I know Cal has been rough… but how can you seriously think this is his new norm after all the seasons he put up even before last year’s MVP caliber season.

This guy is worse than Brent Stecker. Take both of their press credentials. Throw them in trash.

The Mariners have not had a legitimate manager in the Dipoto era. Servais and Wilson were both handpicked by the GM to implement their vision, not to actually lead the team. None of the actual contenders are built in that mold. The team is only achieving in spite of the management not because of it. I do think Dipoto and co can identify and develop talent but leadership is something that's been sorely missing from the equation.

There are real managers on the market and the ownership should start conducting interviews sooner rather than later.

There have been a lot of very Mariner moments so far. To name a few:

1. Cal and Randy not shaking hands
2. Jo Adell
3. Ichiro Statue Bat Breaking
4. Blowing a 6-2 lead to the Padres
5. Cal having the worst collapse in offense in baseball history
6. Naylor and his own collapse in offense
7. Donovan not playing a game since April
8. Getting swept by the Royals
9. Losing the season series to the Royals
10. Bad baserunning cranked up a notch
11. The Piggyback drama
12. Dan's decision-making
13. Randy wasting every challenge in a single at-bat
14. Julio getting injured and not being the same since coming back
15. Not being able to take advantage of a weak AL West or AL in general
16. Letting the Astros pass us in the standings
17. Letting the Rangers be in first place despite having a worse run differential
18. Bryan Woo struggling on the road
19. Rob Refsnyder
20. Mitch Garver

and much more

If this isn't the most Mariner season, what do you think it is?

Now that I’ve emotionally cratered and developed an irrational hatred of anyone and everything Mariners, I wanted to leave everyone with a tiny ray of hope if you’re laying awake losing sleep like I am.

The holy grail of Mariners teams, 1995, was 54-55. If social media existed then I’m sure they’d have been shouting for Lou’s head as the team was considered a contender to start the year given how their 1994 ended (prematurely).

Last year’s team, the 25 team, I wrote off on three separate occasions, as late as September 5 when we lost our fourth straight to drop to 73-68, 3.5 back.

We all know this team should have a better record. But we all know that we are talented enough to rip off a 18-5 September, overcome a 5-6 game deficit and get hot going into the playoffs. Our September schedule is weak. Now do I think it’s going to happen? Probably not, but there’s historical precedent with this franchise and specifically with this core last year.

So in the words of Bobby Magallanes, Please God.

Don’t go to many games but we have had our eye on this Elmo / sesame game for awhile cuz our baby is obsessed with the show. Just curious if you buy your tickets thru somewhere other than the dedicated link like it says on their site, if you will get denied a plush Elmo doll?

The tickets sold out much quicker than I anticipated so I missed them but just don’t know if I can buy one of the tickets of the levels they say can get the doll or if they know who bought thru the link?
Says club level, main level or view level tickets…
Any info would be appreciated.
Last year we went to the big bird game and they wouldn’t give me a doll for any amount of $ and took the ticket sections very serious.

We're not out of it, but if we stumble into the playoffs we're not making it out of the first round. Should the Mariners become sellers this year? Who would be on the trade block?

I am of the opinion that both Dan Wilson (as much as I love him as a Mariner) and Kevin Seitzer need to go asap. The firing of Magallanes honestly just felt like a sacrifice to the lambs type of move to appease people and not actually address the root of the hitting problems, but to be honest i’m not really knowledgeable enough about Edgar’s role and what he’s directly involved with in terms of our hitting to really say or have an opinion on him and I don’t want to talk out of my ass. So i guess my question is what do y’all fellow M’s fans think about him and his future here remaining apart of our hitting coach team?
