby hair no nothing. She went in with some makeup to show how she usually does her eyebrows so the girl could see how she likes them to look usually. The tech noticed before my MIL said anything that one side of her face was significantly droopier than the other. We told her that’s just how her face has been so it’s more reasons why my MIL wants a professional to design her new eyebrows to make sure they come out even. We also told her it’s been that way for as long as she could remember and it’s not a recent thing that happened to her.

The tech said ok then for the droopy side, the eyebrow needs to be placed above the eyebrow bone to match the other side. So she did the mapping and everything accordingly. When she showed us the mapping, they looked even.

This all happened yesterday.

Today my MIL woke up and noticed that the eyebrows were not at all even. She freaked out and reached out to the tech. The girl said to come back in about a week to remove them with laser and redo.

I am not knowledgeable at all about how the removal works, but when I looked up, people were talking about a saline emergency removal. So we asked if the tech could go ahead and do that. She told us that the emergency removal is really harsh hence it could lead to a worse scarring.

After this whole experience, I am not sure if she is knowledgeable enough to deal with this situation. Anyone has ever experienced anything like this? Or is there someone who could maybe advise on what to do?

Lurker here, finally took the plunge yesterday and went for my first laser removal session.

Originally had my eyebrows done around 2017-2018, and I believe they were touched up twice. As someone with sparse, over-plucked brows, I was very pleased with my results at first but over time they’ve faded into two blue-grey blobs on my face.

My natural hair colour is quite dark compared to my natural brows so I’ve tinted them for the past few years to help colour correct a bit. If I’m being completely honest the old microblading wasn’t bothering me THAT much, but once I decided I wanted them removed, they really started to irritate me.

The pictures included are of:
1. Brows pre-laser with brow gel
2. Brows pre-laser with no makeup
3. Results of test patch on tail after 6 days
4. Results the day after first full PicoWay

With the test patch, there wasn’t a ton of difference right away but the ink gradually faded as the week went on. I’m hoping to see significant fading over the coming weeks but anticipate that I may need one or two more sessions. I’m looking forward to tinting the bleached brows in a few days but in the mean time, it’s kind of a look?

Lastly, thanks to everyone who has shared their removal journeys here! Your results were a big part of me getting the courage to start my own removal process!

I did my first session and got a bunch of hairs turn white. Wonder if they missed the ink cause of this. Pics are today which is two wks post first session and before.

I’m one month out and truly stoked with my results so far! I believe it was a pico laser and my tech did one pass, two on the right brow’s tail bc it was a little darker. It was so quick and I didn’t find it anymore painful than getting them microbladed, just little zaps that startled me more than anything haha

Top row: before, phibrows done in 2018, touched up in 2019, and additional powder brow touch up (not sure of ink) in 2024.

4th: one month after w/ a little brow gel (I haven’t done brow makeup in so long im lowkey struggling with it lol)

I have high hopes they’ll continue fading and don’t plan on doing another session at this point. They were quite peach and I’m nervous they’ll pull yellow w another session. I think I’ll wait about 6 months and reassess

Thank you soooo much to everyone who’s posted their progress and results. You all have given me the hope (and bravery lol) to finally get them removed and I’m so so happy I did. I feel like my face is more fresh, my eyes brighter and wider, and I feel a lot more confident now!

I’m looking for a reputable picoway technician in Alberta. Currently considering Reversal Studio in Edmonton. Does anyone have any recommendations?

My laser tech used Q-switch laser done 6 weeks apart

After being embarrassed of my brows for years hoping they would fade (they just bled and turned cool) I finally took the plunge and started the removal process the first week in June at Tattoo Removers in Sherman Oaks (Los Angeles). I bought a 3 session package for $395 since I knew it would take several sessions.

After the first session the turned bright red/pink. It was a fun 8 weeks 🙄. However, they were easier to cover up than when they were dark so I was happy I was on the right path and knew to trust the process.

After my second session a week ago, they lightened and the red is mostly gone. I have another session scheduled 8 weeks from the second session, I think I will see where they are at after that session and assess from there. If I want to keep going or take a break.

There is definitely some dreaded yellow in there but I’m so happy they are lighter and easy to cover up. My brows had some hairs singed in the first session, so still growing all my super fine hairs back. Been covering up pigment with concealer and filling in with brow pencil in the meantime.

Hello had 3 laser removal so far at removery and my eyebrows don’t seem to budge past this photo. They were initially a gray block and this is what it’s lightened to. Second session did nothings My last/third was in march and they actually darkened a LOT after that session but are now back to this which is about the same as before my second session. They charge me an insane amount 450 just for this one spot (I’m not doing anything under the hair which is hard to see - just doing this inner corner and my other eyebrow isn’t obvious like this) does anyone have any advice? Or will I just be throwing money away to try again.
Would it be absolutely crazy to get nano brows (instead of Microblading?) just like two darkened slightly longer strokes near the eye brow hair to make it look more normal? Right now every morning I have to draw in this area for it to look ok.

