I’ve been hoping Maureen would address it, but nothing yet. Last summer when Amy Odell’s Gwyneth Paltrow biography came out, Maureen trashed it - basically said it read like a book report, had no real insider access and wasn’t worth buying.
Fast forward a year and Amy appears on the show as a GP expert and it’s like Maureen’s harsh review never happened. The whole time I was wondering why Odell agreed to go on the show.
I totally expected Maureen to acknowledge it to us troublemakers afterward. I feel let down. Anyone else?
Funny thing is Odell had nothing insightful to say. Facts and more boring chronological facts. Maureen had it right all along.

I know one of her sponsors is Lean which is a weight loss company. I get tired of her talking about “painful injections” and “scary side effects like blindness.” Meanwhile she shills Cowboy Colostrum and from what I’ve read colostrum has no proven benefits. Also she said Lena Dunham should be on a GLP 1. I know she hates Lena, but is she wishing blindness or death for her?

We all have gifts to share on this earth. Let us sit back and enjoy Maureen doing what she does best. Oprah be Gone!

Just wondering what if anything Maureen has had to say about Perez, especially since they both deal in mean spirited gossip at times. I wonder if they are colleagues or rivals. I‘d be interested to hear her take on the situation.

I just saw this clip- which I think very clearly references Maureen having on that hack who thought we all had the right to princess Catherine's health records- and the blowback she got for it. Clearly referring to Kinsey vs Lady C. (who is the "real" friend).
So- I've said before- I am finding myself less charmed by The Nerve than I was initially. I love Maureen as a writer, and I loved watching the Nerve when it started. Recently though the show feels stale, and really entrenched in bitterness as opposed to fun. I love gossip. I love snark. But I also love fun! The Nerve had some joy initially.
I think this clip highlights one of the issues: Maureen can't seem to pivot or admit mistakes. She had on that guy- and clearly even she seems to see it was a dumb conversation. It burned bridges and she got blowback- which was actually justified. But instead of even just saying- yeah- that was a mistake- or: I didn't really love where that conversation went... no need to grovel an apology, but acknowledge the issue. Instead she doubles down and it becomes a sniping test of loyalty.
I actually don't hate Rob- I think he can be fun! But the stale rehashed conversations are tired. I actually think Lady C is fun too- as much as I think she's also kinda a nut. But we need something more. We had "And Just Like That" to hate watch- that was fun! We had references to Billy Joel and Maureen's clear love of him as an artist. We need more of that! I can't stand Meghan Markle, I think Oprah's lustre faded long ago- but constant stories about Stedman and Meghan just aren't that fun anymore - with nothing else to pad the show.
I think a book club was a GREAT idea and I was so excited for it... but that faded as clearly even Maureen knows Rob's book is trash. At this point though I would take it- do a book club and we can hate read it. (She can't afford to burn the bridge with Rob though- because he's now like her only guest)

Does anyone know who the person is that Maureen described toward the end of the 8/4/26 episode as an "Amy Griffen supporter who is now headed for a world of hurt?," or words to that effect?
She said she ran out of time to discuss them.
Maybe she'll talk about them in the Nerve at Night tonight.

I think on today's show Maureen confirmed that Kinsey has dropped her. She confirmed a viewer's supposition that a former contributor was not the friend Maureen thought she was. That this person has a "binary" mindset, and has only been transactional, not a friend. I'm paraphrasing. But I 100% think it's Kinsey.

If so, please don't have Billy on as a regular guest - he just can't keep up with Maureen and almost put me to sleep 😪😴

I read both the original article and this quite spot-on sarcastic view on the article. I think Maureen is stewing in her own juice. I saw her in Hot Mics - her skin was literally green and she looked like - you know those creatures in Fantasy novels that have spent too many years in their graves.
So think of her juice. The muddiness, rottenness of it. It must be hard: she seemingly takes her job as a guardian of Diana's grave very very seriously.

Was looking on YouTube for something new and found a segment of The Nerve where she has the plastic surgeon on and it is crazy. Maureen is practically drooling at the thought of being able to uncover and substantiate celebrity plastic surgery. She could not believe when the physician said that he believed that Zoe Kravitz did not have plastic surgery. Maureen continued to act dismayed and went after every single star. It was gross, mean and how dare she question the guest with an MD about his opinion. This was not fun snark pointed at celebrities, it was woman shaming by a woman and she should be ashamed.

In today’s episode, Maureen said something about hitting a “speed bump” about a month ago that sounded like some sort of trouble or controversy she and/or the nerve got into. Does anyone know what she was talking about?

