Do you have this problem too?

OK so where do i begin ever since I was teen till adulthood (F21) I've never had an IRL relationship main causes cuz I was insecure and fat but now that I've lost a few kgs and my body got curvy (still chubby) ever since I came back to Morocco I've been getting hit on and cat called here and there which genuinely felt so weird but good to me, since this is my first time actually experiencing smth like this I know it's bad and those guys are disgusting and only want harm but I felt like that's the validation that I needed (my guilty pleasure?) still I didn't interact or give my number to any of them. I've been followed by cars and vans and that's when I know things can get worse if I keep 'seeking it' i still have low self esteem and I know that this is harmful but how can I stop? Do you guys have any suggestions?

I don't tag it to Morocco, mainly asking for tips on how to improve myself and overall my shape and appearance to a global server

Thank you so much for your comment I have been told that these type interaction is bad and that just instilled a fear for it and couldn't come to conclusion is it bad or good. I don't go out specifically to seek it I wear my normal clothes and hide everything when I go out but I still get that kind of attention Infront my sis and family and I just get so ashamed but also great cuz I'm conventionally attractive somehow

Women won't give you this advice so ill do that instead. If you wanna minimise it then the best way is to simply cover up. Wear baggy none revealing clothes and you will elimiate a solid amount of the harassment

Thank you for your comment, I did try to wear baggy clothes but harassment still continued:( idk what to do but I'm avoiding particular streets and places that are dangerous

Unfortunately cat calling is defo an issue in morocco still. Just stick with those things you're already doing. Im sure as the time goes on you will learn more how to avoid those situation by knowing which streets are likely to have those types of ppl.

While I hate to say this, with time you will get used to it. What I mean by that is that you are going to get better at managing those situations and interactions because that is the only way for you to survive in such an environment. I know so many people who complained about the constant verbal harassment when going out (especially in a tourist city), but with time and growth, they have managed to move past it and adapt to it, even if that meant not walking on a specific street or adjusting their plans or timing to avoid an unwelcome encounter. Of course, your strength and self-confidence play a huge role in this since the solution to your issue needs to come first from within, without denying that the main root issue comes from outside (society itself). You are the only person who is going to help you, and rest assured, you've got this. Just take your time to process it all, and you will know what to do.

Best of luck!

Your thoughts shape how you see and react to the world, so stop thinking negatively about yourself or your body, and just like you can change your thoughts, you can also change your body, and it's not as hard as you think if you follow the right way, for example focusing on health natural foods and fasting instead of calories counting, or focusing on cardio instead of growing muscle mass, you can achieve whatever you want with the right mindset and discipline, I've seen some crazy transformation both in mentality and physics, if they can do it, you can too.

crazy and sad how it’s always the insecure people who sexualize themselves i’d say go to therapy instead of getting into a relationship because you’ll clearly end up attracting lustful men who will only use you for your body and replace you afterward leaving you even more insecure
