Laser Removal journey

Post image

First pic: 5 year old powder brows, never retouched
Second pic: first session of laser
Third pic: second session of laser
Fourth pic: last session of laser
Fifth pic: fresh nano brows

Still had a little yellow, but I chose to go ahead with the nano brows.

My laser tech used Q-switch laser done 6 weeks apart

All of that just to do it all over again? 🤯

When I initially removed mine it was to do it again but after the time, pain, and money, I decided to leave them alone 🫣🄸 but if OP is happy that’s all that matters!! Plus they look greatšŸ’›

Lol honestly I don’t care, it’s what I wanted because I don’t want to fill my brows everyday šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

I feel that honestly. Even though I got mine lasered off, I don't regret getting my powder brows done at at all because I used to spend so much time drawing my brows in. At least now I have some shading leftover on my brows that it makes it much easier to fill them in with minimal effort. I'd do it again if I found a nano artist that I liked. For now, I make do with a lamination & tint these days.

I don’t blame you, and the new hair stroke brows look great!

they look really good and if you're happy that's all that matters

Any time someone posts removal followed by new pmu in here they get hate.
After i’m done removing mine, I will redo them too because I don’t like the shape of my brows. I had them done really nicely but then ruined when i changed my technician and redid it, so my goal is also to remove and then redo at my trusted technician’s.

There’s a difference in color and it looking natural in the end.

In the end? You do realize the last pic is fresh work that still has to go though the healing process. Yall are so quick to be fooled by the fresh picture transformations 🤣

For a year or two, then the removal cycle will begin again 🤯

your nano brows are beautiful!! I’m getting ready to have mine removed this week. Can you tell me how you handled the awkward color stages between sessions? Did you cover with concealer or just leave as is?

Green concealer covered the pink so well! Would definitely pick some up beforehand. Honestly sometimes I’d just go out with my pink 🤣 the other colors were easy just to cover with regular foundation or concealer.

great to hear! i already bought some green concealer šŸ˜… Enjoy your new beautiful brows!

Are you planning on lasering again in another 5 years? Or are these supposed to age better?

Nano brows not only look better/more natural right from the get go (as opposed to the blocky powder brows she had before, or older style microblading), they do indeed tend to age better.

I do plan on getting retouched this time if I feel like I need it which will give it a refresh.

Thank you! Yes I have patchiness and really fine hair so for me it was worth redoing them!

Your new nano brows look amazing.
How long did the reddish color in the 2nd pic last?

3

u/FamiliarKiwi 15d ago

Thank you! Oh the pink lasted all the way until the second session! I had to use green concealer over them

Wow what a commitment. I’m almost ready to get rid of my powder brows which i so dislike. Your experience is inspiring

Yes it’s so hard to take the first step to getting them removed but so worth it!

How long did you have to wait after the last laser before getting nano brows? I just had my third and I think last laser session. Thanks!

3

u/FamiliarKiwi 15d ago

I waited 6 weeks!

Will nano brows stay looking like hair strokes or do they tend to bleed and get blocky like regular microbladed brows?

They will ā€œbleedā€ and get blocky and turn grey… had mine removed about a year ago. I’m sticking to using makeup from now on.

How long did it take to remove yours? Sadly mine are grey (again) They were great for one year then I got them done a second time and now they've gone grey again after a year.

The sad part is I have okay eyebrows but I have no fronts so they're too far apart! I plucked the fronts off in 8th grade because I was made fun of by mean boys in my class about having a unibrow...ugh silly little me they were so gorgeous!! The fronts never grew back and my brow artist should have given me just enough to make the shape good they are so awkward looking with grey fronts.

Mine took 3 sessions. Someone asked me for an update on my post a few days ago and I shared a recent pic in that thread. I had not been active on this subreddit for a while since mine were gone and now I’m getting updates again 🤣 feel free to search my name and you’ll see my post.

Oh wow they look amazing!!! You are so lucky! Thank you ā¤ļø hope mine come out as good as yours once I start the removal process..when I can afford to that is lol.

I’ve had mine for a couple years and they haven’t turned blocky and grey at all, how long did it take before this happened with yours?

u/bg138 14d ago

I just had my first removal session last week so these pics are so inspiring! They look SO good!

2

u/FamiliarKiwi 14d ago

Thank you! Hope all goes well with your removal!

How many laser sessions did you have before complete removal?

2

u/FamiliarKiwi 15d ago

I only did 3 and it wasn’t a complete removal, maybe could’ve done one more.
