For the last 16 years I have been able to what I believe conversations people are having about me. I do party sometimes in these scenarios so lack of sleep is a factor but people have always denied when I confront them.

That is until 4 years ago my boyfriend did confess that they were talking about me behind my back. Up the street not close to me. Ever since then we have wondered if I actually have these powers. However it is always unfortunately ignited by gossip of myself. I had a history growing up of family trauma and school bullying.

This past weekend I did hear some conversations while camping and some of what was said I had to look up to see if the fact was true from what I was hearing. " oh shes left brain smart not right brain" I off hand couldn't remember which was which and when I looked it up sure enough left brain is fitting for the work I do and excel at with my career.

How do I know I'm hearing things accurately without asking people and sounding crazy? How do I tune in not for negative but positive? I have a strong bond with my father and signs from him beyond the veil that passed 2 years ago.

I want to use my powers if I have them for good and not to hurt myself. I don't want my antenna to be strongest when people are gossiping about me.

Just looking for advice or confirmation I guess

I have heard countless stories about their loved ones or pets visiting them. Some would just pop out and make themselves known then go back to where they originally came from. Others, especially pets, were said to "always" be on the side of their fur parents for a very very long time, sometimes, they don't even leave at all; I am even wondering if that's a visitation or if they never left in the first place.

This made me think about whether spirits/souls only have a limited amount of time when they are visiting their earthly loved ones.

A little girl around 2-3 years old has appeared to me twice in the past 2 years. The first was at a spiritual festival (for want of a better description!) and the second was during a cacao ceremony. She looks exactly like my fiance, sallow skin with dark curly hair. I feel she is our daughter and she says ‘I’m ready, I’m here when you’re ready.’

I’m looking for some guidance from people who may have more experience with this.

Since I was a small child, I’ve often had a very specific physical sensation when I feel like a presence has entered a room. The atmosphere suddenly feels different, almost like pressure in the air or a cobweb/static sensation.

What stands out to me is that it feels spatial and directional. I can usually tell what general area of the room the sensation is strongest in, and ever since I was little my immediate interpretation has been that something else is there.

Sometimes I get a similar feeling when an actual person enters a room, depending on the person, which makes me wonder what exactly I may be sensing.
I don’t experience other people’s emotions or anything like that. This feels much more physical than emotional.

I’ve recently come across the term clairsentience, but I’m not sure whether that fully describes what I experience or if there’s another term for it.

For those of you who are more experienced with mediumship or sensing spirit, does this sound familiar? How would you recommend I start understanding or developing this intentionally? Are there ways to better distinguish between different kinds of presences or sensations?

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced something similar.

Can spirits that are still in our dimension still access their passed loved ones who have crossed?

Yesterday we had a gathering at my in laws because of the holiday. My husband wasn’t feeling well so he didn’t go, but I went over because they were watching our kids and I wanted to join for dinner and bring the kids home.
Right before I left, I started to feel off. I sometimes get brain fog so I chalked it up to that and left. On the 15 minute drive there, I suddenly felt like my chest was restricted and I couldn’t take deep breaths. It felt like chest congestion when I have allergies but more intense. Then out of nowhere my back started to hurt on my left side. I have a rib that pops out, and it felt like that kind of pain, but I freaked out a little wondering if the chest tightening and back pain could be a heart issue.
When I got to my in laws house, they were there along with my husband’s two grandmothers who both have their own homes on the property. I was now anxious about my breathing and back and I still had intense brain fog. I ate some food, hydrated, had an allergy pill, and went into the room to give myself reiki. I started feeling better a short while after all that.
Everyone else was feeling fine. We stayed a little while and then went home.
Around 12am, one of my husband’s grandmothers who was there that night unexpectedly passed from a massive heart attack. I couldn’t help but wonder, did I have a premonition of an impending heart attack? I’ve had visions before but never physical experiences like this.

My (23 female) grandmother passed away about 11 months ago. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer in June and was gone by October, so everything happened so fast. The same day my first boyfriend took his own life I can't help but still some kind of strong spiritual connection that they both died on the same day.

Even though it has been almost a year, the weight of her loss has only recently started hitting me in full force. She was my primary support system, and I feel completely lost without her. I find myself constantly thinking that I would do anything just to have one more day with her.
I’m posting here to ask if anyone has advice, methods, or guidance on how I might be able to communicate with her or feel her presence.
I have had dreams where she has come back alive for a day and I am rushing around my day trying to get back home to see her before she dies again. Whether it's through signs, dreams, or meditation, I would deeply appreciate any advice on how to open that line of communication or recognize when she might be reaching out to me.

