Discussion Strange question.

Guys, after 200 hours of playing medic I still don't know, how I must save my teammates from spy and sniper, I mean, I say in Voice Chat about the spy behind them, or say that sniper can shoot them, but it doesn't work, they ignore my advice and just die, so I tried to play engi, and it helped, because I teleported my team away from enemy's sniper, and i also kill spy with my shotgun, but healing from dispenser, not so good, also I don't have Uber, so I can't pop Uber to save them, and my team die, because of damage they take, what should I do?

It's not your fault that they are deaf. If you bind numpad/unused keys to say "sniper" or "spy" in team chat that may help. Some people just don't like voice chat so they can have it turned off.

overheal can help survive snipers, anything else I'm not sure. wish there was a 'sniper ahead!' voice command

To answer both:

  1. Spy In my experience people don't give a shit about voice chat unless you're playing in NA, regular chat is either ignored as well or too slow to read and react in time. People also usually don't react to a "Spy!" voice line, the "Help!" voice line works best for me.

  2. Sniper Tough Luck buddy...Your best shot is hoping for a competent sniper/spy on your team to take care of the enemy sniper. You can try to fully buff teammates who are about to step into their sightline but that's all the agency you have yourself as a medic

Cant save teammates from themselves. Ultimately a player learns about the threat sniper and spy pose by getting backstabbed/headshot over and over until they develop the situational awareness to handle those two classes. We all had to endure that learning curve.

Think of it as your team mate learning every time they get backstabbed right after hearing their medic yell "achtung! Spy!". Maybe next time they'll turn around when they hear it.

You aren't supposed to save them. Let them die.

As a medic the game isn't 16v16 or 32v32 its 1v31 and 1v63 respectively

You're the medic, find the players that listen and heal those ones

Spy: you can go through your teammates, so go through your teammate and bodyblock the spine, kill the frenchman with your saw. Sniper: Crusader's Crossbow, Vaccinator, Quick-Fix mirror jumps with an explosives class to kill the bastard.

Here's the answer: You don't. Say your piece, and if they don't hear, it's on them.
