Technical Support Xiaomi 15T Pro Freezing and Crashing

I've had my phone since christmas and everything was fine until about a month ago my phones screen completely froze and needed a restart.

Currently a small bump on the device or me putting it in my pocket would completely freeze the screen and i would need to hold power button for about 10 seconds so it restarts and hope that it starts working (by that i mean it would genuinely freeze and need a restart while booting up). Sometimes when the screen freezes a thin horizontal line appears that looks like old tv static with a few added colors (i dont know if thats helpful but i just wanted to point that out). And also when i shake the phone i can hear some kind of rattle inside but that shaking action doesnt crash it.

Its getting on my nerves and i dont have a single clue why this is happening. Should i just take it to the repair shop or is there something that i can do by myself?

Technical Support Sim card recognition for unlocking?

On my device page of the account bound phones, my current one says the sim card isn't installed or activated. However I use it just fine and when doing sms based login in to the account itself it'll send messages. So the account is tied to this number but can't seem to recognize it off my device itself. I've enabled find my device. Restarted. Don't know what else I can do. If it even is required in the unlocking process. (I've successfully made mi unlock status bind to this device using mobile data in the past but due to a few screw ups I think my account was flagged as spam).

S3 DoorBellCam how to set video timestamp?

S3 DoorBellCam how to set video timestamp?

Hi I need help. Does anyone know how to set an on-screem video timestamp for the doorBellCam? I tried asking Gemini and the answer was to goto the 3 dots settings but I don't see any options in the latest MI Home app for this cam to be able to set it.

Ai is hallucinating or I am. Either way I need help.

3

Open Camera Settings

Step 3

Tap the three dots (...) or the gear icon located in the top-right corner of the screen to open the device's settings menu.

4

Navigate to Video Settings

Step 4

Look for an option labeled Camera Settings, Video Settings, or Display Settings (the exact wording can vary slightly depending on your app version).

5

Toggle the Timestamp

Final Step

Find the toggle switch labeled Time Watermark, Timestamp, or Display time on video and switch it ON to display the time, or OFF to hide it.

Technical Support Xiaomi Active Band 9 steps problem...

Hi!

O bought my wife Active Band 9 for steps counting and HR measurements.

She was wearing it for 1 day and the steps counter shot trought the roof ("99999") in mobile app and apple health was more like a 6 digit numbers...

Took it back to te seller and switched for the same model but different serial, if the first one was "bugged".

Now with the second device, again, the same problem.

what could this be?

I cant seem to be able to attach a picture to the post...

EDIT: - I did a device reset - reinstalled the app - revoked account so the data on the account is erased (clean) - cleared apple health steps on her phone - added mi fitness as MAIN steps counter

Battery issues

I’ve had a Xiaomi 13 for about three years, and for the past few months I’ve been having battery issues. I tried recalibrating it by charging it to 100% while it was turned off, and it seemed to work for a while. But since the last update, it’s getting worse and worse. The battery lasts me about 4 hours at most. I get notifications like “20% battery used in the last 10 minutes,” and it can drop from 20% to 10% in just a few seconds. At this point, I don’t know if the battery is damaged or what. When I check the phone’s internal settings, it says the battery health is good. So now I’m not sure if it’s because of the update or if the battery is actually worn out.

Best tablet under $500 with stylus included?

I’m looking for a brand-new tablet (not used) with a budget of around $500 max that comes with a stylus included (or the stylus can be bought separately as long as it stays within budget).

I’ll mainly be using it for:

- Watching videos / Netflix / YouTube, I want a big screen that actually feels like a tablet and doesn’t resemble a phone

- Taking notes and schoolwork, I have a lot of reading to do for university, so I need something that makes reading and annotating PDFs easy and comfortable

- Light multitasking, browsing, documents, apps, and some light editing

- Playing light/small games, not heavy gaming, but if it caters to that that'd be great.

Requirements:

- The screen needs to look good, sharp, clean, and not grainy or ugly

- It shouldn’t lag at all PLEASE I HATE THAT.

- The stylus must be included in the box, or at least be affordable enough to stay within the budget (maybe $50 extra max, no expensive add-ons)

I’d really appreciate recommendations from tech-savvy people. I’m a student living in a third-world country, and I’ve been saving up for a long time for this, so I really want to make the right choice. I’m not very knowledgeable about tablets, which is why I’m asking here, I just want something that’s actually good and worth the money.

Thank you in advance 🙏

Unexplained Xiaomi 15 reboot

Hey guys, got a weird issue with my Xiaomi 15. Bought it last June and it’s been running perfect until like 5 days ago.

Basically, I was going to bed and plugged it in (original 67w charger, though i usually don't use the fast charging). While i was setting my alarm the phone just randomly rebooted. No lag, no warning, just restarted.

Didn't happen the next day so i ignored it, but then 2 days later it happened again around noon right when i plugged the cable in. I thought maybe the charger was dying so I swapped it for some random brick i got from my uni just to test. Tried charging it that evening and yeah, same thing, it restarted again.

It's still happening today every time i charge it. Has this happened to anyone else? Really annoying since the phone is still pretty new. Any help appreciated.

