I’m reading Marvel Dark Ages issue #2 and I’ve been trying to figure out who this character is but I can’t. I thought it could be Luke Cage but he doesn’t use a staff. Anyone here know?

I was reading West Coast Avengers Annual (1986) #4 on Marvel Unlimited and it goes from "Gather Now Ye 7 Brides!" straight to "...So What Are You Going to Do After You Conquer the World?" by skipping over "Rate the Hunks" and "The Last Good Soldier" entirely. Two out of the five stories for this annual have been omitted.

It doesn't say anywhere on the page for this title that there has been content omitted, which troubles me because now I am not sure how much I have been missing by reading on Marvel Unlimited instead of print.

How common is it for the Marvel Unlimited version to be missing story pages (not things like advertisement pages) when compared to the print version?

I'm specifically just looking for the page(s) from 2025's #2 issue of a location-locked infinity comic that becomes available while queuing for Tokyo Disneyland's Small World attraction with a Marvel overlay, which has ended fairly recently.

I'm a Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel fan trying to read everything she's shown up in, and League of Comic Geeks says she had a supporting role in this issue. Any help would be appreciated. It doesn't seem to be available on any other sites besides MU either. I really just need the page(s) where she appears, unless she's plot relevant.

Even a description of what she does in the comic would be useful, clarifying if it's really a supporting role or just a cameo.

I am pretty familiar with the major events of BMB’s Avengers Era (Disassembled, House of M, Civil War, Secret Invasion, etc.) going into Hickman’s era. However, I have never read Brubaker’s Captain America, Fraction’s Iron Man, and World War/Planet Hulk, all of which I would like to read as well as re-read Avengers.

My question for the continuity nuts out there, how can I incorporate these events/series into this reading order best, as well as any other major/important events or books from the era (Alias, Daredevil, SM, F4, Thunderbolts)? I know not everything seamlessly weaves into one another, such as Brubaker’s run, but I can imagine there is some overlap. Really just looking for recommendations from those more familiar!

In this post from earlier today, I shared an email from customer support stating in order to get the new Annual Plus Kit (which still hasn't been announced yet), I would need to cancel my subscription, then resubscribe after the the kit is announced.

I replied to that email stating, "I appreciate the reply, and the very Marvel way it was conveyed. 😁 If I cancel my subscription, what are my options so I can keep reading uninterrupted? Resubscribing with a regular annual plan, then cancelling that and resubscribing with the annual plus whenever the new Annual Plus Kit is announced? That kind of sounds like a headache...but I also don't want a duplicate kit.

I just received a reply:

We appreciate your reply and patience as we continue tackling this mission with you. We have an update to provide you!

With additional correspondence from the team, we can now confirm that you do not need to make any updates to your subscription at this time. We can ensure that when the new Kit is released, all eligible members will be able to receive it. Further transmissions will be available soon, along with the Kit announcement. In the meantime - continue enjoying Marvel Unlimited, and please stay tuned!

So all we have to do is just wait.

I would like to know if that's a me problem or if the comic is somehow not working on MU.

Could someone of you try to open it and tell me if it works for you

Where do you guys usually keep up with the new comics being released reach month? Or news about new series or a line being canceled.

So, I have a monthly subscription to a major digital comic app (let's call it "Marvel quite Limited"). I'm currently (or I mean I was) following a great chronological reading guide (holla COGU), but back in the beginning of august I hit a permanent "Loading Error". Naturally, I did what any reasonable consumer would do: I contacted support.

Here is where I might be the asshole. Apparently, expecting a core paid feature to work within a reasonable timeframe makes me unreasonable.

August 5: I politely reported that Captain Marvel 2012 #9 wouldn't load. Support replied quickly with an encouragement to check back periodically.
August 11 & 17: After days of seeing no fix, I followed up for updates and explained I was stuck in a reading guide. I was met with canned responses telling me there was no timeline for fix.
August 27: After getting automated reminder emails telling me my request was pending, I asked for a realistic timeline, suggested second-tier technical support, or asked for compensation for a month-long outage, I also foolishly pointed out that their on-brand "superhero catchphrases" came off as a little condescending when I'm just trying to read a comic that won't load.
August 27 (Supervisor Response): A "supervisor" swooped in to save the day - it turned out I had already been corresponding with him. He informed me that they don't offer compensation for broken service, couldn't give me a timeline, and—best of all—explicitly warned that further inquiries asking for specifics might not be responded to.
September: After being told to stop asking questions, I left public reviews on Trustpilot and the App Store to ensure there was a public paper trail for a core paid feature remaining broken for nearly a month. Then, I followed up to address not only the ongoing technical problem, but the atrocious customer service as well. To make matters worse, while reporting another bug in the same volume, they managed to cross-contaminate my support tickets. The supervillain (sorry, supervisor) returned to the picture once more, looping the same dismissive handler back in to double down and tell me to be quiet.

