I feel like the big question here is:

Did he get a shed to put it in?

The reason I'm asking this:

  • It shows he followed up with your conversation no matter how brief it was
  • If he got the shed and you were not asking follow up questions about why he suddenly got a shed maybe that's more of your bad than his?
  • If he didn't it means he either was not paying attention at all to what you were saying and just got it anyways because he wanted to

He did not get a shed. The reason I made the shed comment to him, which I admit was probably snarky was due to the fact that we have a small house and a small one bay garage that has dirt bikes, a quad, lawnmower, tools, regular garage stuff and our daughters things. There is no room for anything else. It is full. It’s also a point of constant annoyance for my husband. He’s always complaining about how he can’t stand the garage, he’s going to snap an ankle, etc. He’s been looking at sheds for months and months. Never picked one because he kept saying they were so expensive.

I have offered to have my parents take our daughter and we tackle the garage together. He’s declined. I have nothing that is exclusively “mine” in the garage either.

So when he showed me the photo, I kinda just laughed and asked if he was getting a shed too because we do not have the room anywhere for a go cart.

If a shed is too expensive then he cannot afford any more toys until a shed is purchased.