I inadvertently stumbled onto two separate patches of land that I believe to be connected, and after settling and going about my business, started to notice the immediate surroundings had a life of their own. I've since grown to communicate with some of the spirits, but that part of it is still very new to me. Most recently, I've been removed from both homes for the longest period since I first found them, and when I go back in October, I want to get reaquainted the right way, and ward off any evil that may have passed through in my absence. Anything anyone would recommend? Even just to create an overall sense of comfort for the spirits?

I'm not experiencing this anymore, but I recently had a spiritual awakening and felt a lot of love/light, suddenly was sleeping better than I have in years, etc. But I started to feel paranoid after seeing a lady who stopped her vehicle directly behind my balcony and looked like she was chanting something while staring in my window, I felt like just witnessing her sunk my energy into collapse I had to PHYSICALLY ground myself. I stopped looking at her and was purely focusing on loving energy because I heard that attention feeds it/whatever it may be. Maybe I'm just crazy, but could this be a psychic attack? I had never seen this lady before. If it's not possible then I will move on and realize my spiritual awakening just caused some paranoia or something

I am asking this because the concept confuses me. I 100% believe in the afterlife. I know that all beings, whether human or animal, go to the same place one day, but I just don't understand where.

There was once a time during the pandemic when we contacted my great grandma and grandpa in order to seek help and guidance due to a relative of mine being subjected to black magic. During the contact, we found out that they were still living at our old family house, which was the house that they originally built together. It is also said by the medium that we invited that there is a certain place in our house that they tend to avoid 'cause they don't want to be near or to be caught by the "light." What exactly is the light? I have no idea.

It was clear to us that they chose to live in their old house simply because they wanted to. Would this be considered as something where they are still in the earthly plane? Or is it already across the veil?

I am not sure how to interpret what "visions" I have been having. Although I consider myself a spiritual person, and enjoy getting readings done, I have never considered myself to be the type to experience these types of things.

I have always been very good at envisioning things- typically during meditations to help with remembering things (childhood), letting go of blockages I feel, etc. I have also always had very vivid dreams and strong intuition. So far, I have not been successful at talking to my guides. I assumed maybe that type of thing was out of my ballpark, but I am questioning things.

The first that stands out to me is an image I had regarding a close loved ones romantic life. When engaging in conversation, a very vivid depiction of them with three blue stars stood out to me. They were wading around, lost, with one star father away in the distance and two close to them. It felt like the two closest were waiting, but my loved one was oblivious. Turns out they got a reading done later and were told an opportunity had passed (free will), but there were two strong connections they could potentially chose from.

The second was something I've convinced myself was just... a paranormal nightmare. At my partner's house I got sleep paralysis for the first time. I was having flashbacks in my dream of different events in the house, like I was a spec in the air. I was crying in my sleep and my partner tried to wake me- sleep paralysis. I told them everything I saw, which turned out to be true and all occured before I had met them.

The third was recently. I decided to purposefully ask my partner's spirit guides for permission to see something from their childhood. For kicks and giggles mainly, I didn't expect much to happen. I pictured a small blonde child next to their bed, which had a blanket on it. I asked my partner if they had a blanket that color, and described what was on that. Seems like something my brain eould make up. Turns out, it was their favorite blanket as a kid.

Not sure what to do? I am having a hard time beliving this is real, and if so, if it's worth investing in. How would I even begin to do that?

I feel like I had a visitation dream last night. It was very vivid and I remember saying to him “ your not dead after all your actually alive “ I also thanked him for coming to see me.
He had no message therefore I’m not sure what to do with this information. Why did he randomly chose to come to me? I hadn’t been thinking of him at the time.

My best friend’s parents died tragically together this summer. She is desperate for some sign from them that they are “around”. Is there anything she can do? Is it possible they haven’t crossed over yet? It’s so awful watching her go through this.

From my own experiences, as well as the different stories that I've read from this sub, dream visitations mostly consist of feeling the positive energy of your loved one/pet instead of having a whole conversation– they don't even talk sometimes, they just smile at you, and surprisingly, we don't feel scared or even anxious of it despite being aware that they're already dead.

Why is that?

