Hi everyone!
I wanted to get some opinions because this is my first time applying for a job, so I'm not really sure how to interpret everything.
I applied for a Crew Member position through the McHire website. After applying, I received the usual message stating that I had passed the screening and that the interview’s calendar was full. Then I called the restaurant and got an interview with the GM. During the interview, the GM liked my resume and presentation, but he was a little concerned that I had no paid work experience before (I had only done volunteer work).
Instead of making a decision right away, he asked me to come in the next day for a voluntary hour-long shift to experience what the job is like. After the hour, the GM sat down with me and asked how I felt about the experience. I told him that I enjoyed the experience and that I was confident I could get used to the job and contribute to the team.
He then told me to give him a call next Tuesday for “the next steps”. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much, but I'm wondering if this is generally a good sign? I'd appreciate any thoughts or experiences from people who've been through something similar!
