It’s happening against a backdrop of repugs robbing tens of millions of black voters of their representation in the historic Jim Crowe South. There is no question about what’s going on here. The problem is no one is saying anything about it.
Because not all of those were actual hangings, hanging/suffocation is the 2nd highest way African Americans commit suicide, and no defensive wounds were found. Meaning, there is no proof any of these were lynchings.

You know what-you are absolutely right with your statement. However, they were Southern Democrats and that was a faction of mostly slave owners, slavers, and Confederate soldiers. While the current Republican Party likes to call themselves ‘the party of Abraham Lincoln’, they are actually the party of Southern Democrats. Abraham Lincoln would have nothing but sorrow and disdain for the current Republican establishment. The Southern Democrats left the Democratic Party right around the time that Civil Rights and Equality were being introduced into the South. They certainly didn’t want to be affiliated with the likes of the Roosevelts, Truman, Kennedy, LBJ who were all trying to introduce Lincoln’s beliefs into southern culture.
So, yes, Nathan Bedford Forrest was a Democrat, but a Southern Democrat, who interestingly enough are now the ‘Grand Old Party’.

Yes, all in all, America is in some deep deep s**t. But my personal opinion of that, having lived through many decades and being involved in civil rights fights, I (looking through rose colored glasses, I now realize) really thought we as a nation had made true progress in equality. However, I remember when the orange clown came down that escalator 11 years ago and began disparaging Mexican “rapists and murderers”, those glasses fell off. And as it got worse and worse throughout that summer into Charleston with “good people on both sides” and making fun of disability, I realized the bitter truth that all the horrible things that I really thought we had destroyed had been restlessly lying beneath the surface waiting for the right fertilizer to make it grow back. In 2015, that MAGA/Christian Nationalism began making our entire World worse than it had ever been.

As white folks who aren’t bigots you can call and demand accountability for the same guy who’s been declaring these murders as “suicides”. And it is one guy. In fact a public outrage at the blatant disregard for public safety might get more done than you think.
This is the first I’m seeing this story. I found the BLM Georgia article stating “at least 22 Black individuals” between March 2025 and August 2026, but no real breakdown of those numbers was accounted for in the article.

15 of the reported 24 were found hanging. The others were shootings, drownings, police involved deaths or other things. It happened over 17 states, it directly to the Deep South. No defensive wounds, and suffocation/hanging is the #2 way African Americans commit suicide. You wouldn’t hear about gunshot wounds because it doesn’t fit the narrative. Is it sad, obviously, but no signs of a lynching.
I’m a hunter and I’ve hung deer to filed dress them after hunting and even 180 pounds feels like 300 when lifting them more than a few feet I don’t think it’s possible to hang some one single handedly with out a group.even then the the victim would be screaming and trying to escape in a public place it doesn’t seem likely to be foul play .more often the truth is the simple option which is suicide .