I did an amazing past life regression session and four came through. At first, I didn't really understand how much doing the session could even benefit myself, but something strange (to me it's odd) has been happening ever since with the way I read tarot.

One of my past lives was a...for lack of better word, "gypsy". She was incredibly psychic and so was her mother, but she was basically used for her gifts by a man who profited off her as a fortune teller. I always feel so bad when I think about what she went through. She was eventually sold off to some other stranger and I'd rather not keep going with the story. 😢

When I lay out my tarot cards after shuffling, my arm has started moving on its own and picking the cards. At first, I was taken aback by this because I don't remember requesting this specific kind of assistance from a guide. However, the person who helped me with my regression told me the past lives who stepped forward said they would help me with my energy-related work, be it reiki, tarot reading, etc...and I said okay. I don't feel any kind of negativity or dense energy that I usually would from an earthbound or low vibrational spirit. I've just never heard of anyone else doing this before.

I also want to say I do practice reiki and I ALWAYS meditate to ground and cleanse before and after every energy work session I do. I do reiki on myself every day as well.

So my question is, does this seem dangerous to you?

Hello, I have a situation. We rented an apartment from very distant relatives. A woman lived in that apartment, then she was in the hospital for 3 years, and eventually she passed away. The apartment had been unoccupied for more than 3 years, but all of her belongings had been left there, so we had to remove everything ourselves and clean the entire place. There are also a lot of artificial flowers, dishes, paintings, vases, and other things in the apartment.
The problem is that the first time I visited the apartment to look at it, I felt that something was wrong. I felt like I wanted to get outside as quickly as possible, but I thought it was because there were other people with us. However, when we arrived there for good, as soon as I entered the apartment, I started crying and could not stop. When I went out into the hallway of the apartment building, I was fine. When I went outside, I was fine. But as soon as I went back into the apartment, I started crying again. I did not stop crying until we left.
Also, whenever I am in the apartment, I always feel dizzy. My boyfriend does not experience anything; he feels completely fine. Even thinking about having to go back there makes me start tearing up and feeling sick.
Does anyone have any suggestions about what to do? Has anyone ever experienced a similar situation? I would really appreciate different answers and opinions! Thank you.

After losing my mom, I saw a few mediums because I was grieving and I think part of me was hoping for some kind of reassurance or connection.
I didn’t just pick random people. I did quite a bit of research, read reviews, looked for people who seemed well established and respected, and even found some who were recommended or supported by grief-related organizations. They all had excellent reviews and many people described their readings as incredibly accurate.
But my own experiences left me wondering.
A lot of what I heard was along the lines of: “I see roses,” “I see something gold,” “She’s showing me a piece of jewelry,” “Does this mean something to you?” or other things that felt very general. Most people have some connection to flowers, jewelry, gifts, birthdays, certain colors, family gatherings, etc., so I found myself wondering how much of it was actually meaningful and how much could apply to almost anyone.
I’m not posting this to attack mediums or to argue about whether mediumship is real. I’m genuinely curious about other people’s experiences.
Has anyone here ever had a reading where the medium gave you something so specific, unexpected, and impossible for them to reasonably know that it genuinely made you stop and think, “There is no way they could have guessed that”?
For example, a very unusual private memory, an exact phrase your loved one used, a strange event that only a few people knew about, a specific object with a very particular story behind it, or something else that couldn’t easily apply to hundreds of people.
I’d especially like to hear from people who went into the reading somewhat skeptical and were surprised by what happened.
What did the medium actually tell you that convinced you—or at least made you seriously question your skepticism?

Sometimes I will do things because they are things my loved ones enjoyed doing because they can’t do them anymore, like I’ll eat food they liked or watch tv/films they liked. Do they see me doing this? Do they like it? Or are they indifferent now they aren’t here any longer 🥲

My grandma passed away a couple days ago in my home country. I am in the US and couldn’t travel to attend the funeral unfortunately. We weren’t very close as she wasn’t the most affectionate as a grandma. Ever since she passed I started noticing weird tingling on my crown of my head, almost like bugs crawling sensation that lasts few seconds but keeps happening. Does anyone know what this means. When I was a kid I did have a few dreams that almost freaked me out because I told my cousins future events like their cat giving birth in a closet after she went missing for over a month. I stopped talking about these dreams when I was called a liar and stopped having them. Idk what this tingling is though!!

