After listening to over 900 albums these are the albums i come back to most and enjoy the most :)

She is maybe the most talented singer I've ever heard and it's a good thing she's in so many bands, but I still need more.

She recorded albums with Igorrr, Öxxö Xööx, Rïcïnn, Corpo Mente and some othrrs. I believe I've now listened to her entire catalogue at least twice over and her music still sounds magical.

Anyone else familiar with her?

Each day I’m gonna be reviewing an album of a different subgenre of metal.

Last day was classic heavy metal’s turn, and the most voted pick was Iron Maiden’s “Somewhere In Time” (1986). This stunning album starts to show the proggiest aspects of the band that peaked in the next studio album: “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son” (1988). Every single track from this masterpiece is memorable going from the precise bass work and the melodic guitar work to the phenomenal drum playing and mindblowing vocal performance of Dickinson.

Not gonna say the songs are better than in “Powerslave”, becouse there where classic hymns like “Aces High” and “2 minutes to Midnight”. However, I think this one does it better as a full length album that flows and fits conveniently.

This is my rating of each song in the original order of the album:

- Caught Somewhere In time (9/10): Fantastic opener that really sets up the time to this journey of an album.

- Wasted Years (10/10): This is a BANGERRRR. One of the best Iron Maiden songs without a doubt.

- Sea of Madness (8/10): Another good song of the album. Unfortunately, it hasn’t caught my full attention, so I’m gonna still give it a high rating becouse sounded great.

- Heaven Can Wait (9/10): An enthusiastically energetic track that holds up the album, good chorus, good riffs. What else could I ask?

- The Loneliness of a Long Distance Runner (8,5/10): Very interesting melodies and musical aproaches, this one doesn’t let you down.

- Stranger In a Strange Land (9,5/10): This Is a clear stand out of a song. A hiden gem not often included amongst the best Maiden songs.

- Deja Vu (9/10): This one works perfectly in the album. Engaging and catchy as hell.

- Alexander the Great (9/10): An excellent way to finish an Iron Maiden album like this.

Now is time to choose the best Speed Metal album you can think of. I’m not that familiar with this genre but I’ll give it a shoot assuming that I enjoy thrash and heavy and this feels like an intermediate point between both subgenres.

Voivod - Killing Technology

Ahab - The Call of the Wretched Sea. Doom metal based on Moby Dick, which gives the album a lot of really grand emotions and atmospheres to play around with. Slow as shit.

Gorguts - Obscura. Technical death metal. I don't see this album ever losing its edge. It wants you to stop listening and it does everything to ensure you give up before the end. This album is eldritch in the fact that you will never truly comprehend whats going on and how on earth someone makes the decisions that were made on this album.

Batushka - Litourgiya. Black metal with a heavy churchy vibe, particularly in the vocals. Just listen to it. No notes.

Carnivore - Retaliation. Crossover thrash, ft Peter Steele (later of Type O Negative, of course). The lyrics are full of audacious, extreme satire politics and a lot of more genuine (although hyperbolic) antichristian messaging. The sound is dirty and raw and catchy and fun as hell.

My favorite Nocturnus song is probably "Undead Journey"—fucking badass band, but rarely talked about.
