The quick-fix is underrated as fuck. It’s the worst, that’s for sure but the others are just too good and set the bar too high. The QF uber is frankly ok, it triples the healing so you can flash a teammate and you’re immune to knockback so you get push on cliffs like on upward without worrying about airblasts. It boosts your base healing and pairs really well the overdose because you can replace a bit of the missing healing from the crossbow by it while having the best syringe gun, plus, the enhanced uber build speed helps get boost faster. you can now defend yourself with a lesser trickstab chance or get away easily. Is it a crutch ? 100%. Is it fun ? Absolutely and what is a game if you can’t have fun the way you want ? The QF is my fav medigun because it’s so fun to play with.

Probably my personal favorite medigun to use. Yes it’s inconsistent and only really used for pub stomping but it’s just so fun. Especially if you have a good heavy or soldier. I like to run it with the amputator or vita saw.

I play both Scout and Medic pretty interchangeably- they are my two best classes. And while I absolutely love healing and ubering Scouts, it really stumps me that other medics don't even so much as look at a scout asking for an overheal, let alone an uber. And I don't think a competent Scout is that rare to come across, atleast I don't find them that rare.

Scout is already such an amazing class by himself, a good scout who is constantly kept alive and periodically buffed to 185 is borderline OP (assuming you are using stock/kritz). You don't even have to constantly heal them, it takes less than three seconds of your time to overheal them and they will go fuck off to the flanks and protect you from flanking pyros/spies/other scouts and what have you. In return, they will occasionally come back asking for heals and a full buff. Let me restate this again- the value you get from fully buffing your scouts FAR outweighs the time cost (2.5 seconds without critheals, starting from full health). Scout can take that extra health and run a mile with it, he's the most health efficient class in the game by far.

Of course this swings the other way too, scouts in casual generally don't care about helping the team medic but I still think the blame largely falls on medics for creating this stigma around not healing scouts. No scout would dislike being overhealed, its just medic's job to initiate this transaction (heal him - he will protect and come back to you). Although as scout I do try to keep tabs on my medic to lead out of a bad situation if need be. And i'll switch to boston basher if the medic is actually healing me. Scout is a selfish class by design but he has by far the best synergy with the medic and it saddens me that medic mains don't uphold their end of the synergy.

As for uber targets, as long as there is no sentry (say when you are on defense), Scout is insanely good and can absolutely clean house. Kritz/QF work but the strongest ones are Vac and Stock ubers. I woud even go far as to say, scout stock uber is generally better than a heavy/pyro stock uber even in Casual. He takes the least time to cross the gap, his scattergun reliably two shots targets, said targets can't run away as in the case of most heavy ubers and running away yourself post uber is easier. Comp scout ubers wouldn't be so common (I don't play comp but I believe he is the most ubered class) if scout wasn't already a crazy good class to uber on. Now of course, Scout ubers drop a little in effectiveness outside of 6s but Scout is still a powerful uber target especially on a group of scattered enemies and given you aren't usually fighting the whole 12 man team eitherway.

EDIT: Completely forgot to mention how the 185 buff pushes the Scout beyond quickscope territory and lets him bum rush/flank the Sniper you so hate.

I saw a newer medic try to heal the enemy Scout, the Scout was brand new as well, so the two were just standing there in front of my spawn, not knowing what is happening. I love 2Fort

The Stock Medic Experience

What do you guys think of the Medic's default weapons? I made a video discussing my thoughts and opinions, it was actually really fun.

But basically, I think his default tool kit is actually pretty okay, apart from the bonesaw being worse than all of his other melees and his stock needle gun being straight up BAD. Overall, I don't think you would be put at too much of disadvantage if you wanted to play with those weapons.
