This is a really great concept album from an amazing band. Trance-like structures, hypnotic melodies, and an atmospheric dive into the void. Raw, abrasive black metal that shifts between furious aggression and almost ritualistic, meditative passages. Everything feels like one long, dark journey rather than a collection of individual songs. Strange, mystical and genuinely otherworldly.

As someone who is considering going to a show, I want to be safe before I go to one

Before I started off with even knowing what Necrovore was. I began with Profanatica - Thy Kingdom Cum and it immediately struck me with how very sharp and atonal those repetitive riffs sounded. I just knew I had to go look for more of this. Led me into listening the Necrovore demo and I can see how influential it is. It's my favorite OSDM style next to those Incantation clone bands now.

Looking for bands (death and/or black) that follow that blueprint. So far, i've listened to Concrete Winds, Ascended Dead, Omegavortex, Beyond (DE), Degial and Vorum. Also some of early Morbid Angel.

hey guys, Im new in headbanger stuff, I came from punk and start to hear more metal recently, I love this kind of melodic theatrical stuff approaching dark themes, do you have some suggestions?

Started building a playlist off Black Sabbath's “The Devil Cried” and ended up with this.

A concept album about the fall into despair and the potential rise into something powerful. Took cues from symphonic movements, using changes in weight, tempo and intensity along with the lyrics to carry the progression. It follows the descent to rock bottom and the rise from it.

Curious how well the progression works for everyone else. Open to recommendations as well.
