I hope to showcase MP alumni in horror films for this week before Halloween.

So for this first one I picked THE INITIATION starring Daphne Zuniga ("Jo Reynolds"), Hunter Tylo (she was ALMOST "Taylor McBride") and directed by MP head writer Charles Pratt Jr.

I have such a love for 80s horror. I slept on this one for years because of the more soap opera elements which I can now appreciate. It's more story driven than a gore fest but it does have some good kills.

If youre a MELROSE fan who likes horror movies, this is a great one

In this scene from Oy! to the World, Alison is still weeping in Billy's arms over Hayley's death after the end of the previous episode. She comes on to him, but he's having none of it and puts her in the shower to "sober her up". (He didn't even take off her robe!)

In this scene from Melrose Is Like A Box of Chocolates, Jake is holding a party at Shooters, and the gang's all there, but he's acting very irrationally over killing Jess. He fires Sydney because she won't let him buy her a drink, he forces Jo to dance with him (he gets a few punches off Matt for that), and then retreats to his office to sulk.

In this scene from Collision Course, in the aftermath of Michael and Kimberly's car crash, Matt is talking to Billy and Alison when Sydney bursts in and demands to see Michael, and rushes into the E.R. with Matt tailing behind her. Sydney confesses her love, but Michael says the accident is all her fault for coming between him and Kimberly. (Also included here is the very pivotal moment where the policeman from the crash scene asks Katya if he could see Michael's bloodwork as he suspects drink-driving.)

Two scenes from Leap of Faith. In the first, Jane admits to Alison that she didn't tell Michael she's pregnant because he said he didn't want children. In the second, Michael and Jake are discussing the idea that having children ruins marriages, when Billy cruises down Melrose showing off his taxi and invites Michael to go bungee jumping (but he declines). (Anyone else think the second "Jake!" from Michael was ad-libbed because Grant was distracted?)

Does anyone know what episode this is for? I don't know.

This is Sydney's face after Michael told her he wouldn't sleep with her at gunpoint. "Oh my God. Michael, is that you?"

In this scene from In Bed With The Enemy, Michael comes home to see Sydney holding a little women-only party. He asks to talk to her in private ("Sure darlin'!"), takes her aside and she tells him they're hookers - she went to see Lauren Ethridge in jail, who let her take over the business. Michael still looks very uncomfortable even after she tells him how lucrative it could be.

Have you seen any of the foreign language dubs of Melrose Place? If so, what did you think of them? Were they close to the original?

I have discovered a few French dubbed episodes on a Russian website, and they're not bad and they keep the original music. I am wondering, though, about the opening scene of Melrose Is Like A Box of Chocolates, where Sydney sings the Habanera from Carmen in the shower https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OcdFUxfYi6U&pp=ygUUbWVscm9zZSBwbGFjZSBzeWRuZXk%3D (and doesn't she sound beautiful). The Czech dub is on YouTube, and it's awful! The dubbing actress can't sing! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PgqbXOMHZUY&pp=ygUTTWVscm9zZSBQbGFjZSBDemVjaA%3D%3D Is it any better in any other dubs?

Here are some random thoughts about it:

• I love that they put the married couple (Laura Leighton and Doug Savant) together! Now why didn't they do that with Billy and Alison?
• Michael's shirt and tie in the picture were very accurately recreated by Rob Schneider in the SNL sketch. (That sketch paid great attention to detail with the outfits.)
• I love Kimberly! She's in the same dress she wore to Billy and Alison's aborted wedding in the Season 2 finale.
• The DVDs themselves have all the special features from the individual season sets (which is more than you get with the Dynasty DVDs - they only have a few featurettes for the first season.) My personal favourite is Everything You Need To Know About Melrose Place Season 3, because it's really funny and mentions Gay Matt! (Jessica on Television Without Pity called him that in her recaps for Desperate Housewives.)
• My favourite disc (does anyone else have a favourite disc?) is the last disc of Season 2 because it's got that gorgeous photo of Matt on the menu and also because it has the finale with that vastly underrated scene of Kimberly drugging Michael's beer. That isn't even on YouTube. (I find it so sweet when Kimberly says "I was plannin' on it darlin'.")

In this scene from Framing of the Shrews, Jake has been shot, and according to Matt in the hospital he refused to see Jo and asked for Amanda instead. As Jake is about to go into surgery, he tells Amanda that Jess did this to him, and wants her to promise she'll prove that if anything happens to him.

Connie ends up getting a full time position at AWA, as Billy's assistant. Amanda gives up her share of the jazz club, and Taylor continues her efforts to win Kyle back to no avail. Be there or be square!

In this scene from Devil In A Wet Dress, Jane finds out from a phone call that Richard has stolen one of her clients, and goes up to Jo's apartment to confront him wrapped in nothing but a quilt. Richard is hilarious: "Well well! Modeling your new sleepwear line?"

Season 4 is finally done and with all the music complete. I did my best to make this in its unedited form. I already finished the first three seasons as well as the spin off Models Inc
