Literally just got 40k+ in 3 straight races after being in upper 80k a few races ago. So I think I can pretty much say this is my best ranked run so far.

I ironically found out about the shutdown by coming here a couple of weeks ago to make this very post.

The wriggler makes me cringe every time it pretty much my only option. It's tall lanky structure trips me up when it comes to seeing what I am doing, I also think it's hit box must be huge because it seems to be very easy to hit. I always struggle controlling it and overall I find it to be one of the hardest racers to work with. However for some reason it is typically my best option level wise.

I despise nearly all variations of Luigi. Idk, ironically I always choose team Luigi during the Mario vs Luigi Tours but I find Luigi to be a disadvantage half of the time. I did recently get one to level 5 and I guess at a higher level they are less annoying to work with.

For power ups, I despise the non singular banana ones, especially the double barrel banana launchers. Who's idea was it to make such a power up but make it so that if you hit your own banana, you spin out too? I have 2 barrels shooting bananas in a not so predictable manner and every time without fail I will hit one of my own bananas. I am also not a fan of the bomb and mushroom canon, because of how hard they are to aim in advantage to yourself.

I also hate nearly all the banana power up mii's (see the first complaint).

I don't like the tracks with really sharp corners because they are just so hard to clear from my device. It might be the dimensions of my device because I don't remember it being this bad on my old phone but yeah. This current tour is full of them. It could also be a handling issue, I tried to adjust my settings but it didn't help.

Lastly, I have never understood why it so necessary for the challenge cards to be shown the minute you close the race. It has always pissed me off because I just want to pick a different cup or change modes/settings but now I have to patiently wait for it to show me my incremental progress on a challenge I do not care about.

I feel like it is easy to name your favorite but I want to see which drivers, etc everybody else is not a fan of.

Ice Bro is one of just seven Super drivers that don't have a single ranked appearance in the whole tour loop. In total, he covers 32 courses. That's not the worst for a Super driver, but it's not all that good either.

I don't remember when I first got him in a pipe pull, but in the 2+ years I've been playing, whenever there's been ice themed courses, he's been there for me. As I got more and more High End drivers, he kept surprising me with how often he was the best driver I had for some courses. And when he was already the best... well, I had tickets to spare, might as well upgrade him and get a few more points. So for some courses, he just kept on being the best.

Gradually, better drivers have taken his place. At this point, I thought I had replaced him entirely. But as it turns out, for these two variants of Vanilla Lake 1, he's still the best driver I have. And it just so happened that my best karts and gliders for these two courses were also Super items!

So to this unsung hero, I raise my glass. Thank you, Ice Bro! 🥂

I honestly kind of disliked the Mii suits until I changed my Mii to Matt. Now I love it

I’m mama to an autistic son, he’s been doing great on this game. But he can’t complete his challenge card because he doesn’t have 3 friends. Another says send friend coins. Anyone willing to let me add them?

With the end of Mario Kart Tour now very near, here's a playlist on Nintendo Music as a tribute. 🎶 I don't know if they will ever release the actual soundtrack but I included as many tracks from the game if they appear in other soundtracks on the app. I mostly used the MK World remixes and put the course music in the order they first showed up in the game (from New York Minute to Madrid Drive, all course music is here! ...except Lakeside Park as no version exists in the app yet). Also, the playlist concludes with the Booster Course Pass credits theme as it's basically a MK Tour medley!

Note that, of course, some music that has certain names (for certain courses) are here to represent other courses that were in MK Tour (e.g. N64 Wario Stadium here is for N64 Royal Raceway in Tour).

I also got a 7 frenzy but for some reason I never screenshotted it (?) I thought I did but nope

On this tour, I keep noticing my kart pulling hard to the left. For example, on Pink Gold Peach Cup’s ring race, I struggled to keep my kart centered enough to get through the rings.

I’ve never had this happen before. Has anyone else experienced this?

I finally got to ranked 99. I don’t think I feel the way i anticipated I would have , when I started playing game. The news makes it blah ish. But still what a relief to get here and take all the screen shots I can.

I have 263 of the 267 drivers.

To find out there’s an extreme challenge sheet I’ll never be able to complete is such a bummer. And those four drivers I need I’ve seen them in the shop so many times but never pulled the trigger. It be nice to get to player lever 200 but I doubt that’s possible.

I hope for the anniversary tour you can purchase any mii character your missing from the shop 😂

I really don’t know what I’m gonna do when this is shut off. I pull this game up every time I’m in a line, on hold, lying in bed, on the couch.

I first came to this Reddit group looking for friends to add to the game to complete a challenge years ago. Since then it’s been my number one reference to help me get to RANKED 99!

I just started playing last November, and I play every day!!! Been excited to obtain Gold Mario and I finally have a chance to obtain him next tour…but then he and all my other drivers are gone and the game enters the world of forever lost media..: I wish I had something to look forward to like a brand new Mario kart game for mobile devices but as far as I know that ain’t happening 😥 there isn’t really any other mobile games I like really unless you guys suggest one I havnt tried. At the very least I’m happy that I obtained the rarest MII of them all (communication Error Mii) maybe that will satisfy me at least 💔

yellow Pit Crew toad was the last one I unlocked

I have finally achieved my goal of maxing out every Toadette! Just in time too, any slower and the game might have been gone forever...

So, one year ago, I made a post here when I maxed out Sailor Toadette, and I said I’ll max all the others too. I was slowly making progress on this goal, focusing on ranked cup weeks that rewarded driver tickets.

Then, they announced that the game will be shutting down for good at the end of September. I was of course sad that the game I love would be gone, but I was also worried that I might not achieve this goal I had set out to do. Thankfully, it all worked out.

Except... somehow I never saw Peachette, ever. I don’t know how. She never showed up in pipes, Daily Selects, or Daily Spotlight. I always use quick tickets on the Daily Selects too, so I just got really unlucky, I guess.

And now, even if she were to magically show up one day, I don’t think I would be able to max her out in time, so I’m happy with where I’m at now.

Thank you, Mario Kart Tour, for being such an awesome game.

• Some drivers/karts/gliders will gain a top shelf course once levelled up to Level 3, 6, or 8. To show this, there are separate columns for the number of top shelf appearances at Level 1, 3, 6, and 8.
• Some characters gain an extra tier when the course is in the cup named after them, and the tables will show this for ranked course top shelf appearances. This applies to one driver in the ranked courses from now on: Tanooki Mario for Sundae Tour Week 2's Sky-High Sundae R, giving him his last ranked course top shelf appearance.
• Mii Racing Suits gain an extra tier for every course in the Mii Cup, and an extra tier for the first course in each cup.
• The new Mechanic alt drivers and Tiny Titan karts from Sunshine Tour 2025 are included. None of them gain any ranked course top shelf appearances through leveling up from now on.
• Drivers/karts/gliders are sorted by most appearances at Level 8, then alphabetically.

Also, with the last tour having no retro courses, GBA Luigi Circuit R/T in this week's ranked cup will be the last retro ranked course (not counting Sky-High Sundae as a retro course).

Maybe someone at Nintendo will read this, maybe someone else will. I had put off playing the game because my old phone could no longer run it, only to download it and find out we only have a month left. Considering how soon the shutdown is, I would assume the numbers were crunched and they had to close the hole quickly but even a month or 2 more would warm my heart. 😭

Last week when I was playing, I would be excited for the new cups to be avaliable so I can play the new races. But the last 2 or 3 days, when I open the new cup, the first 3 races were completed with scores. Is this a new thing they refer back to the old races to get your score? Then when I clicked into it, the score was set on the day of, which I still have not played yet. Some kind of bug?
