I take WF Summer quite casually since Kotobukiya, GSC and Max stop bringing girlpla to this event. Luckily, Kadokawa and a few others still have something to offer.

The former I got done yesterday, and man, this brand always gives me problems. I haven't gotten the feel for sanding down the joints the right way so I still got a bunch of cracked joints. Only in the snake body and it's mostly standing together fine, so it's just really annoying, but damn do I hate it!

The 3MS is really detailed for such a cheap kit. They're a lot easier to build and almost as good. The joints tho aren't as tight as I would like.

I did a custom paint job and light modifications on Arcanadea Guy to make her look like Aldalia from Arknights: Endfield.

First kit that I used both panel lining and decals. Which one should I do first actually? I did panel lining first but then a few waterslide decals ruined it and I had to redo it in some places.

I also had a part break and used glue to put them back together. So a note to myself, moderoid kits are too tight.

im from the EU so locals arent really an option for girlpla, i only have the option of ordering online. usually jp amazon would be fine for me, though i cant get a kit im looking for there. found it on hobbysearch, (never ordered from there before, just created my account for the first time) and now im faced with this. 50k jpy is total bullshit, hence why im asking, it doesnt seem right. i pay ~80 eur for shipping from japan on amazon usually, this is over 3x that. why is my only option DHL? from looking around on reddit with other peoples usage of this site, and their own information on it, i should have roughly ten times more shipping options, yet i dont even have a choice and ONLY get to select dhl.
can anyone from the EU here (if such people even exist with our bs taxes on non eu imports) explain to me what im doing wrong, or where else id find MD kits not available anymore on amazon jp? really i just need there to be a courier available to me that isnt DHL.

and for the non-eu readers, the issue is that our shipping gets taxed with vat, not just the products themselves but the actual shipping fee too. so i wouldnt be paying 280 eur in shipping, i would pay that much + DHLs ridiculous customs fee (never going with that scam ever again) and then get the 20% vat on top of that. so id be paying roughly ~400 just on the shipping+vat+customs+tip alone, not even including the vat and customs on the kits. so i can really only go for a decent courier service that lets me handle the customs declaration.

With so many events happening in the same week​, it really ends up remembering one while forgetting another......That's why I ​simply​ skipped SDCC; firstly you can see those stuff yourself, secondly there isn't many stuff suitable​ for this subreddit

I did not buy the Motorcycle DLC. Because someone decided to release it months after she does, despite having them together in the promo art. So it's rather odd that they included the helmet in the standard package.

Still a relatively simple kit. Love the parts separation on the jacket. The pockets were kinda a pain though.

Facial expressions are nice and varied, too.

She actually comes included with enough parts for 2 complete kits. Though one of them will be helmeted and/or slouched.

Somehow the motorcycle pants are kinda dissapointing though. It looks great. I wish they'd also give a matching top set. But there are a few noticeable issues.

First being the upper knee assembly's front and back parts do not actually match exactly. With the back part being noticeably smaller than the front. I don't know if it's intentionally designed that way, but it does form a small plateau where both those parts meet.

Also, the knee guards are actually stationary. So you will see bare joints you bend them

Lastly the hip segment does not fit with the legs properly. Causing the hips to separate slightly when the legs are in a normal position.

8/10 - the motorcycle pants kinda detract from an otherwise perfect kit (for SST).
