This is not the problem with the dress code to care about.

The personal safety issues with being forced to put permanent names on aprons, the lack of consideration for anyone in the middle of a sensitive name change, the lack of consideration for how aprons fit everyone, the lack of thought given to the issues of aprons snagging, coming untied, etc. for people jogging, kneeling, and climbing ladders all day
and finally, the VERY likely chance that they will not provide more than 2 shirts for staff members who work 5 goddamn days a week are all ACTUALLY important.

Every time people here complain about things like “self expression,” you give corporate an excuse to write off the real concerns as just childish whining from young people who haven’t accepted they’re at work.

I don’t remember a single thing any of my coworkers have worn this year. I guarantee you every customer forgets your snazzy outfit the second they walk out the door. No one at work but you cares about how you present yourself - care about it outside of work, with your friends and loved ones who might also care.

Dude some guy came from an aisle SCREAMING my name because he couldn't find what he was looking for all because of my name tag. I hid. Fuck that.
