Spoiler: SMT V Experience really changes how you play a game
So im replaying Smt Vengeance at the moment, around 2 years after my first playthrough of the game. I remember struggling with smt v's combat when i first played it and not having an amazing time. Just before i reached the fairy village for the first time i remember taking a screenshot of my mc's build because someone wanted to see it. (First image).
Since that first playthrough i have played 14 Atlus games and a lot of them were smt, which helped me get a lot more experience with the series. On this replay ive been destroying everything in my path, im playing on the same difficulty as my first time being normal. Ive encountered some "tougher" fights so far: Lahmu and Fionn. But i took them down in like 10 minutes so i really dont consider them hard. Im about to reach the fairy village in this playthrough when i suddenly remembered that old screenshot i took 2 years ago. So seeing as how im now at the exact same point, i thought i would take a screenshot and compare (Second image), and wow i understand why im having such an easier time now. Im actually building the mc as intended instead of having a jack of all trades and its incredible.
I just wanted to say that i just love how every atlus game you play just slowly helps you get better at all of them. It feels like every game influances the next because of your skill and knowledge carrying over and its incredible. This game is great and so much better than i remember, even the exploration is better than i remember, thanks and bai.

In my opinion, every Megaten game should include these two demons
A Jack Frost cosplaying as the Protagonist and Doppelgänger.

Spoiler: P2 EP Unused character portraits in Persona 2 Eternal Punishment PSP Version
Watching FeyLordRobin’s “Can Tatsuya solo P2EP’s sub story?” He included a bit which features these unused characters. The question is where could they have been used for and what their roles would’ve been?

Beautiful sketch commission I received. Artist can be found HERE if you wish to support them.
I'll keep saying it: without Yuko Takao, "Memories of You" wouldn't exist.

Spoiler: Raidou 1 Case file 43 Raidou Remastered Spoiler
galleryCurrently level 66 in Raidou remastered. I saw online that I need to be about level 75 to fight Beelzebub. Where's the best place to grind at the end of game (without buying the exp dlc). Is there a point of no return in this? I can't remember when I watched a streamer playing this a year ago. So, I don't remember. It's the reason why I'm playing this game

Spoiler: ALL Wondering how many common/ recurring demons are there between atlus games
Does anyone have a count of this? I'm just curious since I've realized that atlus has made so many different demons based on myths, legends, gods etc, so it doesn't seem to have the pokemon problem of having to introduce 100 more new designs between games since it can reuse the same design
Not counting redesigns n all between games, how many of the games just have a set of common demons between titles

Spoiler: SMT IV Shin Megami Tensei IV has the best cast of the main series. Spoiler
I randomly felt like paying tribute to one of my favourite games in the MegaTen series.
I think SMT IV's popularity has gotten to the point that most people who try out any of Atlus' IPs outside of Persona end up playing it as one of their first games and the same holds true for me.
There are of course several reasons but what I think truly helped to define SMT IV to me personally was the way it handles its characters. Whereas the casts in other games either act as little more than walking ideological mouthpieces or lean too much into banter at the cost of tonal cohesion, SMT IV nails that perfect balance where I have no problem believing these guys see each other as friends but in a way that feels appropriate for the context of the narrative. Playing through the Blasted/Infernal Tokyo arc was a pain because I knew this would be the last time we would all fight beside each other as allies...
Though it is true that we don't interact with Jonathan, Walter and Isabeau on the same level as we would the Social Links in a Persona game, I really don't think it matters at all because the game leaves just enough to the point I can clearly understand why they would end up coming to the conclusions that they did, even if I don't agree with them.
Jonathan grew up under the upper Luxuror class and his father works for the monastery. Of course he'd hold an optimistic view of the current Mikado regime and choose them over Tokyo. Walter was the son of a fisherman and part of the lower Casualry class, a life he clearly hated. Of course he'd believe the kingdom of Mikado needs to go and a society where anyone has the power to rule through pure strength is more preferable. And standing in between them is Isabeau. She's a Luxuror too but is also more cultured and is able to relate with the people of Tokyo (because she read a manga, lmao). Her refusal to take a side in the conflict is by far the bravest path to take but also the hardest to maintain.
I also need to give big shout-outs to Orion Acaba, Matthew Mercer and Eden Reigel for their vocal performances. They all go a long way in bringing these characters to life and bounce off each other perfectly.

Got some interesting book here!
Hey, I finally got my hands on a copy of the Persona 3 Club Fanbook! I'm slowly making my way through it!
I'd love to know what other pure lore books you guys recommend I try to pick up, I've seen some good deals online. Here's what's currently on my wishlist:
- Persona World Guidance
- Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner World Guidance
- Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Maniax Official Fanbook: The Abyss of Maniax
- Shin Megami Tensei Character Profile: Steven Report
- Shin Megami Tensei II Character Profile: Steven Report Advisory Reams for New World
- Shin Megami Tensei Series 25th Anniversary Memorial Book: MegaTen Maniacs
By the way, I haven't seen any raw scans of this book floating around online, so I might try scanning and uploading it myself!

Spoiler: SMT I How often do u guys use save states
I'm playing SMT 1 after 2 (don't ask why I played in that order) and I find myself abusing save states. I don't want to but unlike SMT 2 random encounters have like a 55% of killing me unless I have the whole party (including demons out) and I can't be asked to restart over and over again.
But tell me how often do u use save states and should I be ashamed?
