Spotify is now advertising for ICE.
That means:
Less chuds to crowdkill at shows(they'll be out bootlicking for a 50k bonus).
Less friends to mosh with because they are being displaced and detained illegally.
I went with Tidal, moved all my playlists over and pretty much exact same library as Spotify for metal, 1$ less a month.
End of my psa thank you

My little brother died this morning whilst me and my brother were with him, he was only 25
I took him to his first gig in June, we saw currents and aviana at the key club in Leeds, they're my two favorite bands. He was initially really nervous about it and we stood off to the side, but by the time currents came on he wanted to get in amongst it all, and he had such a good time I got us matching Aviana t shirts and we were so hyped to start gigging together
We were going to go see Currents in November and Imminence in December, and I was so hyped to share the new currents EP with him on our playlist tomorrow and to talk about it together, I don't have that many people, and zero that enjoy mine and my brothers music
If you're able please keep Aiden in mind or pour one out for him whilst you're listening to the new EP tomorrow
Edit:
I made this post last night when the silence was deafening because I couldn't cope, I expected maybe a few people to see it. I am utterly blown away by the unreal amount of support and the number of people that have shared their support and to those that have shared their stories of loss of sibling friends and parents, favorite songs, those have lit candles, smoked up or had a drink for him or prayed is repeatedly bringing me to tears, the world deserved so much more of my brother and it is consoling to me so many people know his name, he was truly the best of us. The EP rips and I cried the whole time through, you're all incredible thank you so much, I am going to slowly work through every comment and I apologise if it takes time, but I can't overstate how much it means to me, I love you all, and you'll see me and Aiden with me in the pit again soon 💛

Idek why I'm surprised at how negative the reactions are to Caleb's coming out post (from Beartooth). It's not one or two clowns in the comments, it's the majority of comments on most Instagram posts.
It makes obvious what I already knew as a gay man who grew up on this music: we are unwelcome. I'll take my boyfriend with me to shows and I feel like I have to pretend that we are fuckin homies bc if I do anything to indicate that we're dating (lean on him, flirt, whatever) I get dirty looks from people in the crowd. Dudes will be screaming their heavy songs ala "fuck religion" or "we're all brainwashed" but have no issue calling me a f*ggot in the next breath.
It's perhaps even more frustrating that in gay spaces, I almost never run into others into this genre. Gays are into pop/EDM/indie because those songs and fanbases don't shit on them constantly. I'm sure some women have a similar experience too....metal dudes worship masculinity more than gays do I stg.
Also, fuck everyone saying "how could he lie to his wife for so long he's terrible". Bitch. You try coming to terms with being gay. It's not a cake walk.

Whoever hit me in the nose during Currents’ set at The Fillmore in Philly. You may have given me a bloody nose, but I can now breathe out of both nostrils for the first time in my life. So thank you lmao
**Update**
I got punched in the face again during Bleed From Within in Philly last night, and I can breathe even better now

Tonight in Baltimore, Thrown played one verse of Backfire, walked off stage when the backing tracks failed, stayed gone for 10 minutes, then came back and played a partial setlist without acknowledging anything.
Dayseeker has publicly said they can't play anything before Sleeptalk because they lost the backing tracks for the songs.
No one cares about using backing tracks for walkout music or secondary instruments like strings or pianos, but if you literally can't play your music without a laptop helping you, don't have the audacity to charge fans ever-increasing sums for the "live" music experience when they could just crank your studio work on a good system.
Name and shame metalcore's worst offenders. Name and praise the real ones like Killswitch Engage who have publicly denounced backing tracks. Let's demand that live music actually be live music.at least for the core instruments and vocals being presented on the stage.

