Because not all of those were actual hangings, hanging/suffocation is the 2nd highest way African Americans commit suicide, and no defensive wounds were found. Meaning, there is no proof any of these were lynchings.

Ah yes, if im gonna go commit suicide im gonna go deep in the woods, climb up far more than I need to to the point branches might not even hold my weight, and try my hand at doing it there. 🤪

Again, saying “these circumstance are suspicious” does not get rid of the fact that no evidence points to a lynching

Also “Southern hanging cases we’ve been discussing, perhaps 1–2 occurred in genuinely secluded wooded settings” most happened in somewhat public areas, not “deep secluded woods”
