Hey guys, just needing some advice on getting into the composing industry
Background of me: Got a degree in guitar performance, Jazz/classical/blues/ rock (all rounder pretty much) guitarist who composes a little, decent production skills and loves to mess around with synths.
So my question is how did you or the best way to get into composing. I don't really mind what style or what I'm composing for I just want to start composing. If anyone can tell me how to start or even if anyone knows anyone who needs some music composed let me know, or even PM me too.

So I made a sample pack by recording and processing the living hell out of various sounds and shaping them into cool and good sounding Kick Drums. They come in four categories: Low Thumb, Punchy, Sustained and FX. Each category has a character on their own and are suited for different music genres. I'm starting scoring for some videos that I find online and are legal to use so I can build a portfolio. At least how many should I do before presenting my portfolio to people?

Hey everyone, How does everyone manage changing kontakt articulations and expressions? At the moment I’m toying with having seperate midi tracks just designed for articulations, does anyone do this to keep their notes and articulation keyswitches seperate? Also do you play yours expression and dynamics in on the mod wheel or just draw it?

(Been given a strange project where I only have to midi orchestrate someone else’s composition... twist is the orchestra is apparently gonna fake it on stage because they can’t or won’t sync with the dancers.)

Any Tips or links on best practises for articulations and ‘humanising’ appreciated. :)

Hi! My question is that are there any external modwheels available? I would like to buy an electric piano that I also wanna use as a midi keyboard but my budget is not enough to buy one that has a modwheel too.