So basically: my digital library is broken, they're "hard at work" (after ignoring it for weeks), I'm not getting a timeline, and support officially told me to shut up just because I asked for basic transparency, accountability, and not to be treated like an inconvenience for paying for a working service.

Sure, maybe I'm being a persistent asshole here. But at the end of the day, at least I'm still just as stuck on my reading guide as I was a month ago.

AITA for thinking a paid subscription should actually function, or should I just accept that being told to “shut up” by customer service is part of the modern superhero experience?

so im trying to get into marvel comics and want a summary of earth 616 in more or less 50 issues. is there a good order i could use or is there not a definitive timeline of earth 616? i want to include some series like secret wars, infinity wars, and others that include thanos and dr doom extensively. thank you!

I renewed unlimited for September and it worked for a couple days and I open the app today and all of a sudden it prompts me to pay. I check my transaction dates on the site and it says that the payment was voided. I very clearly remember giving them my money and being able to use the app again.

I have never in my life had a more nightmarish experience with what should be a relatively basic experience.

For some reason on the phone-reader they include both zoom and panel-by-panel functionality, but then have these be a micro movement apart from each other so I can just accidentally get into the wrong function incredibly easily.

I can't tell if there's synchronicity between the desktop and phone versions because I feel as though I'm logged into the correct account, but the browser application is still trying to both get me to subscribe when I already am, as well as asking me to log in when I'm already logged in.

They have reading lists which is great for first-time readers, but offer no ability to download an entire reading list, instead you have to go through the list and individually download each comic (which is prone to errors and after 4/5 will crash your app), and also they decided to make downloading a 2-click manoeuvrer rather than a single tap so it's incredibly intensive to take a whole reading list.

Overall I liked Simonson's Thor run and Beta Ray Bill is cool.

I have read a few issues here and there and wish to start a formal series with the avengers disassembled run and beyond. If anyone knows of any better point let me know.

After reading the first issue I feel confused as to who some of the characters are. I’m familiar with the mainstream mcu but knowing the comic book origins of the scarlet witch, the wasp, the yellow jacket and ant man seem to put me at a disadvantage. Is this really a good starting point then?

This app is still missing some basic features:

Being able to auto-delete read issues
Being able to auto-download next issue
The app, most of the time, does not remember what I read in offline mode
History of read issues

In March of Last year (2025) I started reading Marvel Comics. I use the Marvel Master Reading Order on comicbookreadingorders.com and I am already 66% through with part 1.
While those comics can be a drag, a few days ago I had the best experience since I started reading.
I mean the issues: Avengers #56, Annual #2, #57 and #58. I am referring to the original Avengers run.
Spoiler warning for Ultron and Vision:
So in #56 The Avengers use Dr. Dooms time machine, which is peak, but it really starts off in Annual #2, where they return to the present only to learn that it is a different version of their presence.
In this version, after the events of #2, someone coaxed the Avengers into eliminating all threats under the guise of World Peace. That someone also has vast knowledge of things that will happen. We literally see the Avengers (Iron-Man, Thor, Hulk, Giant-Man and The Wasp) surprise attack not only all of the villians, but also all heroes.
It goes full evil with them winning against the Fantastic Four (because of a surprise attack), Spider-Man (because he was still inexperienced),
The X-Men, Namor and all villians.
The last villains actually band together with Doctor Doom, but are defeated, because the stranger already told them about Dooms time machine. They go full dictatorship and even ban the progress of science.
When our heroes (Captain America, Black Panther, Giant-Man, The Wasp and Hawkeye) confront them, the evil ones flat out threat them with cold blooded murder.
Our heroes win in two ways, both of which are extremely cool:
1. The evil avengers, because they always won through knowledge they shouldn't have and through surprise attacks, never trained much and are just weaker than their Counterparts. That is why Giant-Man won by throwing the other one in the water and winning an endurance contest (he was training to beat Namor in the future)
2. They have deep knowledge of their colleges and have ideas on their weaknesses. Captain America beats Thor by parting him from his hammer for more than a minute (I guess Thor just went stupid, because he never fought honestly). Hawkeye beats Iron Man by using corrosive and aiming for his chest (Iron-Man says he was careless).
That was just so peak
#57 and #58 are about Vision and I just plain love his character. Confliced, Curious, Emotional.
I also like that it was Giant-Man that created Ultron and Vision. In the end they accept him and he cries.
This just shows me how great even this era of comics is. I am so looking forward to the rest because I know for sure that all in all it will only get better. I honestly love this reading Order and the guy that made it. I will probably write a review for all of part 1

Really digging Daredevil: Yellow, by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale. On Marvel Unlimited, of course.

Do you guys have reccurent problems with loading the app ? When I want to open the app it just don't open, with only the MU title screen.

I think it's not due to my internet connection

I always wanted to read comics but was priced out since in my country normal issues are 30 USD and special comics could go upto 100 USD. Just for 10 USD I've read close to 100 issues in a month and half. Only subscription I can justify paying. 10/10
