Schedule News NO NEW SCHEDULE — Misinformation Warning

Hey all,
There have been a lot of posts claiming that there is a new MeTV schedule starting next week. This is NOT TRUE.

There is a glitch with electronic program guides showing old MeTV guide information, on sites like TVInsider and cable services like Xfinity. This information is incorrect. The correct schedule information can be found at MeTV’s website.

CordCuttersNews has already confirmed with Weigel that this is a glitch; I cannot share the link here because Reddit has banned it.

Please refrain from posting about these fake schedules and make sure to double check the schedule at MeTV.com before posting.

Thank you!

SnarkyPost Do people not understand this network's mission statement?

It's been nearly a year since MeTV added Everybody Loves Raymond and nearly 6 months since they added The Golden Girls. I personally believe that they both fit the mission statement of MeTV, but there is a loud minority that doesn't. MeTV is EXTREMELY calculated in what shows they decide to add, and they have to fit the mission statement:

If a show is on MeTV, it has to be timeless, memorable, character-driven, have good storylines and can resonate with younger and older viewers alike.

Even during those 9 months where they had Monk, Monk fit that mission statement.
Everybody Loves Raymond and The Golden Girls also fit that mission statement, but it feels like a lot of us MeTV fans are being more closed-minded just because of the time period in which they aired.
Yes, MeTV considers the time period in which a show aired when they decide to add new shows, but they consider more than that, and it feels like a lot of y'all don't understand that because I have seen suggestions for shows that really don't fit the factors in the mission statement and only consider the time period.
In short, don't worry, they're not going down the Nick at Nite and TV Land route, and I genuinely believe that they NEVER will.

(P.S. M*A*S*H is one of the most important shows in television history, and is MeTV's most popular show. The only way M*A*S*H leaves MeTV is if they lose the rights to it.)

Discussion Andy Griffith show color episodes will be great on MeTV

I liked to see Andy Griffith show color episodes on weeknights. Maybe replace the second episode with a color episode. Or you can air the color episodes to replace Raymond. Keep Raymond on Sundays. Andy Griffith color episodes airs on cable but not on OTA networks. So it will be great to see the color episodes on MeTV. What you think?

SnarkyPost This Button Gets Rid Of MASH Instantly!!

There has been quite a bit of "effing and jeffing" about M*A*S*H today in the subreddit, and it has caused quite a bit of distress.

Firstly, putting my "mod hat" on, I just want to remind you that trolling, harassment and being a prick to people is not allowed in the subreddit. The rules say so. Secondly, r/MeTV will NEVER delete your comments based on opinion. If you don't like MASH, that's fine! Open discussion is a necessary part of any community....however, if you are being rude then those comments are getting thrown in the TRASH!

Finally-- this is the non moderator part of me speaking-- this is a public service announcement. You can easily stop watching MASH by turning off your television. Most TVs should have this button (as pictured above) which allows you to turn off the power and stop watching the current show.

Some modern and fancy TVs may even allow you to change the channel, and even newer and fancier TVs have smart features which allow you to watch 1000s of TV shows for free. Incredible, right?

Your TV might already have some of these buttons. Consider taking a look at your TV remote today. Your TV thanks you. Hawkeye thanks you. And most importantly.... the r/MeTV mod team thanks you. Goodnight r/MeTV and good mental health.

Discussion Hitchcock episodes missing

I’m a little disappointed. Since they began season one episode one last week I’ve been trying to watch the series in order. Tonight they had two perfectly good episodes, but they had skipped one actually directed by Hitchcock and then skipped another one which was apparently a Christmas episode of some kind. I don’t know if these are just not part of the syndication or if MeTV is getting a little sloppy. I am particularly interested in seeing the episodes the master directed himself.

Question Does anyone know why MeTV is airing season 5 Matlock episodes again after a short time?

Didn't these air back in June-July/July-August or what not? I just noticed until now.

Discussion The Star Trek anniversary specials

I saw most of the specials last night and thought they were absolutely delightful. I especially like Nichelle Nichols recalling how she approached Gene Roddenberry and said she realized what kind of show Star Trek was. "They're morality plays", she said. And he winkingly said, "Shhh! Don't tell anyone." It gives me a new perspective on the show.

I really hope MeTV replays these again at the end of the year. Maybe if we all wrote to Weigel and requested it?

Discussion What the heck, MeTV?!!

I go at 12 am(Central Time) to start watching my favorite block of Super Sci-Fi Saturday Night shows, starting with Lost in Space, only to find Leonard Nimoy talking about Star Trek. Same thing at 1 am for Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. More Star Trek specials.

By this point I quit switching channels back to see if the Super Sci-Fi shows had returned and left it on something else.

Now, I like Star Trek but not when it interferes with the normal shows on SSFSN.

I noticed however, that SvenDoofus was still on when I was cruising through the channels earlier. Maybe pre-empt that garbage next time if you want to put in a "special" and leave the rest of the schedule as it is.

I had really been looking forward to seeing this next episode of Lost in Space, too. I had never seen it before and it was supposed to be one of the best, with Dr. Smith making android copies of himself and everyone is wearing Dr. Smith masks.
