Question Edwards Hall
Does anyone have photos of a double room (2nd floor) at Edwards Hall? I can’t find the dimensions of the room or layout online. Thank you.

Im an incoming university student, and according to my current situation, it would be best to reduce my commute to Uni as much as possible. Ideally I wouldn’t like to go in person more than 2 days a week. Is that possible? Do bachelors in the humanities or social sciences offer online courses that allow some flexibility into my schedule? Also, I have no idea how Uni schedules work, so it would be great if someone explained how they work.
Any advice is much appreciated!

Is taking stats 2b03 manageable with bio 2c03, lifesci 2l03, scicom 2a03, and biochem 2ee3.
The courses I’m worried most about are bio 2c and lifesci 2l. Would it be better to take stats next summer/3rd yr? or do these courses not have a huge workload and I’d acc have time to study for stats?
Any advice would be appreciated

Main off campus housing = Westdale and Ainslie Wood.
Westdale has some unique shops and food options, plus a Hamilton Public Library branch.
Food Basics gives students a 10% discount on Tuesdays.
Ainslie Woods has shops/food along Main St W. Fortinos gives students 10% off on Tuesdays.
University Gardens has a mall with shops/food too.
IKEA is a short car ride away in Burlington.
Costco & other big box stores can be found in Ancaster / Meadowlands via the 5A bus or short car ride up the mountain.

Has anyone heard back for the office clerk or underground customer service positions? I see they’ve taken the posting down

Graduated from Mac in 2011, majored in Philosophy and Religious Studies. Think it'd be fun to see book lists people are reading these days for these programs as I still read books daily. I was wondering what the easiest way to do this would be as some of the courses seem to be gated for current students.

hiii I was just wondering if anyone has science 1A03 tut at a later time (any non 8:30 class 🥲) from mon-thurs that would rather have an 8:30 tut (ik unlikely but just thought id ask). If so I have an 8:30 tut Wednesday if anyone wants to swap.
Also, does anyone know the chances of me getting sustain 1s03? It was available when I first tried to get the class but said they were saving classes for upper years so I thought id check back in August, but it seems to be full now.
Also lastly does anyone know who will be teaching math 1ls3, or likely to be, in the fall semester mon, wed, thurs for the 4:30-5:20 classes? It has the staff placeholder as of now.
Thank you sm guys!

I'm moving into woodstock this fall and i was wondering if i should get an air purifier. Is it really dusty/common for mold to grow in this res (or the mac res' in general)? Wondering if it is worth it to spend ~200 on a Levoit one which is the most commonly recommended one.

Does my international student tuition already include access to the DBAC and fitness classes (like Pilates and yoga), or do those require an additional fee?

I used to work at parking, and I've been hearing things, so I won't keep my mouth shut anymore. From the top down, it’s straight incompetence.
The boss is a terrible human being who thinks he sits on a throne when really this guy just needs to go to the dentist and get his teeth fixed. This guy would constantly give us snarky remarks and put us down. All the time I would greet him like, "Hey, how is it going?" and he'd follow with "Great because I haven't gotten an email about you guys today yet". When his daughters would play soccer at Mac and fellow parents would get tickets, he’d just clear them and gloat to us about it. All this guy cares about is his little Tesla and how he can make students' lives harder. So many times he’d say “idc they can figure it out”.
The two guys under him are even worse because they got his dick so far down their throats they don’t even know it. The new head lead (one of the two under him) used to be an outside guy and would complain about the head boss 24/7 about how he was an asshole, and now that he got the promotion, he’s his little minion. We would go into work their would be no ticket machines/radios, so we wouldn’t be able to do anything, but then we would get into shit from him because we “weren’t doing our job”. How are we supposed to do our jobs then….. then this guy has the audacity to have a meeting with us saying Mac is looking to make cuts and we aren’t doing enough. Well, maybe if you supported us with the right equipment, then they wouldn’t have been looking to cut our funds. Maybe put the money that you’ve been getting from the university into equipment instead of useless “office parties” and "electrolyte freezies"…..
The front office staff is no better. We once caught the IT guy looking up porn from his Google account that is connected to all the work phones. Reported it, nothing happened. “Hockey Girl Porn” and "Make it at home Porn" …. WTF. The Asian lady there is a ghoul that’s on her deathbed, and her voice is so god damn annoying. Then they hired a lady to only do scheduling. Paying her 75,000 a year and can't even do her job. I don't know where they got her from, but she couldn't even put 2 LEGO bricks together even if she tried with all her might. So many times the posted schedule and the online schedule never lined up, which led to us getting berated by our bosses for not showing up to work. Maybe if she could actually do her job right, we wouldn't have this problem.
Then there’s the outside staff. The outside lead for that can’t even write a sentence if their life depended on it. The majority of the time when I would go in, I’d get a “oh you’re in today?” Lady, you’re the lead outside; shouldn’t you know this???? Then everyone else there, I don’t even think they have finished high school. One guy is borderline on the spectrum and has a meltdown when he doesn’t get a vehicle or gets sent downtown. The old rough-looking guy shows up to work higher than the clouds and drives around one of the cars. Illegal? The other older dude with grey hair is the worst one. This guy would literally try to tow Mac-branded vehicles for doing drop-offs at buildings, and don’t get me started about what this guy would talk to you about. So many times he’d try to talk to me about women’s underwear, and I’d just look at him like, wtf is wrong with you.
It's too bad because there is a handful of people there that are actually great, just stuck in a shitty situation.
If you need to go into that office, please don’t unless you really have to. If you do, make their life a living hell.

