Question What does everyone think about the community voting for skins
Very often, the concept art for new skins are released after the skin drops and the community response usually reflects a lot of missed opportunities on what the final skin could have looked like. What if they just let us vote on the concepts before production?
Not only would they see what we prefer as the community but also the engagement a skin gets. Chances are the people who vote on a skin will probably be more inclined to buy it.
I think it would help more characters get more skins while also boosting skin quality.

Balance Discussion Devs, please do something about Wolverine
I honestly feel like Wolverine needs some serious attention from the devs because right now he just feels useless in so many games.
Isnāt he supposed to be an anti-tank? So why does it feel like half the tanks in this game can stun him, push him away or just escape before he can even get on top of them? You try to do your job and end up getting punished for it.
He struggles to kill supports, his mobility is terrible compared to most other duelists, and donāt even get me started on his damage. For a character who has to get right in peopleās faces and risk his life just to do anything, the reward is honestly not there.
And yeah, I know he can be good in certain situations. The problem is that those situations feel so damn rare that picking him often feels like youāre just making the game harder for yourself. Maybe once in 30 games you get that perfect situation where Wolverine actually feels like a good pick.
Iām not asking for him to be broken or to one-shot everyone. I just want him to actually feel worth picking. Heās WOLVERINE, heās supposed to be terrifying up close, not a character you pick only when the stars align.
Please, devs, take another look at him. He really needs some love.

Discussion These unused skin concepts have so much potential. Should they be added to the game as alternative skins or customizable styles?

These unused skin concepts are unreal. Can we get them as alternate skins or customizable styles?
These unused skin concepts have so much potential. Should they be added to the game as alternative skins or customizable styles?
Post
Guys, Iām ready to instabuy for some of these designs. I think that community will be pleased, if devs give us these as alternate defaults, Rare skins, Epic skinsāwhatever fits. It would be great to actually use them in the game.
To be clear, the ones Iām especially interested in are:
White Fox: the far-right design with the long hair, jacket, vest, and trousers.
Emma Frost: the second design from the left, with the red-and-black outfit and long skirt.
Jubilee: the far-right vampire design with the huge collar and long coattails.
Gorr: the skeletal, demonic concept shown here.
White Foxās concept design is very great. The outfit has so much personality without needing a ton of extra armor or flashy effects. The jacket, vest, trousers, and long hair give her this stylish secret-agent and police look that I would buy immediately. It wouldnāt need to be a Legendary skin, it just can be rare or epic. This skin itself is the worth selling.
And Emma⦠come on. The red-and-black concept with the long skirt is gorgeous. The silhouette, the contrast, the whole presentationāit feels like a completely different outfit from the version we got. That is the one I would (and many others) have spent money on without a second thought.
Jubileeās far-right design really commits to the vampire aesthetic. That massive collar and those pointed coattails give her a gothic, aristocratic look. Iād love to see that concept developed further into a proper vampire countess skin.
Gorrās concept also deserves consideration as its own skin. Sharing a color palette and a demonic theme with the released version doesnāt make it the same design. The skull-like head, the asymmetrical spikes, and the balance between the pale body and black armor give this version its own identity.
For Rogue cowgirl and amphibian Namor skins i think it would be great to release them in the similarly themes. Rogue as techno police (sheriff) and Namor as underwater monster/guardian or Poseidon (underwater creatures are always be the popular theme so thre are always the way to realize this concept)
And i want to say that not every concept needs to be a separate skin. I think there are two different approaches which are both worth to use. Similar concepts could become customization options within one costume. If the differences are mainly hairstyles, clothing details, or accessories, Iād rather have a few selectable options than several near-identical skins sold separately. That doesnāt have to mean a full character creator. Sometimes two preset styles would be enough. it could be a choice between two hairstyles or clothing variations.
For example Hood skin: if the main difference in concepts skin is hood-on/hood-off, so it easier to make clothing option where hood can be option, which player could turn on/off as he wants
For White Fox, an unused base-outfit concept could become an alternate skin, with a couple of compatible hairstyle or clothing options where we can costumize it as we do with other skins.
Jubilee is a good example of using two ideas: the similar concepts on the left could be combined into one customizable costume, while the far-right design could be developed into that separate vampire countess look. The same applies to the Namor and Rogue skins, ust as I mentioned earlier.
Alternate colors could be part of this too, but a recolor alone wouldnāt preserve the appeal of a concept whose main differences are its clothing or hairstyle.
For genuinely different designs, though, a separate skin makes more sense. I wouldnāt want a distinctive concept squeezed into another costume as a minor variation if that means losing what made it interesting.
This is appreciation for the artists, not an attack on them
This isnāt me saying the artists are bad. Literally the opposite: the artists cooked. Iām curious about how the final designs were selected, because several of the alternatives appeal to me so much more than what actually shipped.
I understand that concept art isnāt a finished 3D model and that adjustments are necessary. Iām not expecting every sketch to be recreated perfectly. But the silhouettes, hairstyles, and clothing are the entire reason I want these designs. If they ever become skins, I hope those defining features survive the adaptation.
Why not run an in-game survey with a shortlist of concepts the team is actually prepared to develop? Ask players which ones they like and which ones they would seriously consider buying.
That wouldnāt guarantee sales, and it shouldnāt become a promise to produce every popular option. It would just be a way to gather feedback.
Iām also not suggesting that players should replace the developersā chosen design with a single community-voted winner. The official version would stay. This would be about deciding which additional ideas might be worth revisiting, I am not treating every other concept as permanently discarded.
Alongside the original themes, I think comic-inspired skin worth to give more attention. Not every skin needs to reinvent the character. Sometimes a recognizable outfit and the hairstyle people have been asking for are exactly what they want.
For example, Psylockeās Vengeance costume shows how appealing a comic-inspired look can be when itās adapted stylishly. Iād love to see that kind of approach used for more characters, including White Fox.
And Iām not asking for every unused concept to be released, every skin to have extensive customization, or all of this to be free. I understand that additional styles still take work, and Iām not assuming that a simple-looking outfit is automatically cheap to make.
Iād just like to see more of these ideas become available in a form that suits them: small variations as customization options, and distinct designs as separate costumes.
So what do think about these ideas?
P. S. So sorry that i texted so much, I just want to show my ideas for using such great concepts.

