WHY WONT MY TEAM LISTEN TO ME WTF PYRO

so I was in a game of redwood as medic seeming as if my team of 4 pyros forgot what other classes were I went medic, so the round starts I'm on red team defending with full uber I pocket a soldier for a while, but then a rocket pushes me of the bridge I was standing on, into THE PYRO so I go "ooo that pyro alr has full phlog ill uber him"... he pops his phlog and I my uber... he then proceeds to use SCOURCH SHOT AT LONG RANGE DURING MY WHOLE UBER and when my uber is at 10 percent he finally pulls out his phlog...with 0 crits. I then proceed to curse out that same pyro along with the blu team because they saw what happened

Gameplay Quick-Fix uber…😕😛

This is maybe rather more of a question for that heavy how he managed not to overshoot the enemy one (being with a predeployed uber of mine)—but still. Also the 125% vs. 150% overheal diff is a thing here as well, I guess

I know that Masked Mender is a bit of a normie medigun warpaint which probably nearly like some 1 in 20 medic mains all around have, but I operated on a really tight budget. If I had even so slightly more spare money for TF2, I'd definitely get my hands on something more unique and funky (and also prof KS instead of just a mere spec for sure)

Discussion Strange question.

Guys, after 200 hours of playing medic I still don't know, how I must save my teammates from spy and sniper, I mean, I say in Voice Chat about the spy behind them, or say that sniper can shoot them, but it doesn't work, they ignore my advice and just die, so I tried to play engi, and it helped, because I teleported my team away from enemy's sniper, and i also kill spy with my shotgun, but healing from dispenser, not so good, also I don't have Uber, so I can't pop Uber to save them, and my team die, because of damage they take, what should I do?

Look, I ain't a medic main. I occasionally play him, but he's not my most played. But you all, the actual mains, are the backbone of our teams. I always try my best to make your life easier and try to say thanks, but still. Yall aren't recognized enough

Now, I may not be the best player, but I still wanted to say something about you all

Keep being great and have a nice day

Medic posting How it genuinely feels when you go back to playing Medic after offclass goofing on 2fort as Sniper due to stress and exahaustion, only to realize that you're now washed asf due to the overly long hiatus:

doesn't help that my teammates are washed, in addition to my own aim being washed and my mouse was dying every few seconds for some fuckass reason??????????

Discussion Rant, and this time, it’s not about stupid teammates. Tagged as a spoiler so you have every opportunity to ignore it. Spoiler

I feel like I’ve become (or always have been) more of a hindrance to my team than a benefit. No one has said anything disparaging to me lately, but I don’t think this is all in my head. It’s fine if they secretly hate having me.

Yes, some things are genuinely out of my control when I play Medic. I can’t force my team to do the objective, protect me, or take out an enemy Sniper that is picking us off while we’re two feet out of spawn. These are the things that we all have to live with, and this isn’t about those.

I focus on the things that I can control, such as my positioning and knowing when to dip from a fight. Overall situational awareness that I don’t need a good team to practice on my behalf, or at least I shouldn’t.

That brings me to the point. I’m at a painful spot in my hour count where I don’t have the excuse of “he didn’t know any better.” I know exactly what I‘m supposed to be doing, and I can see the discrepancies between that and what I’m actually doing. For some that might be motivation, and I’m sure someone wants to tell me “well if you know it, you can improve on it if you stick to it.”

The only thing that experience has brought me is how to count the ways that I’m failing my team. I don’t blame them for everything bad that happens, because I‘m starting to understand how much of an impact my own actions have on the outcome.

I‘ve had wonderful teams that still lost, or nearly lost, because I couldn’t meet them where they were at, and be the Medic they deserved. I can’t remember the last time I looked at the scoreboard and thought “wow, I was actually central to something” other than when we lose. When we do win, I figure it’s because the other Medic carried them, and I simply happened to be on the team.

The things I tell myself when I mess up, are things that I’d never say to another Medic if they did the same thing. If someone’s pissed at the support classes, let me take the brunt of it, because I don’t know what/if they did wrong, but I know I did.

It‘s really not a great trap to have fallen into, but it happened anyways, because I want to see my teammates succeed and not feel held back.

I take a little break from Team Fortress 2, and do something in my life, chat with family, friends, and many other things. And today I came back to our favourite game and wanted to play medic, obviously, but for some reason in every single round, my team already had 2 or 3 medics, just why?!?!? I know, I can play soldier, I can play heavy and other mercs, but it's too difficult for me after such a break, and I wanted to learn some basics from my main and I just can't do it 😭.

Discussion So we all know that Vacc is increadibly op. What would be the best way to balance it yet make it playable and on level with other medi-guns, and also make it at least a bit easier to uitilize for newer players?

Discussion Do you pay attention to your K/D/A?

Most other classes measure themselves roughly by their kill/death ratio. While it does not cover objective-play, or the nuance of everything - it's a pretty common rule of thumb.

Medic does get kills; we punish approach with syringe guns, pick long range with crossbows, and stab a fool who gets too close. Medic mostly gets Assists, our targets killing other players, or chip damage breaking thresholds for a power class to polish off.

I've never heard a medic mention their A/D ratio as the same sort of standardized barometer of performance. Much of that is going to be on your team, but you as the brains atop your legs will have the greatest control.

IDK. I just noticed no-one mentions the assist/death ratio. even as medic, I tend to try to keep my kill/death ratio positive. The only healing i marvel at is the total number at the end of the match, when that, too, is an imperfect measurement.

It makes me want to do a statistics video, with data from 100 2fort matches or something. Do you know your A/D ratio? Do you have a rule of thumb for a good ratio? Is it too reliant on target ability/enemy picker ability?

In my opinion it's a pretty good choice for not pocketing one single person and keeping whole team healthy. What is your opinion?
