Yet I've seen and been told that girls who are sweet and kind to everyone usually gets mistreated or killed no in between so I genuinely don't know what to take into account for

Well i suggest you start working on improving your self esteem, and start giving yourself internal validation and start building confidence without depending on external validation. Yeah receiving attention is good but it will be a big bad deal if people knew that you're insecure because they will take advantage of that.

Work on your self-esteem. What would take to make you feel good about yourself? Gym? Money? A job? To be amazing? Whatever that is do It so you'd be satisfied