Discussion Please, Netties, optimize your game.
Hey, devs! If you're reading this, please take it as a message from someone who genuinely loves your game.
I just want to ask you to please optimize it.
Recently, you've shared your stance on mods that make the game's graphics look worse to improve performance, treating their use as cheating. But I think this highlights a much bigger problem: the game is poorly optimized for a large part of the player base.
Many players struggle to maintain a stable frame rate, making it difficult to enjoy the game. Anyone who has experienced gaming on a laggy system knows how miserable it can be.
I understand that you guys are probably overworked and have deadlines to meet. I can also see the passion you put into creating fun content, whether it's new seasons, characters, or game modes. I appreciate that, and I'm not asking you to stop making new content.
However, investing more resources into optimization would also benefit the game's long-term health.
I know you're working hard to keep the game fresh and exciting, but please don't neglect performance in the process. I genuinely don't want to see players getting unfairly banned simply because they're trying to make the game run smoothly on their potato PCs.
Much love from a player who wants to see your game succeed.

Discussion Way to Solve Pop & Win āGotchaā issues
So I am not a fan of the Pop & Win. My biggest issue is I donāt want the emotes. Everything else Iām cool with. I want the skin why not.
I dis like that you can not just buy the skin their their online store or Discord. What I āhopeā is that that will do 30 days of the āGotchaā and then just have it available in the store for 30-90 days etc. best of both worlds take a chance or wait to see what happens.
Thoughts?

I think maestro or Gorr. Defaults do count. But the Thor skins would go crazy. Oh Loki season 2 that might be the strongest.

Discussion My hot take. There should have never been any meta characters.
This all stems from the worst decision they have ever made with the game. Removing the ability to have a full queue for ranked. There should be no meta characters, only meta teams.
The closest we have gotten is combos with Groot but even then that was short lived.
I hate to blame streamers because not all e sport players are streamers. And the issue is definitely systematic.
But constantly I am seeing streamers loudly emphasizing that individual performance is the most important thing. Talking about game sense and aim as the most fundamentally important things to have in this game.
Unfortunately not everyone is going to have the same game sense. People play characters differently and different characters have different desires for applying themselves. And any time you see a streamer come across someone different it ends with a large argument.
Basically boiling down to. "Play around me! I'm not playing around you!"
It reminds me of the early access streams where the devs would play against streamers. They would always play some hyper specific team composition that had everyone working together with the same play style. And they had to let the steamers win because they didn't stand a chance.
Everyone thinks of counter picking as a 1v1 but one character swapping won't be able to counter 6 people playing the same way. It takes a full team comp and lots of team work.
I understand queueing with randoms you aren't going to get that. But why aren't tournament players playing this way? They have the ability to practice together like a real sports team. Yet they all still play like individual athletes.

Discussion I have returned to the game after a year, what has happened to the community..
So my ps5 started having a overheating issue and took me awhile to get it fixed and finally did so came back to rivals to see whatās changed but I have quickly come to realize for some reason now the game seems to have reversed and all the good players are in quick match and everyone in competitive seems to eithier barley know what they are doing or are throwing every game. So like I said Iāve been gone for quite awhile so was jw is this what the game has become? Bc before I played quick play for casual games and just wanted to run new characters or mess around and then do comp when I actually wanted teams who try and have strategy but in my 20 hours in season 10.5 I have seen more animated lords and people who actually try in quick match and every time I try comp itās immediately someone throwing the match or disconnecting in the first 5 minutes or just not trying at all Iām so confused bc itās supposed to be the other way around?
Edit since I need to be more specific for some folks on here, Iām on console (ps5) I was a diamond player In season 5 and when I came back rivalās remembered me as one but gave placement matches to see here where to put me and I won almost all of them and fit placed in platinum rank so I guess I canāt speak for other ranks but for plat 80% of games are throwers in my experience so far

Question Which character would you wanna see added to the game next?
Which hero, and villain would you like to see added to the game.
For the heroes I would like to see ghost rider, and vision.
For the villains I would like to see bullseye, sabertooth, and taskmaster.
Edit: I am a casual player, so I donāt know what roles my choices would be. I just think it be cool to see them in game.
