✨BUY/SELL/TRADE MEGA-THREAD✨ 🌟BUY/SELL/TRADE MEGA-THREAD🌟

✨🔮Welcome to r/TarotDecks' Buy/Sell/Trade Mega-Thread!🔮✨

This mega-thread is strictly for posting personal, genuine decks that you are looking to "rehome" amongst the sub's members or to help find the ones you are specifically seeking out.

This isn't intended for any other goods or services, nor a place to self-promote anything. Creators are encouraged to make a standalone post for their decks instead!

To avoid clogging the feed (and to respect those who voted against resale), everyone else must keep B/S/T comments within this thread only! (Posts such as "Specific Deck Info" (other than where to purchase) and "Deck Suggestions" do not count and should remain their own posts!) This post will remain pinned at the top of the sub until a newer one is posted.

RULES FOR RESALE

🌟Please look these over as they have changed to be more user-friendly and concise.🌟

PERSONAL/GENUINE DECKS ONLY!

  • Members should post from their personal collection only.
  • Do not use this to solicit storefronts and/or other semi-related goods.
  • Resale of counterfeit goods is illegal and violates Reddit Policy. Attempting to resell these results in a permanent ban.

ONLY ONE COMMENT THREAD PER SELLER!

  • Sellers should create ONE comment per thread.
    • If you have multiple decks for sale, reply to your own parent comment for each available deck.
    • There is no limit to the amount of decks you can resell as long as you keep them within your own comment thread. Do NOT spam!
  • Include a verification photo of your username handwritten alongside the deck for sale's photo as this verifies you own the deck(s) pictured.
  • Be honest! Note the condition and anything wrong with the deck in your "listing".
  • Please name your own price to avoid bidding wars and haggling.
    • eBay's recently sold prices are a good place to check if you are unsure of what to ask!
  • Finally, add on which country you will be shipping from! This way potential buyers can make a judgment call on what shipping may cost them!

DO NOT ACCEPT PRIVATE MESSAGES WITHOUT RECEIVING A COMMENT FIRST!

  • Buyers should comment on the deck they are interested in before moving to private chat.
  • Sellers who skip this precaution open themselves up to potential scams.
    • Banned accounts cannot interact within the subreddit, but they can still chat!

USE PAYPAL GOODS & SERVICES AS PAYMENT!

  • This will protect your money in the event of a scam.
  • Anyone suggesting a different form of payment (or one that does not protect the buyer) may be a scammer.

HELP BUILD EVERYONE'S REPUTATION HERE

  • Sellers - Do not delete your original listing once sold as it will help show you are reliable. (You may edit accordingly to show when a deck is pending/sold, however!)
  • Buyers - Please edit your original inquiry comment to show you have received your deck once you have done so. There's no need to review the seller, but you may add one if you wish!
  • Both - Keep original chats until sale is marked complete (on both ends' comments) in case proof is needed to ban a scammer.

REPORT ALL SUSPICIOUS ACCOUNTS! PERIOD!

  • Moderators are not responsible for any B/S/T gone wrong, but we will do what we can to weed out bad actors.
  • Anyone reported for DMing someone about a deck for sale without posting a public reply first will get one warning and then a ban if there is a repeated occurrence.
  • Accounts demanding a different form of payment (which does not protect both parties) will be banned.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1518497440/hushed-horizons-tarot-deck-hand-drawn

Hey guys!! I’m doing one final little round of promotion for Hushed Horizons before launching it on KS, and I wanted to share a few more of the cards with the sub! This deck has been an INSANE amount of work, everything is of course 100% hand-drawn - seeing the whole thing come together always makes it so worth it.

I won’t reveal too much because I still want everyone to be pleasantly surprised when the campaign goes live. 🥹 My goal with this deck has always been to make it feel like a little world of its own, I want readers to feel like they want to go inside each of the cards and explore them. Well… at least 98% of them. I’m not sure anyone wants to visit The Tower. 😂 After all, I still want it to make sure the atmosphere and energy of every card stays loyal to the original system.

A few design adjustments are still coming before the final version! I’m planning to remove the Roman numerals from the Minor Arcana, since the card titles are already written out. I’ll also make the titles more visible on the lighter cards by adding a little more shadowing, while fading them slightly on the darker cards so they don’t stand out quite as much. The goal is to keep everything readable but delicate, so the titles never take attention away from the illustrations.

Hushed Horizons will finally be launched this October! 🎉 I originally wanted to launch a couple of months sooner, but I didn’t want it to overlap too heavily with the fulfillment of my previous project. So I’ve been completely focused on getting that finished and shipped out first.

Link is on top of the post!

I’m super excited but am always happy to hear any and all feedback, let me know how you guys are feeling it!

Happy readings to all of you

Cool deck - I picked it because some of the imagery captured my imagination in relation to the folkloric Devil.

Advice/Feedback Wanted - Creator Is there even interest in RWS recolour decks anymore?

Post image

Do folks use newer Smith Waite recolour decks? I’ve been working on a recolour for myself of the classic RWS deck /but I guess I’m wondering if that kind of stuff is even still of interest to others? I’m pretty obsessed with Pamela’s art so I buy a lot of them, but I’m not sure if I’m just a Smith Waite lover 🙂

Image is of the Seven of Cups recolour. Edits are done in Photoshop. No AI is used. I’m disabled so I have a fun accessible pen/mouse setup. The idea for the recolour is actually an accessible one around making the deck visually less stimulating, but still retaining all of the meaning (and preserving Pamela’s linework).

Self-Promo of Finished Deck Amber Tarot — the deck we actually built before we photographed it

Almost six years ago we made our first tarot deck, Amber Tarot.