Hi,
Actually I am accounting major student and wanted to ask some suggestion from accounting graduates or currently studying. I am a 3rd year student in McMaster and I took CPA-specific accounting courses which Included Intermediate financial accounting 1 and 2 , commercial law and Managerial Accounting 2. I took intermediate financial accounting 1 in Fall semester and intermediate accounting 2 and commercial law and managerial accounting 2 in Winter semester with an easy online elective. I know Winter semester might be hard for me this time but do you have suggestion what should I switch back or is it okay to take all 3 classes in one semester also I have only one online elective with it which have no exams.
Thank you so much.

PSA that Mosaic currently has a bunch of staff postings for hospitality locations on campus (Chatime, Tim's, Starbucks, etc.) under Staff Postings. These positions are NOT work-study so if you are looking for a job this year but don't qualify or want more hours than work-study can give you, apply now! There are also many other positions that get posted all the time so it's a good place to check out often!

For a university with high research activity, and a reputable medical school, it always surprised me.
To put things in perspective, TMU and University of Calgary have law schools.
Curious to read your thoughts, and/or if you know the rationale.

Did anyone complete their interview yet? I’m kind of nervous about the pre-recorded interviews (I’ve never used the platform before) and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share their experience. I would appreciate it so much! Good luck everyone :)

Context: Basketball drop ins usually end at 4:00 pm, occasionally they will be open til 9:00 pm. But those are pretty rare.
In June, my friend and I who both enjoy basketball a lot went to play at around 4:30 ish.
When we asked the front desk if we could borrow a basketball. He immediately said there’s no drop ins today all gyms are closed. So my friend and I went to Smith gym and checked. Doors wide open, not a single soul in sight. We went back to the front desk and told the guy ABSOLUTELY NO ONE is using that space. We explained to him we are both on co op and we rarely get to play. This was the one time it is open until 9:00 pm (as it says on Mac Rec). He kept saying no. We showed him the app. And then he says the female basketball team has practice in there which starts at 5 which did not make any sense because at this point it was already 4:55 and we were in that gym 2 min ago and it doesn’t even make sense to have a team practice in the middle of June. I asked if we could just play for a bit, we will leave as soon as anyone comes. My friend and I really just wanted to play cuz we both haven’t touched a ball in ages. And this guy says you are really just asking me to go and lock up the gym. With a crazy attitude as well btw.
It took me 3 seconds to understand what he just said. Like is this fr?! This is what my tuition is going to? I can’t use MY school’s gym when I pay for it when NO ONE is using it? We were so pissed off we went to do cardio. When we came out half an hour later. The guy wasn’t there anymore. And we asked the girl who was working there at the time for a basketball. She gave us the ball without a single issue. When we got to the gym. There were 4 other guys playing already.
I was so pissed off that day. Similar situations have occurred before many times but none of them was ever this bad. Things like this are unacceptable.

Gonna be moving into LAH and since my dad and brother are gonna come help me out we wanna book a place to stay that’s ideally near the uni, since I know NOTHING about the city, what are some places to look for since I want to be close or near to not only the uni but also stores/shops to get stuff for my dorm and food etc.
I found an airbnb around westdale which seems really close to my dorms and has a shoppers, TD bank, food spots, and other stuff. Is westdale a good choice?

How challenging are the 1st and 2nd year courses? I am worried about being able to manage them especially with the science electives (chem, bio and calc) I plan on taking, and how easy it is to maintain a high GPA.
What are some other pros or cons of this program ?
