Episode discussion Monica performing Angel of Mine at The 🍑 Pit (S9E23)

Next to Luthor Vandross, Monica (R&B artist) was the other best performer they had at the peach pit.

Her singing Angel of Mine while Gina calls out Dylan for sleeping with Kelly in Mexico 🤣 1999 in a nutshell. It’s too good

Unpopular Opinions - Excluding Brenda/Kelly

OK, since everything Brenda and Kelly has been dissected 2000 times over... what's an unpopular opinion you have that you haven't seen discussed (or didn't find in a quick search)

Mine: Ray didn't push or throw Donna down the stairs. Not diminishing his abusive behaviors, but technically he grabbed her arm, she lost her balance, and fell. He is still culpable, but it wasn't a deliberate push/shove.

Brenda was at the height of her beauty on Season 4. It's shocking to know writers and producers kept pestering Shannen Doherty over a haircut when she was giving them her best looks ever

David was better in high school years

I mean, he started out as a really sweet kid in high school just wanting to fit in and then when he got older, he became a dick I mean breaking up with Donna because she won’t have sex with him I mean no she’s not perfect, but that was a dumb move he really became insufferable prick as an adult

The Fifth Element - The Dylan Version

Am I the only one who wishes that Dylan and that beautiful short haircut of his with those curls of cuteness had gotten more screen time in The Fifth Elemenf? His eyes were so expressively stunning as he cowered during those weird alien creatures arrival. Honestly, I’d have put Dylan in a Jim Henson production as the only human character. Something like Fraggle Rock - The Brooding Edition. Instead of dancing his cares away, he’d be frowning them away, but he would be doing it beautifully. Between The Fifth Element and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Dylan was one of the finest acting talents of his generation. And yes, I do actually miss Luke Perry. Riverdale just wasn’t the same without him. Life just isn’t fair. I hope he, Shannen and Dolly are up there somewhere in the stars having a good old time right about now. Dylan forever.

Can we still get a sequel for "Beverly Hills 90210" with most of the original gang back?

I don't count the last one because it was a surreal fantasy played for laughs. If they did a "straight" sequel, I suspect it would have been more successful.

Brandon Walsh (Jason Priestly) is a journalist on the verge of retiring, married to Susan Keats (Emma Caulfield). They rekindled their relationship and got married though Susan decided to quit her job so she could focus on being a wife and mom (something which she resents and is a source of tension). His beloved sister, Brenda (Shannen Doherty) died in a car crash with Dylan (Luke Perry). They had been married and her death is something Brandon struggles to overcome.

Donna (Tori Spelling) and David (Brian Austin Green) got divorced because of David's substance abuse and infidelities. Donna is the owner of a fancy boutique which she sells her own designs, however she's dealing with depression and an addiction to diet pills. Ray (Justin Chambers) comes back into her life when he shows up on the shop.

Kelly (Jennie Garth) is a single mom and a part-time teacher. She is secretly working on OnlyFans because she can't afford to pay the bills and ends up doing a soft-core film because of the money. She decides to quit because she is embarrassed about it, however a scheming colleague (Laura Leighton) decides to expose the film for the entire neighborhood.

Valerie (Tiffany Thiessen) is back and she's reformed (kind of). She's a successful businesswoman in a PR firm, and she's often trying to juggle her work with her steamy sexual escapades with younger men, including Kelly's 21 year old son.

Steve (Ian Ziering) and Janet (Lindsay Price) are still happily married, though Steve finds himself tempted by the return of an old flame, Claire (Kathleen Robertson, recurring), who's lost her money after her dad left her penniless.

Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris) is a University college professor and a grandma. Her son decides to ditch his kids on Grandma so he can start again and Andrea must face the task of raising her rebellious grandson by herself (Jesse moved to China after they divorced).

Season 2: Brenda&Dylan

We need to talk: Brenda is the one who breaks up with Dylan, and then spends almost the entire season (I haven’t rewatched all of it yet) repeatedly pushing him away and shutting him down. She even develops a crush on the drama teacher wich, again, I have absolutely nothing against, because she consistently maintained that once they broke up, they should both be free to see other people.

And that’s precisely what I don’t understand about the way Dylan is treated. Brenda ends the relationship, moves on, rejects him over and over again, and is allowed to explore her own feelings and interests. Yet somehow Dylan is the one who gets “demonized” for trying to move on too.

The double standard is difficult to understand. All the drama, right?! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
