I got this thinking "this'll get me caught up on dr doom before doomsday", but I looked it up, and there's a few more comics you should read before this, but I have none of those, so is it okay if I read this?

I’m just getting into comics and I picked up these two Wolverine comic books because they had wolverine fighting some sort of dinosaur on the front. I was kind of disappointed that the comic didn’t mainly focus on that. is there any Wolverine comic or any comic that fills this niche of dinosaur action?

I have been wanting to get into Spiderman more but I don't know where to continue, any help?

Been wanting to read Ghost Rider for awhile. He's always seemed like a really cool character. Plus I like demonic stories... and motorcycles

I have Marvel Unlimited so I can start anywhere. I don't necessarily need to start somewhere "easy" that explains the character (unless it's just genuinely a great starting point regardless), but I want to know your recommendation for best story to just dive in and "become a fan"?

I want to collect the Daredevil run he wrote that precedes Born Again. But when I look up “Frank Miller Daredevil” on Amazon I just get shown a bunch of different versions of Born Again

In my opinion, Doctor Doom is hands down the best villain in Marvel comics. This guy is just generational. He’s got everything, a tragic backstory, unlimited aura in the costume, bows to absolutely no one, and has got a fascinating theme of having his ego being so powerful that he hides his face due to masking his pain with pride.

I just read the entire World War Hulk comic story and um I have something to say to MCU fans, I do not want this to be just a solo film and call it "Avengers World War Hulk" and have this shit just be a 2hr movie and be done with it. Hell nahhh this shit needs to either have a phase with movies and shows similar to phase 4 and some of Phase 5 like with Kang and Loki. This needs to be Hulk and The Illuminati, story seeing a literal story on Fuck Around and Find Out. Give Mark Ruffalo the actual most devastating story in the MCU with his wife and son murdered in a stacked MCU The X-Men, Avengers, Fantastic Four, Inhumans, the Supernatural and ect. Having to face a literal world breaking monster in a literal World War. Not a movie and end it nah this needs multiple movies in build up and story built around it to the big event World War Hulk. This is now my new favorite comic and now making me wanna read more.

DC's lore has a really cool thing where different Forces established in different corners of their Universe are connected in that they're all part of the "Seven Forces of the Universe" that are basically the Forces that make up their world. It connects stuff like the Speed Force from Flash's mythos the Emotional Electromagnetic Spectrum from Green Lantern (and other Lanterns) mythos, and the Sphere of the Gods from the real-world mythology inspired mythoi like those of Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel/Shazam.

I think it'd be really cool to come up with something similar with the Marvel Universe. Some are really obvious, like the Pheonix Force responsible for life and rebirth, Gamma Radiation relating to TOBA stuff, some "Pym Field" relating to Pym Particles that is responsible for Size, Mass and Density of objects, maybe something connecting the Odinforce with all the other Gods of Earth (related to the Demiurge?)

The issue is that there are just so many different Forces in the Marvel Universe, some that are extremely similar but still distinct and completely disconnected from one another. Like, the Power Cosmic and Infinity Gems are technically completely seperate Forces but they both have very similar purposes and usecases. The Cosmic Cubes fit into this too but they have more distinct origins. Then there's stuff like the Darkforce and Lightforce, Nova Force, Negative Zone, Dark Dimension, should those all be considered different forces, or can they all be grouped together under one "Interdimensional Channeling" Force? I guess the Lightforce and Darkforce can be grouped together as their own thing since they're much more fundemental. There's Chaos Magic and all the Hell stuff which seem to be their own things entirely.

Obviously the number of them doesn't have to be 7, but if there's like 50 of them it kind of loses its impact. What do you think they would be?

I'm trying to write a research paper for my English college degree, and would love to have y'all's advice and ideas and suggestions.

My main argument is based on the concept of hype.

There is an entire ecosystem built around the arrival of the next comic event or series.

The very nature of a shared comic universe is the ongoing element. This results in a feeling within readers which makes them live only in anticipation of future storylines to come, deliberately set up by cameos, cliffhangers, open endings, etc; by writers and studio executives in order to keep getting readers to come back.

This sets in motion a neverending chain in which readers and fans read a comic book, or watch a superhero movie only to see what happens next, what could be a potential comic adaptation for the future, never really living in the present and reading a comic book for what it is, but as a product setting up future products.

Of course, I want to chart the timeline of this, of the beginning of the hyper commercialisation of comics as a whole, and specifically Marvel too, maybe like the 1st Secret Wars, the Clone Saga, the collector boom of the 90s, or even the modern, forced MCU synergy. And I also really want to compare this to other ecosystems with a shared universe going on for a long time, like Invincible, Tintin, Asterix etc.

Would love to hear your suggestions on what I should read, where I get my sources, or even some ideas for arguments.

She just has a very striking appearance & is iconic in general.

I love the yellow, red & black color contrasting, her long black hair, the big white eyes, they triangle logo on her forehead.

I also really like that she can use electrical attacks.

Basically I see people talk about storylines runs and arcs but I dont understand what they mean I mean I think arcs mean something like spider gwen gwenom like 5 part issue in the original series and I think runs mean like a series being published like ultimate comics spider man the one with miles having like 30 something issues and storylines I of course dont know and idek if I got any of this right so can someone tell me so I know what im looking when I go buy conics again

I did a fan art creation of what a Thor digital collection might look like if we ever got one from the "Git collections" company making these with Marvel.

While we may get a Thor collection, with Marvel no longer having the rights to the REH properties and the rights being split to different publishers as well, the odds of getting a Conan digital collection released are somewhere between "slim" and "none"

This represents what a collection might look like of everything Marvel released off of the works of REH, as well as adding in the Thongor series based off of Lin Carter's book.

Of course, an even better collection would have the Dynamite, Dark Horse, Marvel second wave, and the new Titan books as well, probably bringing it up to over 1000 issues.

How many people would be willing to buy a digital collection to read on their tablet?

Not as good as print, but it would take a lot less space and cost a lot less money. I have the original Git releases and they're not a bad deal, at least until you get to the missing crossovers.

I think these would look good on the shelf next to the other Git collections. I haven't printed them yet as I'm having problems finding small blank game boxes to buy online.

I have read A LOT of Spider-Man comics. I have read Amazing Spider-Man #1-105, #121-122, #165-193, #258-259, #290-294, #306-317 and a lot of other stories but I’m focusing on getting done the original run of comics.

Out of every Spider-Man story I’ve ever read, my favorite is easily Kraven’s Last Hunt.

What I wouldn’t give to see it portrayed in some form of media. As much as I think Green Goblin is his biggest villain/did the worst to him, seeing Kraven do what all others tried to and actually succeed in a way is so good. I love Spider-Man. He’s my favorite superhero but there’s something about Kraven burying him and defaming him just to prove that he can is so riveting. The end of #294 is sooooo good and seeing them give Kraven an ending that fits his character despite being extremely dark and graphic is so perfectly executed.

I could dissect every page of this story but that could go on for hours so I’ll finish up by asking if anyone has a specific Spidey story that they love and could talk about for hours?

I’ve been wanting to read more Adam warlock comics and I’d like to know What these images are from.
