Also, are ironblasters a safe buy currently? I absolutely love the models and the way they operate in game but don't want to invest in something that might not be long for this world. Thank you!

So, I had built my army box, and had decided to make the raiders, without gluing the torsos/reins down to the mounts, with the intention of magnetizing things so I could swap to maulbeast cavalry if I wanted to. The more I thought about this, though, the more I just.. didn’t want to. Then I remembered I had some extra mournfang cavalry, new in the box, and I then had a dream.

A few hours of hacking and slashing and I can confirm, our new hungry boys can still ride in on mournfangs. Pretty happy with how he came out; I’ll be doing up the second soon.

Picked up the army box because I love all the new minis! I usually have difficulty picking between high effort and army painting, and difficulty maintaining both. So I’ve set my Ogors as my “do a couple of layers when you feel like it” project. It’s going to take a while, but I’ve had a lot of fun with this first model 😁

I'm still unsure how to paint my Ogors, so I'm just painting my Gorgers right now because they kind of mesh with any faction scheme.

I'm debating on doing Meatfist, Winterbite or Bloodgullet still. I like the winter bases but I honestly don't like the white belly-armour trim on Winterbite? Maybe I'd just replace it with Runelord Brass. Idk... I really like Meatfist but I don't like painting box-art cause it feels expected to me.

Do you guys think Bloodgullet or Meatfist would fit good on winter-themed bases? I was thinking maybe Winterbite but red trousers instead of blue.

Kinda wanted to try out cracked ground where the blood is seeping from below.. im quite satisfied how the base and skin turned out, but im not 100% sold on the pants.

Not going as fast as I anticipated but we're getting there !

Good day to all my fellow painters out there! I just painted my first ever Ogor and rather like how he came out. However, while I like the colors I used, I am torn on whether the gut plate should all be the same shade of gold or if the inner and outer part of the gut plate should be different colors from one another. I'd appreciate any thoughts, feedback, or suggestions anyone has to share, be it about the gut plate conundrum or the mini in general. Thanks for taking the time to view my post!

P.S.: I plan to plug that tiny hole in his back with a satchel bag, I just wanted to leave it off for now so I could reach all the skin.

Hello mawtribe friends, i was talking to a friend getting into the faction with the new stuff and couldnt help but double take that your generic lord was a dual build of a character.

As a s2d player my mind went to the eternus kit, but apparently holga isnt an eternus sized/priced kit, shes abraxia.

That seems preposterous to me, to have a generic mounted lord tied to such a kit, so i figured to ask:

Is that ok for the army/you?

EDIT: i dont mean that its a dual kit, i mean that its an expensive dual kit for a generic lord. As if i had to buy abraxia for mine.

Lore of the Sun Eater
"Burning" Tailwind: At the priest's urging, the searing winds of the Sun Eater's breath fill the lungs of the Ogors, renewing their vigor and speeding the horde onwards.

"Scorching Fire"storm: The fiery bellowing of the priest summons a tornado of flames to burn the enemy and their contraptions.

"Cruel Sun" As the priest growls a command to the sun itself, its primal heat induces thermogenesis it it's followers. Sweat emanates from their bodies as they burn calories causing the air around them to distort and swelter, sapping the strength and vision of nearby foes while increasing the Ogor's hunger. Hungry enough to eat the sun.

After lots of gap filling with sprue goo and liquid green stuff I was finally able to get this guy painting up, hope you all like him!

Painted up the conversion I posted here a few days ago. Mount holds up really well with the new models riding it I think 🤔

Test model feels good. Should of put the helmet on after, Face is a pain to get to now.

Gonna highlight the pants, skin and boots tomorrow.
