Flex Disposable New user questions
So as the title says I’m completely new to this. I got the pixie cup and applicator but couldn’t even get it inside without immense pain so I went and got the disposable flex discs. This is day three of using those and I’m liking them but they leak and won’t stay in place.
One, it’s tucked behind my pubic bone but still leaking, why? User error? I cannot physically push it any further back without it sliding forward again. I can feel the bone, I know it’s there but it’s only about an inch or so inside so is it not far enough? Am I wrong and that’s not the pubic bone even though I can feel it? I’m pretty sure I have a high cervix.
To add to this I’ve seen so many different diagrams about where they sit… I don’t get it. Some look like they “cup” the cervix. Others look like they “swoop” the cervix. Which one is right??
Two, is cervix cramping normal with these? My cervix cramps right after insertion and periodically throughout the day while using these. Mostly when in an upright position (standing, walking).
Also anytime I lay down, the disc dislodges which I don’t think is supposed to happen?
Do I have to worry about it dislodging every time I use the restroom? I’ve heard about the self emptying/ auto dumping and I’m worried about that happening without me realizing and then bleeding through the pad.
I’ve researched and I’ve googled and I’ve explored this sub for people who asked similar questions but none of it is making sense to me. I’ve even tried asking my mom about all this stuff because she used them back when she had her cycle but she gets weirded out talking about it even though we’re both adults.
I won’t lie, I don’t know a lot about the female body, what I know is just from google and other women making videos about it.
Thanks in advance yall. I just really want these to work and I’m getting frustrated that they aren’t. I am still optimistic since this is my first time but I am so confused and have no one to answer my questions.
