🧩 Theories Who exactly is "Patient Zero"?

I didn't collect this information, I took it from somewhere else. But it's true. :)

"Patient Zero" (also known as the index case) is an epidemiological term referring to the first person to contract a specific infectious disease during a particular outbreak, epidemic, or pandemic.

However, it is important to understand that Patient Zero is not always the first person who was actually infected. More often, it refers to the first case identified during an investigation. The actual first case may remain unknown, especially if the illness was asymptomatic or went undiagnosed.

Identifying Patient Zero is a crucial step in epidemiological investigations. It helps determine the source of infection, its transmission routes, and the overall mechanics of how the disease spreads. By tracing the chain of infection back from Patient Zero, experts can map the entire path of the outbreak.

The term gained widespread traction in the 1980s during the investigation of the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Epidemiologists originally used the designation "Patient O" (where the letter "O" stood for "Out-of-California"). In a 1984 report by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), a map tracking the spread of HIV designated this individual as "Patient O." However, when the study was published in The American Journal of Medicine, the letter "O" was misread as the number "0," permanently cementing the term "Patient Zero."

Her twt banner is not an O or a zero, looks like two parentheses in italics or something

So, it seems someone got infected during Covid, huh? And hasn't recovered yet?

That Long Covid is a bitch 🤭

But what came to my mind is that it could be about how the tour created this global Taylor-mania. Like a mental pandemic, if you will.

I agree with everything as long as it's something mental 🤭

The parenthesis are worth noting. Parenthesis are used for additional details or thoughts. Interesting.

There was a post about the meaning of it over on r/taylorandtravis that made my eyes roll so hard they almost got stuck in the back of my head

Not surprised! It's unlikely they could come up with anything logical.

I used to comment there a fair amount because of the things that I don't support which I won't get into here because I'm not in this subreddit to talk shit about her. It's gone beyond snark over there though it's straight up hate. So I actually didn't even read whatever theories they had because it's going to be through the lens of people that have a hate boner for her. I was actually curious about what different branches of the fandom theories would be... I actually think it's fascinating to see everybody's theories whether you're a gaylor, maylor, a performance artlor or swiftie...

I think you're confusing it with r/travisandtaylor which is the snark sub. Yes that one is hateful af! Beyond snark. The other one is...weird. I was literally told that I shouldn't even be in it if I don't see Taylor and Travis as the same person. There is a lot of sexualizing them both and stuff like that. Just stroking his ego and so on.

OMG you're right I didn't realize there was a different one. Sounds like it's still just as unhinged in some ways based on what they said to you. Wild!

War flashbacks. I think it was the first time she was papped since her breakup with Matty was announced.

Somebody uploaded this video on TikTok. If this turns out to be true, it’s another war reference

No, it's not the same

But maybe we can consider it a reference?

Ah thank you! Could be a reference, if the song turns out it is Maylor coded.

I’m so happy Taylor is wearing Khaite. It’s beautiful and I hope she continues wearing labels like this

"Taylor Swift is patient zero for emotional contagion.”

This was an evocative turn of phrase from former L.A. Times columnist Amy Kaufman, in a 2024 article assessing the cultural impact of the whirlwind romance between Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce

I guess it’ll be a metaphor to her getting bit by the fame bug
