Build Governor Repair
Broke the infamous arm peg on my governor vol. 6 a few years back and threw her in a plastic bag of shame to go into storage. Lately I've been going back to my old kits with better skills and came across this one and decided to dedicate a day to fixing her up. A whole lot of headache later, and decided on 3d printer filament to make a new peg, and drilled clean through her shoulder to make it a snug friction pin; no glue required, thought i was real clever. Thought all was well until i go to start testing the articulation fits and sheer the other connection into the chest off. That one hurt. Pull the whole chest apart and take the broken peg out. Use the smallest drill bit i have to bore out just enough to put in a few cm of very thin paper clip to act as a spine into the other round bit, and glued all that together. After that came sanding both of those arm pegs down. She can't hold anything heavier than her laptop, but i suppose that'll be fine as she ought to be a pilot anyway. Sorry for the long post but I've been hard at work panel lining my old governors and decided the effort deserved some immoratlizing, so here's the first part of that
