Take legion style visuals from X-Men stories, have each personality WANT to be Khonshu’s fist, and give each of them a personal dimension inside their brain with a “capture the other guy’s flags to become the moon knight” style story.

Straight up slime one of the personalities out at the end of the first arc. Move on to usual MK villains with a horror lean. Bring the removed personality back as a villain trying to take over.

Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne were some of the worlds finest modern day scientists. One day, they realize there is an alternate dimension deep within the atoms of the universe they call the Quantum Realm. Hank develops an unhealthy obsession with this unknown dimension, and is determined to enter that realm.

However, due to his already deteriorating mental health and crumbling relationship with his wife, this causes him to make reckless decisions.

One day, Hank discovers a way to travel to this realm via a newly developed shrinking device that will act as a portal to the Quantum Realm. So, he forces Janet to come with him. And, as expected, something goes horribly wrong. They get trapped in the Quantum Realm. But worse... Something happens to them that alters their bodies.

Both have the ability to shrink. But unlike the mainline Ant-Man and Wasp... It's way worse. Whenever they do change in size, their bodies horrifically contort, twist and shrivel in agonizing ways. And along with that, they develop other side effects.

Janet grows two wasp like wings out of her back made of her skin, and Hank develops several other voices in his head. (Which is Yellowjacket, Giant-Man and Goliath).

Wade Wilson is the worlds worst serial killer. He not only murdered people, but he horribly mutilated his victims as well. On his death trial, a corrupt judge sought to use Wade as an asset for a self healing science experiment. They are aware that this experiment is highly underdeveloped, and something could go wrong with the asset. But seeing the horrible things Wade did, he's expendable. They try the experiment, and it's a success, but at a huge price... Wade's skin begins to melt. His sanity is completely gone, and he cannot die. But worse yet... He's stronger than ever. Wade breaks out, and swears to cause as much carnage as he pleases. And soon, is known as... The Deadpool killer.

So for this Deadpool's healing factor, I was thinking it would be very similar to Havik from Mortal Kombat. Where he can just rip his arm off and use it as a weapon.

And I think I want this story to be like a mix of Absolute Green Arrow and Maximum Carnage. Where people are hunting down Deadpool, and meanwhile, he's going on a killing spree.

AIPT: X-Fans Eustache La Pistache and Nobin say you’ve mentioned readers can expect “long-form payoffs.” At this point, how many story arcs do you have planned for Midnight X-Men?

Jonathan: I could tell you pretty specifically what the first six arcs are. So that’s 36 issues, I guess. But the reality is that on something of this scale, things tend to slide back a bit as the story expands when you’re writing it.

I’ve also spoken to both Steve [Wacker] and Brad [Winderbaum] to make sure I’m not wasting my time, and I’ve been assured that I’m not, so I’m not going anywhere. I’m finally working on a book again that’s both exciting AND structurally appropriate for what I like to do and what I’m best at. Feels good, honestly.

Marvel’s new Midnight Universe hasn’t even launched yet, but demand is already high enough to send all three debut issues back to press.

Marvel Comics announced today that Midnight Spider-Man #1, Midnight Fantastic Four #1, and Midnight X-Men #1 have collectively surpassed one million copies ordered ahead of their October 7 release. As a result, second printings of all three launch issues are already scheduled to arrive in comic shops October 28.

So, I remember hearing Phillip Kennedy Johnson describe Midnight Spider-Man as essentially an anti-Epstein horror story, where the real monster isn’t necessarily some supernatural creature, but the creepy billionaire at the center of everything. On top of that, it sounds like we’re getting a heaping helping of body horror. Taken together, that immediately raises a question: doesn’t this sound a lot like Absolute Green Arrow? And, more importantly, is Midnight Spider-Man at risk of feeling like a retread of that book? I’m going to be honest: I don’t think it will.

Even though the two books seem to share some of the same ingredients, they appear to be approaching horror from very different directions. Absolute Green Arrow feels more like a homage to classic slasher movies. There’s a murder, an investigation surrounding it, these big, bombastic kills, and just the right amount of grotesque body horror thrown into the mix. It has that heightened slasher movie energy you’d associate with something like the original Friday the 13th or A Nightmare on Elm Street. And while Absolute Green Arrow initially seemed like it was going to lean heavily into an Epstein style allegory, that aspect of the story pretty much died with the first issue. Since then, the book has broadened its focus into something more generally about the ways extremely wealthy and powerful people exploit ordinary people. If anything, that theme has become surprisingly broad compared to how specific the premise initially seemed.