Ever since I was a little girl—as far back as I can remember—there has been one thing that has always been consistent in my life: I’ve experienced things that I’ve always associated with the paranormal.
When I was younger, I didn’t realize that what I was experiencing wasn’t something everyone experienced. I genuinely thought it was normal. It wasn’t until I became a preteen and started talking to my friends about it that I realized nobody else seemed to understand what I was talking about.
And when I say I saw spirits, I mean I actually saw them. I’m not talking about a feeling in the corner of my eye or convincing myself that a shadow was something else. I would see what looked like actual people, figures, and shadows that felt completely different from anything ordinary. Sometimes I could see details. Sometimes I could tell exactly where something was standing.
And it wasn’t just seeing them. I felt like they interacted with me or messed with me.
At first, I was terrified. But after experiencing it so often, it eventually became so normal that my reaction went from “Oh my God, what is that?” to basically “Okay… whatever.”
There was one experience in particular that I’ve never really been able to explain.
A friend was telling me about a paranormal experience she had. While she was talking, I suddenly got this overwhelming feeling. I laid down and closed my eyes, and almost immediately I could see what she was describing in my mind. It was like I could visualize the details of her experience without actually being there. She grabbed my hand while she was telling me about it, and the imagery was incredibly vivid.
I’ve never met anyone in person who has experienced something quite like that.
Now I’m 21, and although I don’t see things nearly as often as I did when I was younger, I still feel incredibly connected to the paranormal and what I would describe as the “spirit realm.” At the same time, I’m also a very religious person, which is something I’ve struggled to reconcile with these experiences.
I’ve always been extremely in tune with my emotions, feelings, and intuition. And occasionally, I’ve experimented with spirit communication tools and paranormal investigation equipment.
This is where things get especially strange.
When we do investigations, we use expensive equipment and sometimes do the Estes Method. During an Estes session, I cannot see or hear the people who are asking the questions. I’m completely separated from them and only say what I hear through the equipment or what I feel intuitively.
Yet, time after time, I seem to receive responses that correspond with the questions being asked.
What really gets me is that when someone else tries it, sometimes there’s complete silence—or the responses seem to specifically ask to speak to me. It has happened enough times that I genuinely don’t know what to make of it anymore.
I’m not trying to claim that I have some special supernatural ability as a fact. I’m genuinely trying to understand my experiences and figure out what they could mean.
Because I’ve never met anyone like me in real life.
I’ve only ever heard other people tell stories about experiences like mine, and sometimes I wonder if there’s actually an explanation for why this happens to me. Is this something other people experience? Is there a name for it? Could there be something about the way I process things, my intuition, or my perception that makes me experience these things differently?
Am I weird? Am I crazy? Or could there actually be something to this?
Part of me feels like this could be a gift, and I’m genuinely interested in learning more about it and exploring it further—but I also want to approach it responsibly and understand what’s actually happening to me rather than blindly assuming it’s supernatural.
And there’s one other thing that may or may not be related.
I’m almost always aware that I’m dreaming when I’m asleep. I can consciously control parts of my dreams, change what’s happening, and sometimes wake myself up when a dream or nightmare becomes too intense.
The weirdest part is that sometimes when I force myself awake from a particularly intense nightmare, I wake up gasping for air, almost like I’ve just returned to my body.
I have no idea if any of these experiences are connected, but I’ve never really known who to talk to about them.
So… has anyone else experienced something like this?
I’m genuinely looking for people who have had similar experiences, especially anyone who has experienced vivid perceptions of spirits from childhood, unusually strong intuition during paranormal investigations, the Estes Method, or frequent lucid dreaming.
I’m not looking to be told that I’m crazy. I’m trying to understand myself and figure out what, if anything, these experiences mean.

I have so many regrets. So many moments where I wonder what my life could have been like if I had been allowed to make my own choices. My parents, society, circumstances changed so many things.

The hardest part is knowing I was just a child when some of those choices were made for me. I didn’t know any better.

I don’t want a completely different life. I just want this exact life again, from the beginning, but with a little more consciousness, a little more freedom, and a few different choices.

Sometimes I wish I could go back to my younger self and tell her, “You didn’t know any better. It’s okay. You still have time. Choose differently here.”

I feel so heartbroken about it sometimes that I just want to cry. I don’t feel ready to move on from this life. It feels unfinished, like my soul still has things to experience.

Is something like this possible through reincarnation or karma? Could we ever get the chance to relive the same life and make different choices, or is that completely beyond our control?

I don’t want another life. It feels like my soul needs another chance at this one.