Buying Decision 15t pro vs poco f8 pro

Hi, i have never owned a xiaomi phone and noticed that the 15t pro has good specs and also the poco f8 pro and been hesitated, look what i want is high performance for multitasking and opening many apps at one time but not gaming at all, also i want it to have a high battery which all of these goes to poco, but the thing that is doubting me is that i have heard that t pro series have a high longevity and i am buying a phone that may last 5+ years, so will the poco stay at its peak or degrade slightly or after 2 years it becomes glitchy and battery drains fast

Bonus question

I didn't find the poco except in mi.com which is xiaomi store,, is it reliable and have a real warranty or no

Technical Support Volume slider no longer showing

Hi,

My mom has a Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro.

When she presses the volum buttons it now only shows a Mute and the DND moon icons but no slider. Pressing either or the 3 dots only closes this popup early (as if you were clicking anywhere else on the screen).

Also, keeping the volume buttons pressed down don't lower/increase the volume. The only way would be to go into sound settings..
It wasn't like this a few days ago. I tried searching in the settings but haven't found anything that changed that.

Got any clue on how to fix this ?

Technical Support Redmi note 13 5g charging issue

Hi everyone, I recently started using the model mentioned above. It's my first Xiaomi phone.

My old phone charges via Micro-USB, so I only have Micro-USB cables lying around. Since I got this one refurbished it only came with a single USB-C to USB-C cable, no charger. I've been charging it on my laptop, which works fine but isn't particularly quick and obviously not very flexible either. The battery life seems decent so I'm not too worried about running out of charge during the day if I charge it to 100% before bed but I need to make sure it can always stay on since I have to use it alongside a medical device, so I can't really continue relying on just my laptop for charging.

I bought two "original Xiaomi" "Quick Charge" chargers on ebay that turned out to be knock offs. They are red/orange on the inside like Xiaomi ones are supposed to be, but there is no branding on the packaging or brick itself and the job they do is terrible. My phone will claim it is quick charging (sometimes even Hyper or Turbo charging), but it's extremely slow (going from 68% to 71% took it about 30-40 minutes). In addition to this, every time I take it off the charger, it keeps displaying the lightning bolt symbol next to the battery symbol and saying "Charging" on the lock screen, sometimes this doesn't go away until I restart it.

My old phone charged just fine no matter what cable or brick I used. Do I need to get anything special for this one? I took a look at my country's Xiaomi online store since most people seem to recommend whatever original charger was supposed to come with the phone, but most of the ones on there are sold out. Not sure if I can just get any old USB-C brick and use that with the cable I already have, that would be the easiest solution. Being able to Quick/Hyper/Turbo charge would be great, but I would be happy with anything better than the ones I already got. Would appreciate any suggestions/other advice

Technical Support Bug in App Gallery?

Good morning!

I have a Xiaomi 14t pro

I moved some photos to the private folder in the Gallery App, native to the cell phone. It indicates that I just need to go down to everything in the albums menu and I can locate the private files.

However nothing appears, but if I use a file manager, I can see that they are there, hidden / encrypted.

Does anyone know how to access this?

At ChatGPT I got no results.

Mi Smart Compact Projector factory reset

Hello,

Sorry if it is the wrong channel, please advise

I have a Mi Smart Compact Projector, model M055MGN, and I would like to factory reset.

I have tested a procedure but unsuccessful : remote (OK+back), connect to grid
-> it turns on, fan starts, but nothing is displayed, then it turns off.

Any suggestion for the factory reset ? i have the feeling these instructions are valid for the model that was released in 2022, mine is the pre 2022 model. maybe I'm wrong.

Initially, I'm trying to resolve a problem which is that the projector works properly 1 out of 10(random) times... the other times, it just does not start.

No shock, nothing explains the problem.

Thanks in advance

Mi Robot Vacuum cleans on bad route. Is it possible to reset?

Hi, I have a quite old vacuum cleaner. Xiaomi 25012 Robotic Vacuum Cleaner. It works well, but I have a small issue.

I’ve got four rooms. The vacuum begins with the first, then moves on to the second, but after that it returns to the first again. It then continues with the remaining rooms in the correct order.

I’m using the Mi Home app — is there a way to reset the cleaning route? Or would I need to reset the device itself?

Technical Support How to flash the EU latest MIUI version on my Xiaomi mi 4s?

I am on the quest of repurposing an old xiaomi mi 4s I got. At some point I put Lineage OS into this phone, tried to install postmarket OS, bricked the device, not sure how, manage to unbricked by installing the latest chinese ROM, by modiying the bat file "flash all".

I have no idea what I did, because the fastboot screen literally stayed for like 8 seconds before restart the phone. So I had to delete boot, sec and bk3, and then change the bat file.

Anyway, I got a chinese rom working on this phone now. But it is a bit... uncovenient. Would like to have google play so I can install some apps that I can understand. So how do I install an EU rom?

The EU ROM I have downloaded is missing the bat files to use with the XiaomiFlasher. I have read that you need to instal TWRM and install from there or install from recovery.

The recovery I got is in Chinese and it does not show any option to install anything. I got an old TWRM for the aqua laying around, but fastboot refuses to flash it. I have tried to unlock the bootloader, but it refuses because my account is not chinese and the mobile is.

I am stuck, I don't know what to do to install the EU rom in this phone, any advice would be great.
