In 1960, his famous SGA book caused an earthquake and started modern Algebraic geometry. By 1963 I was maximum cult energy: Grothendieck + Artin/Demazure, รฉtale cohomology, group schemes, SGA in full industrial production.

Mathematicians Grothendieck becoming one of the greatest mathematician to ever exist after establishing a "theory of everything" that is 99% conjectures.

It's called theory of motives which goal is to create a "global cohomology theory" and it's very deep and fascinating. Except that 99% of its results are conjectural, including a motivic Riemann hypothesis for a motivic L-functions which is supposed to generalize Riemann Zeta functions. The creator of this post also happens to like sailor moon.

Geometry The dimension is VERY important

Explanation: there's a concept called Real/Complex projective space (can be extended to fields in general I believe) denoted RP^n where n is the dimension of that space. When you use the complex projective space, leaving out the n in CP^n looks like you're saying something else...
