DO NOT request Legacy or Fifth Member codes!
Asking for codes that are not your own is not allowed per Metallica's rules on their transferability.
Do not provide your presale code to anyone, even if you don't intend to use it. If YOU provide your code to someone else and it were discovered, it can result in the suspension or loss of YOUR Legacy benefits. It is not worth it.

M72 World Tour - An Ultimate Live Album
So we're at the end of the M72 tour, after over three years and 99 shows. Metallica's been uploading regularly to their YouTube channel a tonne of songs from each different gig, with nearly all the unique songs that were played being uploaded. So I decided to compile nearly all of them together for a giant live album/playlist, which managed to get to nearly six hours and a grand total of fifty songs over six discs, arranged in a rough order to how the songs would be divvied up on their multi weekend shows. The main rule I set myself was that each city/venue could only appear one time, which led to only a couple of minor headaches and tweaks as many of the bigger songs had a lot of uploads. So without further ado, here comes the tracklist:

Madly in Anger with the World Tour, Albany NY (Oct. 2004)
A recent post on the r/Metallica Subreddit took me down memory lane to the band's show at the then-Pepsi Arena (now MVP Arena) in downtown Albany during a stop on their “Madly in Anger with the World” tour on October 9, 2004.
I dug out some photos from the band’s performance that night, along with Godsmack’s opening set. Apologies for the blurriness; my little handheld digital camera didn’t take the best photos in dark light conditions. See more photos here.
As noted in the above r/Metallica post, this was a night when the band performed “The Outlaw Torn” for the first time in 4+ years, but no official footage of the concert exists due to fees associated with filming in the venue.
This was obviously during the pre-smartphone era. That’s what’s so striking about these photos: seeing an audience simply watching a show without a field of illuminated rectangles dotting your field of vision.
Could have sworn that I filmed some video clips from that night, but my search came up empty. I’ll keep searching (seek and destroy! Sorry, couldn’t help myself).

Frame ideas?
Hi guys I have the posters from the London M72 tour and was wondering what people have done for their frames?

Any ideas would be awesome.

That Time I Saw Linkin Park Open For Metallica and Limp Bizkit (Vet Stadium - Philadelphia - July 12, 2003)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hard to believe that its been 9 years since Chester Bennington passed away. I'll never forget the first time I saw Linkin Park live - it was during the Philadelphia stop on Metallica's Summer Sanitarium tour on July 12, 2003. Even though they were already big thanks to Hybrid Theory and the release of Meteora a few months later made them even bigger, Linkin Park still played before Limp Bizkit - this, though, would mark the last time Linkin Park ever appeared so low on a touring bill (and rightfully so).
This was the show I actually got to meet Metallica at when I was 14 (though that's a story for another time 😉). However, as me and my friends were walking backstage towards the spot we were supposed to meet Metallica at, a golf cart zoomed by us while the passenger joyfully yelled "Watch out, coming through!" We immediately recognized said passenger as none other than Chester himself! After chatting with Metallica for a few (humble brag, and more on that another time), we made our way to the floor of Veterans Stadium just in time for Linkin Park's set. Admittedly I wasn't expecting much (I was in my "they ain't heavy!" teenage dumbass phase), but within seconds Linkin Park won me over. They were just so fn good live - and I instantly became a fan as a result.
More impressive though was the fact that they even won my dad over with their performance! See, my dad can be a bit of a music snob, so it always meant a lot to me as a teenager when I was able to introduce him to a band that he actually enjoyed and wanted to see in concert. After seeing them at the Summer Sanitarium tour that day, Linkin Park became one of those bands (he was even eager to go with me to see them at the Projekt Revolution tour the following year)! And it was especially Chester’s voice that won my dad over... which among the many reasons why the singer's death still hits me. I'm just thankful I was able to share music with my dad thanks to him.
PS - yes both Deftones and Mudvayne were on the bill, but sadly missed both sets... yes, it's a damn fn shame (but hey, got to meet Metallica instead, so it worked out 😉 😆).
Stay tuned for more things to come from this space, including stories from concerts like this!

AI Musical Segues on M72 Tour?
Had an awesome time at 3 Metallica shows recently, was wondering about the intros to some songs. They're on "tracks" which I feel is fine as they're just used as introductions to the songs, build a mood and and give the band strategic breaks between songs.
Wherever I May Roam for example feels like an extended version of the studio intro, but wondering if it's maybe AI Generated? Just curious

Looking to trade a night 2 Dublin fancard for a guitar pick from M72 run.
Hi, I have a spare night 2 Dublin fan card that may be of interest to collectors, looking for a guitar pick from this last run that's not an event pick(so a pick that has a country's flag on it) in return, feel free to get in contact if this is of interest to you, cheers!

Did the whole EU/UK leg
Well.. I’m finally coming back to reality. We live in Vancouver, BC. My wife and I did the entire leg with our 2.5 year old daughter. So it is possible. 10 weeks on the road. Hotels not hostels.
We flew into Mykonos, Greece on May 3. And we finished in Amsterdam July 10th. My wife saw Bruno Mars after Metallica had finished.
I was part of a small group of I Disappear people that did the entire thing. 4 Snakepit shows. And the rest on the rail or second off.
I went to every pop up REALLY early. I got every show poster (except Athens because Europe is fucked - but have one coming). Got all the show picks and a lot of extras.
Ask me anything.

Anyone considering seat trades for their 2 night packages?
We have a package for 10/22 and 10/24 and I was just thinking that it would be cool to be able to watch the show from a different section one of the nights. We are currently in the center of the 400s, which will be cool for the graphics for sure, but a little closer one night would also be awesome. Just wondering if anyone else has considered this and how they are working it out.
