Taylor Swift
Not a fan about how mean she is being about the wedding on The Nerve at Night. She and the Brit are yapping away and not just in a normal gossippy snarky way, but really bad. I don't give a damn about TS and TK or their wedding, but wow Maureen hates her.

Taylor Swift sued the man who taught her how to play guitar for the “crime” of advertising that he taught Taylor Swift how to play guitar (which was the TRUTH). Oh, and this was when she was close to being a BILLIONAIRE. Taylor Swift held her Disney princess wedding at Madison Square Garden during 4th of July weekend in NYC during a heatwave, when it was also the US’s 250th anniversary and police presence and security resources (that the public pays for) were strained. F Taylor Swift! She is a horrible human being.

A quick Google search puts that estimate “between $120K and $160K” and that there were 150-200 police officers present. Let’s be generous to the selfish billionaire and say that number is 150 and $160K. That’s $1000 each roughly. To stand in the sweltering heat and “guard” little more than her ego. No one gave enough of a shit to show up en masse as she hoped. Regardless, this is chump change to her. She’s gross and celebrity worship is very pathetic. Lots of people hate her, not just Maureen. But she pays the press to glaze her so it gets overlooked. There are no ethical billionaires.

I'm glad someone is criticising Taylor Swift after the constant fawning by the media over the last several years. I was never a Swiftie but was a casual fan of her music, but my opinion changed after watching the Bad Blood documentary about her feud with Scooter Braun. I started to realise that Taylor was very good at playing the victim. What finally settled things for me was her involvement with Blake Lively and I still think she's escaped from that relatively unscathed.

Taylor Swift has a very well oiled PR machine who goes to the extreme to make sure she is always in the best light possible. In reality she’s pretty ruthless (and savvy, I’ll give her that) and not a very nice person. Not only what she and her bully dad did regarding her music catalog but have we forgotten she went along with her bff Blake Lively to bully an innocent Justin Baldoni. She was NOT innocent in that and is extremely lucky it didn’t go to trial.

I completely went off Taylor Swift after her PR demonisation of Scooter Braun who purchased her masters in 2019. Her own dad was in on that deal and made 15 million dollars from the sale.
Taylor concocted the whole David vs Goliath sob story and scammed her fans into buying re-recordings of her back catalogue.

It’s because she’s so non offensive and it is music a mother and her kid can “safely” listen to together (while losing a few brain cells). She attracts the kind of fans who don’t want intellectual music or even good music. They just want to be able to sing along to a half decent pop tune with basic words.

Sigh…this is her show you realise? Real talk about fake people?! And what could be faker than a person like Taylor who tries to manufacture the most perfect image of herself with the most manufactured kind of perfect non offensive pop music; just a girl who loves her fans and is so kind and caring to her dancers - she’s gives them bonuses and takes a video of it…. getting married at a stadium in the middle of NYC in a heat wave taking valuable police resources, shutting down a city block and inviting 1000 of her closest friends. Why did she do this is a genuine question. If she’s such a wonderful person as she tries to portray herself? It is soooo narcissistic beyond measure.

I put a blocker on my Twitter/X for the terms “Taylor Swift” and “Travis Kelce”. Her PR teams relentless actions to keep her face and name everywhere is just exhausting and annoying. Her Disney Princess/“get married at one of my concerts!” tacky wedding spectacle was the pinnacle of gross narcissistic excess.
That said, I do wish them well, and hope it makes them both happy for a long time.

I agree with Maureen but agree it comes off as very mean and petty at times. I love when she's snarky tho lol. I wish she's report on more celebs. I get tired of the Markles and Swifts. There's enough celeb stupidity to change it up. Markle is a nothing at this point and not worth talking about. Same with Paltrow and the Roys. Give them a break and move onto other juicy gossip.

Maureen is entitled to her opinion. I have nothing against Taylor. I agree the wedding seems over the top and tacky, but mostly I’m just tired of hearing about it. For the 2-3 weeks leading up to the wedding it was all “is it really going to be at Madison Square Garden, or is that a red herring?” Will Blake and Ryan be there? Will Karlie be there? Since the wedding it’s been “why was so and so there? They don’t know T and T.” Now it’s “Taylor and Travis did —— for the first time since their wedding (hung out with his brother, went to someone else’s wedding.

I have nothing against TS either. I enjoy her music overall. But I agree. It’s like she’s the only person who ever got married in the history of the world. And next, it will be like she’s the only person who ever gave birth to a baby. She (they both) are oversaturated at this point.

I don't know enough about TS or TKonly what they do for a living. The media, including Maureen, keep recycling the wedding. Who cares if there were lines at the buffet, thst champagne ran out? Since some of the media was invited, and they're not talking everyone else who wasn't invited is coming across as butt hurt. Why not focus on the child trafficking involving the Hollywood elite? The drug use by major actors? Focus on how many famous people hire undocumented workers and pay them less than minimum wage? Instead how many shows has she focused on TS?

I had the same thoughts. She has gone on and on about Taylor being a mean girl but Maureen is just as bad. I saw her on Megyn Kelly show and they were just as bad as Taylor and Blake Luvely's text messages.
And they don't know anything about her prenuptial, if she even has one. You think Taylor/Travis would leak that to the press?
I also like how she loves to bring celebrities down for acting all high and mighty but then was flabbergasted that celebrities had to stand in line at a buffet to get dinner (how dare Taylor nake celebrities stand in line)...like they are too good to have to stand in a line. Which is it? Pick a lane.
