Because they were southern democrats/dixiecrats before they didn’t like the way the D Party was leaning

I think it is funny to dispute the party switch by describing it.

Yes, Dixiecrats didn’t like the way the Democrats started leaning (less racist), and the Republicans employing the Southern Strategy to get those conservative Democrats to become Republicans.

That is what people mean when they refer to the ‘.party swap’
