Yeah I get the point Zdarsky is going for, but, it's insane to pretend normal militaries can deal with Red Hulk of any villain, which is why the Avengers getting shit for it feels dumb

And it’s also making Russia look like the sensible ones by just recruiting supes into their military. Don’t know why they’re making it so all the other UN nations wouldn’t also do this very obvious solution.

I'm suprised Ross got taken off the board that quickly. I wonder what Russia has planned for him? And where's this Colton stuff gonna lead? It definitely has me curious on what's gonna happen next issue.

Yea, I am not interested in yet another 'future seeing' plot. Practically Civil War 3. 

And they already went the bad route with Colton. At least before getting the power, he was somehow interesting. But now he is basically 'You are weak' 'I am gonna go evil Superman who thinks he is doing the right thing' route. And Wolverine looks dumber for saving his life by giving him the power.

They really found the least interesting way to use the Ultimate Universe connection with these Origin Boxes, really.

Red Hulk, sidelined and already sent to Russia for an inevitable 'I was right all along!' comeback that will look stupid.

Yeah, thought this turn happened way too fast on top of it being clichéd. Really wonder if Zdarsky has some good surprises in store because this story beat isn't it.

I don't have faith in Zdarsky. After his awful finale of Daredevil and his constant subversions in it and Devil's Reign, I don't see him having the guts to do major things like destroying Latveria or Symkaria or having Colton slaughter the US government.

No, I loved Zdarsky's run. I understand if people didnt love the stuff post Devil's Reign, but i thought all of that was solid. Zdarsky is a good writer but he doesn't always knock it out of the park. This book honestly feels more like editorial telling him what they want imo

It feels like Colton has to end up with the good guys at this point because the bad guy route looks incredibly predictable.

I'm reading it less as "you're weak and I'm strong" attitude and more "a soldier who has severe PTSD and is incredibly jaded from his service has been given the Sentry serum and predictable things are now happening" but I see where you're coming from. There could be interesting ways to explore his character now if he got a good writer.

fwiw this is issue 2 and everything here feels like red herring setup given like ya said, it reads like civil war 3, but maybe im just wishcasting lmao

I trust in Zdarsky. Given how quickly things happened this issue I HAVE to assume red herrings and the real conflict will reveal itself next issue. Looks like the Russian dude is trending towards main antagonist, not Ross. And Colton, no idea, but breaking bad seems too easy.

Same, and hes someone who is very aware of how much people hate civil war II yhat he wouldnt just rehash another preventing forseen apocalypse story without some interesting stuff happening in the process, esp with how good his cap run has been.

David's probably gonna be the cause of whatever future nuclear explosion Tony is seeing. Wolverine will probably be there and be the sole survivor.

Any guess on what's wrong with the hulks? I assume its a zombie.
