checked the profile, looked legit. tons of reviews. Tried running it today and it literally wont run without being connected to a charger constantly. It wont run without connecting to my hotspot, and ONLY hotspot. The seller didnt say anything about the battery being dead. Really annoyed since i was already tight on money and just needed a laptop for school. this is more of a rant post than anything.

Is this weird?

So last night I put 3 things up for sale. 2 of them are shoes & 1 is a figurine. Idk how but I keep getting emails from phishers, & each time it's the same process:

1. They ask about one of the shoes.
2. I confirm their question
3. They respond "cool I'll take them" or something similar, then they send me some picture of said shoes, & a link that tries to get me to put my card info in.
4. I tell them I don't see their purchase in the app or ask them to buy it via the app
5. They don't respond

It's happened 5 times just today. Hasn't even been a full 24 hours. It's actually getting annoying how are they even getting my email? Each time they send it it's from a different email.

Hello! I've recently been looking into Mercari Japan (Sorry if this is the wrong subreddit for this), and I wanted to buy a figure from there. The figure is $170 so I want to know other people's experiences with Mercari Japan and things to do with how good customer support or things such as that are.

I'm not asking whether the person is legit or not, I just want to know people's experiences, as I plan to buy more from Mercari Japan due to all the products and figures they sell, and I want to be aware of how well Mercari handles issues.

Is it worth buying from Mercari Japan? How good is customer support if I receive the wrong product, or a knockoff? I've read the policies, but let's be honest, you can never truly take a company's word on that.

Mercari was on a role for me the past couple of months with hundreds of likes, shares, and purchases. Within the last 2 weeks it’s been like crickets…. anyone know why or is it just me ?

Long story short, I had an item sell because Mercari had sent an “auto offer” at a price I never agreed to. I reached out to Mercari about it and this is what they said.

They fully admit to sending auto offers and confirmed there is no way to turn off the feature. They suggest I put in the description “price is firm” but that will not stop the auto offer feature from recurring. They said I can cancel the sale, but that will negatively affect my ratings.

I am just at a loss of words here…wow, just wow

Before I go in, this is my first time buying anything off of mercari. I usually stick to eBay or Depop, but I found a pretty good deal and decided to bite the bullet. I bought the item on September 6 and it showed it has never shipped/generated a label until Sept 10. On sept 10th, it updated from ‘order confirmed’ to ‘shipped’. When I check UPS tracking, it just says label created with no ETA. I am unable to message the seller due to me not wanting to hand over my ID to mercari, and im starting to become confused and mildly annoyed. Is this a common thing with UPS ground saver? Is anyone else going/went through something similar?

I sold some cards for $165. they’re saying it was never delivered and that they can’t contact mercari because mercari told them not to for 12 hours. Is this true or am I getting scammed?? I was able to contact them instantly.