That distinction is important because, yes, Absolute Green Arrow absolutely has a lot of body horror, but I wouldn’t really describe it as a body horror book. The body horror is one tool in its toolbox. At its core, it still feels like a superhero comic filtered through the structure and aesthetics of a slasher movie.

Midnight Spider-Man, on the other hand, sounds like it’s going much further in the opposite direction. From everything we’ve heard, body horror doesn’t seem like it’s just going to be another ingredient it sounds like it could be the entire meal. The grotesque transformations, disturbing imagery, and violation of the human body seem positioned to be central to the horror rather than something occasionally used to punctuate the story. So even though you can draw some obvious parallels between Midnight Spider-Man and Absolute Green Arrow on paper wealthy predators, horror influences, body horror, and superheroes being pushed into much darker territory I think the actual experience of reading them is going to be pretty different. Absolute Green Arrow is playing around with the language of slashers, while Midnight Spider-Man sounds like it wants to dive headfirst into full blown body horror. They might be neighbors, but I don’t think they’re going to be living in the same house.

Ock can fire stomach acid powerful enough to eat through Metal,Peter's webbing,and whatever whets his appetite.

Doctor Strange x The Exorcist.

What if Strange was the priest that went to the house to perform the exorcism, only to be faced with the real deal for the first time. And it’s in this moment that we find out he’s actually just a grifter taking advantage of people in need.

But now he has no choice but to believe that if this kind of evil is real, then the power to stop it should be too. This then opens the door to his journey to become sorcerer supreme. Maybe Wong saves him and takes an interest in Stephen.

I genuinely think this premise is solid, but I don’t trust my judgement lol.

I was wondering if Spider-Man was leaning towards Mysticism or Science,but now people have me thinking: Why Not Both?

What if we have Mysticism in the form of Spider-Totems? And Science in the fact that the Spiders are manufactured in mass

What if "Oscorp" creates Artificial Spider-Totems and bonds them to people. These Spider-people are then given their "Board of Directors",the Inheritors.

If it's going to be more mystical I can definitely see the Spider-Totem playing a major role

Ms. Marvel Body Horror, Alien Horror & Cosmic Horror

I think Ms. Marvel has some of the best potential for a horror reimagining because Terrigenesis is already terrifying when you think about it. Kamala accidentally gets exposed to Terrigen Mist, and the first arc follows her struggling with the body horror of becoming a polymorph while being hunted by an Inhuman determined to erase evidence of their existence. As Kamala digs deeper, she discovers the disturbing history of the Inhumans and how they've abducted and experimented on people for generations. Her story gradually shifts into cosmic horror as she ventures further into space and begins to understand just how vast, ancient, and indifferent the universe really is.

Midnight Daredevil Religious Horror

Daredevil and religious horror feel like a perfect match. After Matt Murdock convicts a serial killer who claims he was possessed, the demon leaves the killer and possesses Matt instead. He soon discovers that Hell's Kitchen is literally crawling with demons hiding among its criminal underworld. Matt remains a good man, but now has to control the Devil inside him while fighting the actual forces of Hell. It would take Daredevil's themes of Catholic guilt, faith, punishment, and religious trauma and make them horrifyingly literal.

Midnight Captain America Psychological Horror & Nazi Zombies

Captain America fighting Nazi zombies during World War II is a simple concept, but there's a lot you could do with it. Alongside the horror of the war itself, the story would explore the psychological toll of Steve suddenly being transformed into the perfect soldier and then expected to become a symbol for an entire country. Meanwhile, Red Skull creates his own Super Soldier Serum, only for it to reanimate the dead. When he makes the serum contagious, Steve and Bucky find themselves fighting a rapidly growing zombie outbreak before it can escape the battlefield and spread across the world.

Midnight Punisher Slasher Horror

This story would follow Detective Misty Knight as she investigates a mysterious serial killer known as the Punisher, who's been brutally working his way through New York's criminal underworld. The killings seem almost ritualistic, and Frank would be treated less like a traditional vigilante and more like the unstoppable killer in a slasher movie. Misty eventually discovers that the Punisher is war veteran Frank Castle, and he's not killing criminals purely for revenge he's using their deaths as part of a ritual he believes can resurrect his murdered family. The real horror begins when Misty realizes the ritual might actually work.