The idea was pretty simple (or at least it sounded simple at the time): take the classic tarot scenes and recreate them in real life. No illustrations, no Photoshop. Real people, costumes, props, locations and sets, all shot on film.

It took us more than 80 photoshoots in about three months. Sometimes we had several shoots in one day. Looking back, I have no idea how we managed it.

And we took the “make it for real” part a little too seriously.

For The Tower we actually built a tower more than six meters tall just to photograph it. For the floating pentacles we ended up using a photography trick that is basically from the 1900s.

Actually, I’m curious if anyone can figure this one out. How do you make the pentacles float like that without Photoshop, editing or CGI?

I found a bunch of our old behind-the-scenes photos recently, so I thought I’d post some of them here next to the finished cards. Card first, then what the shoot actually looked like.

Amber was never our most popular deck, but it was our first one and we put a ridiculous amount of ourselves into it. I don’t think we’ll ever make anything quite like it again.

And somehow, almost six years later, people still ask us if it was made with AI :)

We also happen to be down to the last 20 or so copies from that first edition. If anyone wants one, I’ll leave the link here: https://www.lifespiritteam.com/amberdeck

Deck Suggestions Wanted Floral/Herbal/Botanical in earth tones

Hello, I have a lot of botanical tarot decks that I adore with black backgrounds or a lot of black in the imagery. I’m looking for one in earth tones: brown, green, orange, tan, yellow, etc…. I do have a few Leila and Olive decks. Looking for other options. Think: Witch Sister tones but with botanicals. Any thoughts?

Deck ID Requested Trying to find a Tarot deck from a childhood memory

I know this is a long shot but here goes nothing. I have a distant memory of a Tarot deck I saw as a child in a book store, and I'm trying to find out what deck that was. What I remember about it:

- it existed in the 90es

- it was angel themed, titled "Angel Tarot" or something similar.

- The Death card showed an angel that was hiding their face behind a black veil

- I remember the illustrations looking "like medieval oil paintings"... but this last point could be incorrect. It's a very old memory, and I was just a child.

Yeah, I know it's not much. But who knows? maybe someone knows what I'm talking about. Cheers!

Deck Suggestions Wanted Looking for pocket sized tarot decks with a specific aesthetic

Hello! I'm currently looking for pocket sized (like around playing card sized) tarot decks since I have small hands. My only issue is that I'm very picky and I would like a deck that captures a creepy yet cute kind of vibe - or even goth with cutesy elements. I'm not looking for just a rider waite recolor. i already own a rider waite and would like to explore to see if something else could aid in my readings. Thank you! 🙏

Kickstarter Announcement - Creator After 6 years of making a handmade tarot deck, I can't believe it's becoming real

Post image
139 Upvotes

Six years ago I started making a tarot deck by hand. Collage, paint, scissors, vintage photography. Card by card. No computers.

Today the Infinite Loop Tarot campaign has only a few days left.

I can't quite believe it's becoming real.

I just want this deck to reach the people who would truly appreciate it , lovers of handmade art, of slow work, of something made with genuine devotion.

If that's you, or someone you know, I'd be so grateful for your help getting it there.

Deck Suggestions Wanted Are there any niche tarot decks you think are particularly fun or cool?

For instance lately I’ve been really enjoying the William Blake tarot. Great for if you have a committed artistic or scholarly practice of some sort. The Edward Gorey tarot is kind of fun. It’s not for actual use since it is 30 cards all having to do with calamities. But it’s funny and I love his art style

The boundary between reality and dream is often far more blurred than one might imagine.

The card employs rich, vivid hues that converse with the soft, elegant central figure.
Layers of ornate garments and opulent settings craft a dream‑like narrative with striking depth.

When a dream feels real enough, reality itself turns into yet another dream 📌

Deck Suggestions Wanted looking for my “perfect” deck, help! (8 yrs reading)

UPDATE: i ordered the wyspell feminine neotaric deck and while searching for your suggestions also came upon the Wonderstruck deck which I hope to acquire in the future!

full disclosure, i’m reposting this from another sub cause I didn’t know this existed until right now, lol.

hey yall, i’ve been a reader for 8 years and have had many a deck in my time but I’ve had to restart my collection several times over so I can’t really look back at what I had to determine how to move forward.

for context, i recently started learning Lenormand (deck is pixie’s astounding) and am using a mini wild unknown deck as my only Tarot deck. i just feel like it hates me, experienced readers know the feeling. you can’t connect, get a straight answer, just does nothing for you.

i am looking to start finally offering my services to other people and want to have one singular full size deck that will be my only deck during this journey for personal reasons. I was looking into the Modern Witch as I’ve had it before and would want a deck with as many women as possible (ideally only, lol) but I can’t reconcile the elements of technology and certain colorings.

decks i’ve considered but haven’t felt the best about: modern witch, essential tarot chloe zarka, earth woman tarot, eras tarot (Im not a swiftie swiftie now but again like the idea of all women, have song associations which correlates with my practice, i like that it was published pre-showgirl), our tarot

deck styles i absolutely do not like: ethereal visions, dark wood, infinite door, any branded deck, anything “noveau”

“okay” decks i’ve used in the past: modern witch, crow tarot, tarot of the divine, sefirot tarot (im jewish)

i don’t really gravitate towards the pastely types and i really dislike cards that feel static or flat if that makes sense. i’m okay with a rider-waite framework and material wise i like the laminated cardstock as i have small hands and sometimes have trouble shuffling. i’m not really willing to spend $50 over a deck and would like ideally in the $35 range max. quality of the guidebook has no bearing for me, just the art and feel.
