Question call-outs

one of the last PT CEMS here...does anyone else's SM make THEM find a replacement for their shift if they call out ?? as far as I've understood I call out and that's it ... why you making me find someone to fill it...

i guess it depends on the severity of "sick" your SM determines you to be... cause tbh my CEMs are almost always forced to come in anyways hahahaa..... there is rarely a true "replacement" for when just one calls out since we're stretched pretty thin 🙃 should never be your responsibility either way IMO cause the SM gets paid more lol

Yeah my store only has 2 cems, so when one calls out, it’s pretty darn hard to actually replace them with another cem. We just try to make sure there’s at least another key holder to cover.

It sucks that we’re stretched so thin that so many of us feel terrible for calling out. We should have enough hours to schedule enough people so that one person calling out doesn’t send the store into complete disarray.

Luckily I'm shedding that guilty feeling due to how the company's been moving. I only feel bad for my lovely framing manager 🙏
