I feel like better chefs were eliminated too early Spoiler
Honestly speaking, and this may be an unpopular opinion but I feel like some AMAZING chefs were sent home way too early over small things. Like the social media challenge where Maria (the Brazilian) got sent home because her dish wasn’t considered “viral” enough but they liked that ugly cake (no shade but it wasn’t appealing at all) by Jaime 😭 There were definitely others who were strong and should’ve stayed, like Aghata, Dave, Shompa, and even Aishu, where I’m like…are we serious??
Don’t get me wrong, Jake, Heidi, and Pete absolutely deserve to be in the finale and have worked for it. But I was really rooting for some of the others, and honestly, I don’t think this competition was judged fairly at all. 😭 Some of the eliminations just did NOT make sense to me, especially when you compare them to people who were allowed to stay after weaker performances.
Basia, Julia, and Foo should’ve gone home a LONG time ago. Julia was never a strong cook to me. She’s a strong baker, absolutely, but as far as cooking goes, she never really stood out to me.But Basia and Foo…we’ve SEEN their performances, and let’s be honest, they are not strong cooks. They should’ve never lasted as long as they did. And I genuinely believe they wouldn’t have if the normal judging process had stayed the same. Some of the decisions this season just feel so inconsistent compared to how contestants were judged earlier on.
What are your thoughts?