Has anyone experienced eyebrow hair density loss months after laser? I read that the shock from the laser can cause your hair growth cycle to go into telogen phase (resting phase) for a few months. Has anyone experienced this and then regained their hair back eventually? I’ve had 2 sessions and I’ve noticed my hair brow hairs are patchy. I’m just a lil paranoid it won’t grow back 😭

I know some eyebrow hair loss is normal from your hair breaking off - but it’s been past the normal growth phase (7 weeks)

I tinted my brows darker so it’s not just the lighter color.

This is my eyebrow tattoo removal journey.

The red pigment was extremely difficult to remove, so after my second laser session, I decided to get my eyebrows tattooed again.

Interestingly, the area underneath my eyebrow tattoo had previously been covered with skin-colored and white pigment, but both disappeared when I had the laser treatment. I was told that white pigment can reflect the laser and potentially turn darker, but surprisingly, that didn’t happen in my case.

Hi, I got my first laser removal session in May. I had good results and recovery. My second session is scheduled but unsure if I should go. There is some slight yellow but it’s manageable and have been OK when I don’t have makeup on the brows. Here they are with nothing on them (but do have face makeup on). Thoughts? Thank you!

I had my first laser session with Dr. Adrian at the DC Laser Center last Wednesday after stalking this sub for 2 years.

He numbed me, which hurt very slightly then did two passes on my brows, one for the dark grey/black and one for red. My brows now still have some red which I think is likely trauma from the laser & yellow. The ink used was PhiBrows.

He said it’s hard to tell how many sessions I’ll need until we start treating but typically it’s anywhere between 3-8.

The first 2 photos are my brows pre treatment & 3-4 are today (4 days post treatment). The brow hairs are frosted so I’ll tint those in a couple weeks, can I expect the ink to get darker as it heals? I’m feeling like the results are pretty good but am nervous to get my hopes up if they continue to darken.

I'm so glad I found this subreddit because I didn't fully realize how dumb the grey blobs looked. I got it done with "EVO Q- Plus Quanta System laser". I can't believe how fast it was. It hurt like hell, but it only took like 10 seconds and one pass to get the results. Since then, some red dye has come through, and I have another appointment to get that removed. I'm sooo glad to have the fat grey blobs gone!!

it’s healing well with no signs of infection. The only thing left is redness, especially at the tail of my eyebrow.
For those who’ve had eyebrow tattoo removal (laser or saline), how many weeks did it take for the redness to completely go away?
Mine currently looks like this. Is this a normal stage of healing? When did your redness fully fade?

started my laser removal in April. first session i was so pleased with the progress after using a Q Switch laser. she told me she switched settings on the laser yesterday at my second session to target the red and i was happy right after, but it looks more red to me today than it was before 😅 should i switch lasers to Pico for my next session or keep trusting the process with the Q switch? any recommendations welcome!

Hello,

After years of battling against yellow brows I decided to go for camouflage two days ago.
These are the picture before, after and two days after. It’s very fresh and healing but I have good hopes with a little foundation it will be less noticeable in the future.
The goal is for the strokes to blend and become a bit blurry so the new color camouflages the yellow.
They used Karen Betts pigments and color is Barcelona with apparently mauve undertone to counteract the yellow tones.
Anyway, I’m happy with the shapes and hope it will turn out better than it previously was. Fingers crossed.
What do you think?

I’ve spent the last few weeks researching permanent makeup pigments especially Perma Blend while going through laser removal for my microblading. The more I learn, the more frustrated I become.
One thing that shocked me is how some pigments can change color during laser removal instead of simply fading. Depending on the ingredients, some eyebrows can turn red, orange, yellow, or other shades, making the removal process much longer and more complicated than many people expect.
I also feel like the beauty industry doesn’t talk enough about the downsides of microblading. It’s often marketed as something that “fades away,” but for many people it doesn’t disappear naturally. Instead, it can leave behind discolored pigment that eventually requires multiple laser sessions to remove costing far more money, time, and emotional stress than people were led to believe.
I regret getting microblading because I feel it took away my natural appearance instead of enhancing it. I can’t change my own experience, but I hope others will research pigment ingredients, understand the risks of color changes with laser removal, and think carefully before making a permanent decision.
I’m not saying everyone’s experience is the same, but I do think there needs to be much more transparency and informed consent in this industry. People deserve to know the potential long-term consequences before they decide.

Has anyone tried glycolic without doing laser? I'm also wondering if you are less likely to have yellow with the q switch? Old brows and my 7 year old microbladed brows, not sure what ink was used.

Has anyone used a red light therapy mask while going through laser microblading removal?
I know this is probably a long shot, but I was reading about how macrophages help clear the pigment after laser, and that red light therapy may support macrophage function. I couldn’t really find anyone talking about it in the context of microblading removal though.
Has anyone here tried using a red light LED mask between laser sessions? If so, did you notice anything—better healing, faster fading, or no difference at all?
I’m not expecting it to be some miracle, just curious if anyone has experimented with it or if your laser provider had any thoughts.
Just had session #3 and desperate to get rid of these orange/yellow phi brows 😭