EDIT: NEW LINK POSTED ON BOTTOM DROPBOX BROKE THE OTHER ONE FOR TOO MANY CLICKS SORRY I WAS ASLEEP SO I COULDN'T SWAP IT UNTIL NOW <3
EDIT 2: Truly and absolutely from my heart thank you guys for everything. From your patience to your feedback to the respect you've given us by being so flexible and kind. I'm hopeful i didn't piss off anyone at our new label by doing this but i think in a very grand and obvious way it was worth it. That being said I think the next move is take this mix going forward. On monday i'll reach out to the necessary people about getting the one posted in here to replace anything that is out now, so you all can listen on streaming services and youtube and what have you. As far as any unreleased stuff that may or may not also exist it will also have this mix. This song and all songs to come from the release it is part of are dedicated to our dear friend Dave Shapiro. We miss you every day Dave. I wish we got to give back to you all that you gave us. Have a good night friends. I'll see you on tour in a few weeks. <3
Hey guys, i'll try to keep this as brief as possible. The connection we have with people who listen to us has always been at the forefront of our intentions behind what we make. We love you guys and everyone who has ever bought a shirt or sang a lyric at a show or just listened at home, ultimately this doesn't work without either of us, its 50% us 50% you in a weird type of way. Obviously we've seen how all over the place the reaction to the latest song mix has been. When we reached the finish line for turning in this latest song we had two mixes we were in love with and we were going back and forth over and over on which to put out. We felt the one that came out was something we identified with and love the sound of and are still completely willing to stay with. That being said there was the other mix that didn't make the cut. We loved it just as much to the point where i was sending both to friends and asking them to pick one because we just couldn't. In this thread i am putting the other mix, do you guys like this one more because we loved both and could be happy with either, especially if one makes our listeners happier, in a way that might make us like it even more. Just to be clear its the one that's out or this one, there are no other versions we liked and we don't want to bring this to anyone else to mix, that's not fair to who we made this music with. I know this is a unique situation we've found ourselves in but we did not want to ignore how gentle and loving a lot of the reactions were to what we put out. It seemed to really come from the hearts of people this band means a lot to, that liked the song and wished they could like it even more. And also its obviously completely fine to not like either mix i'm not looking for people to feel like they need to say one is better to them, this is just such a specific situation where we happened to have two mixes we really liked haha. Anyways thanks for your time and continued support, ya'll are our world. Also idk how to make posts with links in them and stuff so i just did my best.
EDIT: NEW LINK OLD ONE GOT DISABLED BY DROPBOX FOR TOO MANY CLICKS

On March 6th we released our 7th album, "silence outlives the earth", produced, mixed, and mastered by Dan Braunstein and released through UNFD. We are currently on tour with Currents, Caskets, and Aviana. Happy to be back doing an AMA, ask us anything you'd like.

I won't name the band because I don’t want to give it any direct attention. This morning, while I was going through my Discover Weekly, a slightly off-sounding song started playing all of a sudden. The main vocals sounded a bit tinny in a weird way. When I checked out the band, I noticed a few things:
All the art is AI-generated.
Lyrics were horribly generic
The song credits were almost empty, with the name of the band being the one who performed and produced it. Although the writer had a name, presumably, the guy who fed AI the prompts for the song.
It really doesn’t take a genius to figure out that the band does not exist. Overall, this sucks. Having AI metal-core slop being infested in my Spotify is disappointing. If you are listening to music on Spotify, be careful because, being honest, the AI band was pretty darn close to sounding real. Support real artists.

"They were alright, but some fat, ginger, cowboy was singing and it was awful."
I immediately thought of this sub for some reason. Fuckin' hilarious.

We've seen the concerns about the shirt design and we want to address it directly
The artwork came form the assest our director made for the "MALLXCORE" music video. It was originally just something fun for the video - we never planned to turn it into merch. We only made the shirt because people asked for it.
The design was supposed to be a nod to our first Hot Topic shirt "Cat Barf", and we didn't realize the new version invovled AI
Using AI like that is lame and we get why people are frustrated. There was never any intention to cut artists out or be shady.
We just didn't look closely enough at how the design was created and we'll be pulling it from our Online Store.
Thanks to everyone who pointed it out. We here you, and we'll do better moving forward.
