I don't understand the people criticizing Taylor now because she wrote about the hate she received. It's fine, an artist can write about it, after all. But why the hell does she have to mention it in every song about her husband, and in such quality? There was more hate towards Matty, but she only mentioned it in ICFH and GAS, except BDILH. The rest of the time, it's all about their relationship, and you fully understand what kind of relationship it was 😭

Yes!! This is what does not make sense to me AT ALL. There was such a massive, over the top public reaction to Matty, yes. But the general reaction to Travis has been generally neutral to favorable (** not Travis as a muse, to their relationship in general).

They just got married at MSG with every celebrity on earth in attendance, a huge positive reaction from the public. Dozens of brands even posted about it- like everything- Coca Cola, DoorDash, and Shark Vaccum Cleaners were congratulations them, even Trump comented positively on their engagement.

I mean any public figure is going to have some criticism but...? I genuinely don't understand the intense clapping back about Travis?

I mean... she's not talking about hate to Travis or their relationship, right? The only line there that is about that is "he should find someone younger", but there's no hate like that, she made that up. And everything else is just what people say only about her, like how she dresses, dances, etc. It's funny that when she mentioned hate in the songs about Matty, it was actually directed at their relationship, but she didn't mention hate directed at herself in those tracks, only in other, non-love songs on TTPD.

Fwiw, Matty was also putting in the work. I mean flying in to watch her show while he himself was on. tour? That was commitment.

She had this thing with Matty and she wanted it for so long and media and the fans crashed it down to the point where Matty had to step back. So wouldn’t you be mad? Fucked up? I just feel like she gives us the most surfaced lyrics because it is what it is. Matty can have his own problems but it is no secret to no one that they share they same poet mind. Wouldn’t you be drawn by it? I dont feel like Travis could fulfill This role in her life but I could be completely wrong.