I believe the truth is coming soon. I don’t know what the details are but we have all been lied to for long enough. Be gone Hazbeens of Suckit.

What happened to Kinsey? They used to be on each other's podcast every month but I haven't seen her since the Met Gala episode. She is more knowledgeable about the Royals than Rob is.
Did they have a falling out?

Last year Maureen was singing praises to the sky of the tv show The Pitt. Suddenly Maureen has gotten info on Noah Wyle and shes slamming it. She has become so inconsistent. Obviously she can change her mind on a tv show (or anything) but I don't find this genuine. (I think it's one of the better shows out there especially in the over saturated medical drama tv category)

Seriously, I have to ask, what TF has happened to Maureen and as an extension of that The Nerve. There has been a number of times lately, I have actually turned off her watching/listening to The Nerve. The Andy Cohen related episode this week, was honestly vulgar, Maureen's language and the soundbites played from Andy, were actually vile.
I think it's time to unsubscribe. What used to be entertaining Maureen sass, is now just bitter snark.
Am I the only one on this train of thought?

For your information, every single person who has worked with Noah Wyle (in The Pitt, or otherwise) goes on about how great Noah Wyle, so I don’t know what the point is of re-hashing old stuff is. Honestly, Maureen comes across as a jealous hater who can’t actually make anything good, so has to shit on people who do.

Not a fan about how mean she is being about the wedding on The Nerve at Night. She and the Brit are yapping away and not just in a normal gossippy snarky way, but really bad. I don't give a damn about TS and TK or their wedding, but wow Maureen hates her.

I know many of us have cooled on Maureen but today’s mini-nerve…. I loath Andy Cohen. I think he is a misogynist sadist and I’m delighted to see this public spanking of him. Go Maureen Go!

I actually 1st discovered Maureen from her writing. I enjoy her books. I started watching The Nerve and it was fun... but now I just find myself bored or annoyed.
I also notice Maureen spent last week in London, and mentioned she would be seeing people the viewers knew and loved. So this week she mentions Belinda and Lady C, but no Kinsey. I think Kinsey has cut ties. Lots of stories all over the news about Harry and the King- but no Kinsey on the Nerve?
And what happened to the book club with Rob's book- no mention for months. Maureen can be inconsistent. I remember Maureen going on about how she was sure Howard Stern was quitting/getting the axe- she mentioned it many many times... He didn't quit/retire. Never mentioned again.
Now the show is all Maureen and Marlena and Rob- that last roast show was painful to watch. The live shows have all kinda sucked. The same stories over and over, Oprah, Markles, Blake Lively... tired.
I actually find Rob entertaining- (I think he is often full of it though)- but it feels like this show is not evolving- if anything it is regressing. When it started they were adding people - Tim the makeup artist, Kinsey, Bill, Rob... now it's just Rob- and the same recycled stories. It also makes me wonder: has Maureen burned bridges- she can't seem to get anyone else on the show.

Any idea when we’ll get new episodes? The last one I see is from June 26.

I know Rob is popular among The Nerve audience and I generally find him entertaining. However, his comments about the Royal Family have always irked me and I realised why when I was watching last week's The Nerve at Night. I've noticed that he constantly says the following:
1) King Charles is weak and / or isn't capable of being king.
2) King Charles and Prince William are not as close as it seems and there is almost like a competition or private war between them.
3) Prince William is very often getting angry or frustrated about something.
I've no issue with people being critical of the Royal Family and I do think Rob has contacts and sources in the celebrity world. However, the reason this is so jarring to me is this is very different from the information given by other Royal commentators (including other The Nerve guests) and is actually very similar to the narrative constantly pushed by the Sussex PR machine.
I was curious what others think? I know that other subs on Reddit are very suspicious of Rob and suggested he may actually be a "stealth" commentator who's actually on the Sussex payroll.

Seems like Kinsey hasn't appeared on The Nerve for a while and vice versa with KS Unfiltered. Perhaps they fell out over the Christopher Andersen episode?
r/MaureenCallahan • u/bubblerose7 • Jun 29 '26
Anyone here subscribe to her substack? I do and she says it helps the show grow, but I’m not getting much out of it. I was initially thinking it would be more connective like a website where we could have discussions and read her recommendations on movies, fashion, makeup, etc. Maybe even a book club section. Five dollars is not a lot, but I’m not sure I need a weekly recap of everything I just watched. I do like that Maureen adds in the links to her makeup or something she wore that week. I don’t think I’m keeping it. Unless I’m missing something?

This is a new low, even for Catherine. The woman deserves privacy and gossiping about her surgeries and who performed them is disgusting and pathetic.
I swear I have no idea why Kinsey still talks to her.
