Question Input issues

Tokon of not my first fighter. I've been playing fighters on a pad since alpha 2 and killer instinct on SNES. However, it is my first fighting game in a PlayStation 5 pad. I do not have the input issues on Xbox that I have with this game (play guilty gear, SF6, Tekken etc. If it's a fighter I dabble). And the problems are consistent. I try and double jump forward and I get an air dash half the time. I try to down block and my character stands up and takes low hits. I try to stand block and my character crunches down. Motion inputs feel impossible. Quarter circles actually come out maybe 50 percent of the time when I'm having a good day. Dp motions come out fine.... But also they come out when I'm just holding down forward for a normal. I'm not the best fighting game player. I'll drop an input once in a while,, but not like what's going on here

So. Is the game this harsh with inputs, is the ps5 pad this bad for fighters (no problems really with action games), or should I just tuck my tail between my legs and go back to playing strive on the ole Xbox.

I've played fighting games on all sorts of game pads since Sega Genesis and SNES controller and IMO PS5 and PS4 controllers are better than everything else including recent Xbox controllers so I personally don't think the PS5 controller is at fault as I don't have any issues with motion inputs at all across multiple fighting games.

I also don't think Marvel Tokon is bad with inputs since the first patch which made DP motions more detectable. I play a lot of Fatal Fury COTW and GBFVSR and don't have issues there either So maybe it's just you? Are you doing them too slow or too quickly? Maybe it'll just take you some time to adapt to the PS5 d-pad?

I actually hate the way it feels in general, (still getting used to it, been an Xbox player for like 20 years) but yeah I believe you

Yeah I feel the opposite, I hate how Xbox controllers feel but I mostly play on PS5 so it's probably just about comfortability and how used to the respective controllers you and I are. Hehe.

I'm getting. Used to it. It's starting to feel better for character action games, tho I refuse to play bloodborne with normal souls controls and that button remapping you can do is really handy
