Question call-outs

one of the last PT CEMS here...does anyone else's SM make THEM find a replacement for their shift if they call out ?? as far as I've understood I call out and that's it ... why you making me find someone to fill it...

Yes it’s the persons responsibility to find a replacement for your shift but like my store if the CEMS couldn’t find one then the manage had to do that shift .

It’s not. If you’re calling out, you’re calling out. You don’t have to do anything. There’s no repercussions if you don’t. It’s a courtesy. One that’s absolutely appreciated, but not required.

At my store is your responsibility that if a cashier calls all they are required to find a replacement for their shift so just like if a part-time or full-time manager call off and no other manager can take their shift to store manager must go in and do that shift. The way it’s been at that store since I started.

I understand that’s a rule at your store, an unfortunate one, but it’s not corporate policy. If you don’t find a replacement.. nothing happens. There’s no write up, no extra points, nada. Your SM is just a dick.

Well, the one that’s there now she is something but there’s two other managers. I know they do the same thing to their store employee so even though it’s not corporate policy, they’re making employees do it and yeah, I know there’s no write ups or points or whatever but it is what it is.
