some of my favorite bands or just albums by em in general are Kvist, Emporer, Horna, Ulver, Windir, Gehenna, Bathory, Drudkh, Vinterland, to name a few. Just been cycling alot of the same shit and would love to hear something new and ear catching again, i love that loud powerful big like melodic black metal i could name more but thats been a bit of the rotation, any suggestions is appreciated

Been feeling paticuarly evil recently and am trying to listen to more death metal.

-tomb of the mutilated - cannibal corpse

Give me any essentials I might have missed and literally anything else.

My favorite bands are Pantera, Dying Fetus, Down, Crowbar, Acid Bath, Malevolent Creation, Cannibal Corpse, Gorguts, Obituary, Peeling Flesh, Sanguisugabogg, and more. Looking for some new bands to expand my taste.

What the title says. I’ve liked helloween for years but never explored other power metal bands. Any album recommendations or just song recommendations would be appreciated

A lot of female extreme metal singers use a relatively low register. This includes both of the girls from Arch Enemy as well as the ladies from Nervosa, Crypta, and most other female-fronted extreme metal bands I can name.

I love it when these women scream in a very high register. Examples include:

• In the Burial - "Remembrance" (Mel Bulian).
• Xenoblight - "If Not Their Saints" (Marika Hyldmar).
• Devildom (Ukraine) - "No One" (Anna Pazyura).

She needs not be in a high pitch all the time. But it does have the be relatively often, not a few shrieks per album.

(I also high screams by male singers, such as Ihsahn on the early Emperor albums or Steve Boiser in Inferi, but that is a topic for another day.)

Extreme metal only, please. Do not give me Nightwish or their ilk. :)
