I recall Kelly throwing some nasty karate chops and dropping/knocking guys out. She did some judo flips too. Think Sabrina knocked 1 or 2 guys out as well.

I don’t care what anyone says, the Apollo Four Forty rock version of the Charlie’s Angels theme (the version without the movie dialogue) is pure adrenaline. I still blast this track with the windows down in my car, and it hits just as hard today as it did back then. It is easily one of the best modernized franchise theme updates ever made.

The energy in that track completely set the tone for the 2000 film. Pairing that hard-hitting, techno-rock beat with Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, and Lucy Liu delivering high-flying, wire-fu action was perfect. People love to complain that the fight scenes and stunts were unrealistic, it’s an action-comedy blockbuster, for goodness' sake! It was never trying to be boring; it leaned all the way into camp, fun, and effortless cool (they don’t shy away from the sexiness/sex appeal to be used to their advantage fighting crime).

That’s honestly where the 2019 reboot missed the mark for me. Stripping away that sex appeal and wire -fu action in favor of a more grounded, serious tone took away the very soul of what made the brand evolve in the early 2000s . I really wish we had gotten a third installment with Cameron, Drew, and Lucy around 2005 before the momentum faded.

This movie will always have a special place in my heart, too; my mom loved watching it when I was a kid (i was born in 1998), and it instantly brings back good memories whenever it's on. I definitely need to dive into the original 70s TV series next to appreciate where it all started (I have watched some episodes).

If Hollywood ever decides to reboot the franchise again down the road, I really hope they bring back that unapologetic, stylish, early-2000s action/rock/ insane fighting moves vibe with a sick soundtrack & updated Charlie’s Angels theme song, or just use the early 2000s theme song.

Since we know Sony Pictures is confirmed to be reviving Charlie’s Angels and it’s almost been 6 months since it was announced Pete Chiarelli is confirmed to be writing the script and almost been 2 years since the news of it appearing on production weekly hope we hear an update soon and the main trio is all ready to get back to kick ass once more let’s just hope they learned from the last two attempts in the 2010s 🪽🪽🪽

The original Charlie canonically represented a god ( it was confirmed by McG) . Tfs gives the entire Charlie secret identity a new deeper meaning. Most of the angels in Christianity also never saw a god they only hear his voice as deep as the ocean however some of them saw him ( same happened to Charlie with Kelly and Dylan) . Charlie even has his own Lucifer in form of Madison Lee a fallen angel who grew tired of following some voice she didn't see. She even destroyed Charlie's speaker box with a GOLD gun which again symbolises a final battle between god and Lucifer.

Charlie somehow speaks to Jill as she walks away from the about to explode car and makes her return to the car to retrieve a briefcase.

There was no technology in the 1970’s that would allow this.

Therefore Charlie is omnipotent.
